Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a carnotaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a carnotaurus.
Having a pack of Dilos is a good way to combat one early on: they can slow it down with their spit attack, they can be generally hard for it to consistently hit, and carnos focus more on dinos than humans so if you get ambushed chances are it might change focus to your dilos. It can be possible to kill a carno with just 2 dilos if they can take a hit and you provide cover fire with any ranged option.
so one time i was in my house and i was crafting a behemoth dino gateway and i hear battle music play i look outside my house and dead carno my dinos killed it in less than 2 seconds
Now, your probably wondering what do I do to tame a Carno?
1. Make some tranq arrows, about four
2. Find the Carno of course
3. Shoot it on the neck bit but you can on the body
4. This gets tricky, you can feed it raw meat but if it’s over the level of 2, you need prime meat otherwise it will wake up before you can tame it, or just keep feeding it narco berries so it stays unconscious
5. This Carno is your sworn protecter, keep it away from stronger creatures just in case it gets killed
Now you can go get a Carno!
Pretty good beginner dino, tamed a level 1 one just now-took 1 traq arrow from a cross bow to knock, 5 regular raw meat to tame, and I didn't even get hurt in the process. As well as doing a sufficient amount of damage to protect you, it has an ability to knock creatures back with its horns.
Hey fellow ark players! You want one of these monsters?
Hide-staking meat-hoarding carno? I
My method is quite risky for up to one and either keep tranqing it or just hit it with a bat! When it's knocked out feed it prime meat,or regular meat, etc and wait! Make sure you get that thing a saddle and then you have yourself a killing machine, enjoy!

Large bear traps are the most under used thing in the game. Get like 7 or 8 of the large variety and when you see a carno put one down between you and it, agro it, shoot transfer and rinse and repeat till he's down.
How to tame a Carnotaurus by the Dodotamer 🦤
Step 1:Make a bow or crossbow(if possible).
Step 2:Get around 30-20 tranq arrows. Those are more than enough but make sure to bring more in case you miss.
Step 3:(OPTIONAL)Make a 2x2 stone foundations,16
stone doorways and 4 stone ramps.Put the foundations AFTER you found your Carno. Then place the doorways around the foundations. After that put the ramps to the side which you want your Carno to get trapped.
Step 4:How to find a Carno
-Look around the west zone 3
-Look around near redwoods
-Never go near Carnos if there is a Yuty nearby in the snowy biome.
Step 5:Put your trap somewhere which the Carno can’t aggro.Trap the Carno, then tranquillize it.
Step 6:Find meat (prime meat If possible)
You won’t be needing narcotics if you use prime meat.
If it successfully tamed,name it.
Step 7: Profit
I hope it would be helpful

I just got it stuck and shot it in the face with tranqs ✌️👏🏽
Just so people know Carnos can kill you off horses it happened to me on official
Large bear traps and tranq arrows work great!
It was actually really easy to tame! The one I tamed was distracted by a little dino and I shot him with narcotic arrows 4 times I believe and not even a stack of normal meat (I didn't use prime) and it took awhile, I gave mine a few narcotic 5-7 I believe hope this helps!
How to tame them in the Easiest way! (Trap needed)
What do we need?
1. Meat (prime meat and kibble are the best I think)
2. Fast dino you can ride on.
3. Tranquilizer arrows NOT STONE ARROWS! (btw I use crossbow)
Tip: if you have spyglass, look at their level, than you will see how much arrows you need.
How to tame them!
1. Lead them to the trap with the dino.
2. Knock them out with the arrows.
3. Put meat in their inventory.
Boom! You have a carno! Good luck and enjoy! ☆☆
Tip: create a saddle for them, they are pretty fast and strong.
How to tame early on:
Find one and stalk it from a good distance and wait for it to attack something with a good sized health pool such as a stego and while they're fighting pelt it with tranq arrows, it will probably kill the other dino then start to run away, keep up with it and keep hitting it until it's knocked out
The first time I tamed one I just stood there and walled hits till it was knocked out
I cheated out on taming the old fashioned way. I know it doesn’t always yield the greatest results but I saw a mammoth kill the mother and seen a juvenile and imprinted it then took it to my base and fed her until she was full grown. Easiest way to get a tame done but won’t always yield the stronger Dino.
These guys can be so annoying to tame and find sometimes. You find one and get two scenarios:
1. Oh shit! Let me tame one! I can just brute force it or make a trap- huh wait, where are you goin- no focus on me! Stop fighting the local compy! Those Trikes are going to kill you, stop!
2. Oh finally found one, I see it's busy eating. Let me park my Argy... now where were we- wasn't it here before??? Hold up getting on my Argy back... There it is, looking for fight. Park my Argy. Let's go tame one! ... where is it????
Gotta love my dino with an IQ level of negatives
Tame a female scorpion in a cave then if you hit the carno fast enough it doesn’t aggro on you and it’s a free tame!
Carnos can stuck between trees like Trikes. I was lucky I got a Carno Lvl 60 at Hidden Island between a couple of trees. 10 tranq shots later she (a female Carno) was mine 😊
Hellooo
I just want to say why is everybody doing traps and stuff!!
All you need to do is get on a cliff or rock that it can’t reach you and shoot it with tranq/biotoxin or even with a slingshot you can do this with rexes and theris too.
