The Mainland

"You can't!" Shouted Diana, "your training isn't over, you need to stay."

"He can go if he chooses," Moirae said, "he's an adolescent, if he chooses to leave he can and we can't stop him. Besides, these three can take care of themselves, nothing we can do will keep him from leaving, so let him."

"Thank you Moirae," Asclepius replied.

"What I said earlier applies to you too, if you want to return to the pack you can whenever you want," Moirae said.

"We're ready to start bringing you over to the mainland," said Elpis.

"Alright," Moirae replied, "pack! Go as close to the shore as possible and spread out, we're getting off this island."

As Elpis and Achelois took flight the allos cheered and shouted, the pair swooped down and grabbed an allo each. They continued until dusk, when Elpis put down the last allo the whole pack erupted into cheers, hatchlings squawked while the rest ran up and down the beach. After celebrating, they ventured into the forest and slept for the night, "this is my first night of freedom and last with the pack," thought Achelois, "tomorrow my life begins, tomorrow I'm free."
