Be aware that to increase effectiveness you must feed them tames like moschops or parasaurs

If you have high enough health, you can tame one from that alone

If you dont have enough bloodbags, they will feed on your health. Make it grab you, have enough bloodbags in your inventory. :3

Hate endlessly dying while making blood bags? Use medbrews! Each blood bag takes 25HP and meds restore 40HP over a couple seconds. With a 300HP character, you can craft 10-12 bags then use 9-12 medbrews, keep crafting while healing and repeat when near full HP. I use bronto to gather tint/narco berries and spoiled meat. Waaaay less frustrating than seeing HLN-A spawn me in every minute.

I think they changed the blood bags for 145 spiders it ate 200 and didn’t tame

Definitely bring more than the stated blood packs. I would say 120-130 to be safe as a 145 took 105 packs from me and started taking my own blood before taming

Don’t wear glider suit when it tries to pull you in because it’s bugged. You can wear it after it latches on to you though.

When finding them bring extra blood bags I accidentally tamed 3 cause I had enough and I kept getting kidnapped I like these fellows BTW a common myth is that you need the blood packs in your slots no your inventory will do fine

It’s a passive game. Use the blood extraction tool to get blood bags. Lots of them. Make sure to have healing vials. Get webbed and pulled in with the blood bags in the passive taming slot at the end of your bar on the right. Keep putting more in as he/she drinks them. I needed 400 ish for a 95

When you are taming BLOODSTALKER WATCH OUT CUZ BUGS WILL KILL YOUR BLOODSTALKER +YOU

It will take a long to to get the blood packs, and bring around 1k.

I had 700 blood packs and the taming only got to like 50 % the amount of blood u need to tame one of these is honestly insane wildcard should really change this tbh

Bring parachutes just in case u need to get away from it

Stats here seem to be off for single player, just tried taming a 140, used 900-1100 bloodpacks and only got to 73%, my sliders are default for taming, but single player is selected.

On private servers with flyers enabled you can grab with a wyvern and drop them in a box with doorways and just toss in your sacrifices to let BS grab.

I have a lvl 267 bloodstalker. It took 150 blood packs. I know they eat alot more. It only wanted 150 blood packs.

Few things that I have noticed while raising bloodstalkers:

They are a very easy raise, 2 days is a very short time and they rarely eat if you do it right. They will eat raw meat like most while raising, but man it’s like feeding a rex. They chug through the meat. Rather than doing constant meat runs, grab yourself an owl (or make a bunch of beds if on genesis) and farm about 100-200 blood packs. They eat these much slower than raw meat, and it makes life a lot easier.

Don’t quote me on accuracy, and correct me if i’m wrong, but on official settings they eat about 25 blood packs an hour. Within the bloodstalkers inventory, bloodbags have a 1:45:00 spoil timer which is awesome. Basically, you can put a few hundred in these things inventories and leave them out overnight if you’re going for mutations and not imprints. Test for yourself and see on these numbers i crunched before you go to bed or work, best wishes!

They made it very difficult again. Use a paracer with platform saddle, and an enclosed box with a hatch frame to position yourself so that only the one you’re interested in can grab you(try without blood a couple of times to get right position). Then allow it to eat a few sheep(for te), before finally letting it pull youself up with blood packs on hand.
