You don’t have to breed a bloodstalker you can use a snow owl and keep draining blood from your body and the snow owl will heal you and then go to a bloodstalker let it zip you and it will keep draining blood from your inventory and there you go

The bloodstalker is in gen 2 in the lower left side of the map ps bring bug repellent

I had 700 blood packs and the taming only got to like 50 % the amount of blood u need to tame one of these is honestly insane wildcard should really change this tbh

An easy way to render the bloodstalker completely harmless is to tether it before it tethers you. (by tether I mean to shoot it with a grappling hook) anchoring a bloodstalker with it makes it drop from its hunting spot and stop moving or using its web tethers. Similar to the bola, IT WILL STILL ATTACK if you're close enough, I found this out the hard way when I tried to tame one the old fashioned way 😅 also, this was on a solo game so I'm not sure if it works differently on official servers or not, and I'm 99% sure it's a bug, but here it is 2022 and sarcos still only lunge eastward on Xbox.

Bring parachutes just in case u need to get away from it

U can make them stick to any nearby walls and u can make them grab any small predators nearby

Be carefull if you fight with one of them, when your bloodstalker will die soon he will drawn your blood for survive killing you in the procces

Can pick with wyvern but not qetzal

When trying to get grabbed on x box. They will not pull you in from pike over 25M away. Advice: use grappling hooks to get up close. Or use parachutes is accidentally grabbed.

Stats here seem to be off for single player, just tried taming a 140, used 900-1100 bloodpacks and only got to 73%, my sliders are default for taming, but single player is selected.

Once u tame one, keep in mind that you aren’t immune to other BS’s grabbing you.Although, I don’t know if this is just in my game, but it seems the combat music will start a few moments before they grab you off your mount, so when you hear combat music when swinging around, beware that you have likely aggroed a wild BS and that it will grab you if you don’t get out of aggro range quick enough.

Anytine i hear the music when in the bog i hit it full speed because im happy with my 150 perfect tame and would rather not lose it great source of chitin just shoot outa tree and then harvest with a chainsaw or breed babays and kill right away. Youll still get about 120 chitin minimum no matter what ur rates are unless u have them at the absoulute lowest best chitin farm in the game

On my laptop i have all graphic settings on low. Noticed that you can see bloodstalker far further than on my pc where i have all settings on epic. On laptop spiders kind of sparkle, that makes easy to snipe undisereable ones and keep those you want to tame.

On private servers with flyers enabled you can grab with a wyvern and drop them in a box with doorways and just toss in your sacrifices to let BS grab.

I have a lvl 267 bloodstalker. It took 150 blood packs. I know they eat alot more. It only wanted 150 blood packs.

Few things that I have noticed while raising bloodstalkers:

They are a very easy raise, 2 days is a very short time and they rarely eat if you do it right. They will eat raw meat like most while raising, but man it’s like feeding a rex. They chug through the meat. Rather than doing constant meat runs, grab yourself an owl (or make a bunch of beds if on genesis) and farm about 100-200 blood packs. They eat these much slower than raw meat, and it makes life a lot easier.

Don’t quote me on accuracy, and correct me if i’m wrong, but on official settings they eat about 25 blood packs an hour. Within the bloodstalkers inventory, bloodbags have a 1:45:00 spoil timer which is awesome. Basically, you can put a few hundred in these things inventories and leave them out overnight if you’re going for mutations and not imprints. Test for yourself and see on these numbers i crunched before you go to bed or work, best wishes!

They made it very difficult again. Use a paracer with platform saddle, and an enclosed box with a hatch frame to position yourself so that only the one you’re interested in can grab you(try without blood a couple of times to get right position). Then allow it to eat a few sheep(for te), before finally letting it pull youself up with blood packs on hand.

If you are on unofficial and brought a wyvern of any kind from valguero/ragna, and flying is enabled, you are in luck boi.

They don't aggro on such big creatures, so feel free to fly around, find the perfect level. Wyverns are able to pick bloodstalkers up, bring it to a safe spot, jump off of your mount and enjoy being sucked.
