Tried picking one up with Argie got it but for some reason it just comes out of grip

Dude I spent almost 1 hour looking for a female archeop I found one and tamed it I wanted one to mate it with my males I'm gonna get another one dude but on mobile make sure to give it food do not force feed it because I did and da baby died :c I was so sad because it was so much wait and it was cute because I forced fed it and a glitch happened and he never ate and he died im gonna Miss you charlie

When taming on mobile, bring more tranqs than you need. Their hitbox while on the trees is very difficult to hit and they are too small to reliably hit while they are flying. Try to hit them while they are on the ground. They have a low torpor so not many tranqs needed but it drops quickly.

This is extremely easy even without a proper taming weapon, just kill some random Terror Bird and maybe it'll drop a bow+tranq arrows and start tra wing the guy

P.S, he eats chitin

They are a very useful tame here is how to tame: get bolas and stay away couple of feet (when they get scared they run up trees) knock it out with darts, arrows or fists ( anything stronger might kill it ) make sure to have knock out berry's cuz they wake up very fast. Get your chitin and feed it. After you tame it pick it up and jump off a cliff ( u will fly ) to go down push X to glide again push X you don't want to drop halfway from the sky then glide again your bird will have a hard time flying again and u will die. I suggest using the night vision of the snowy owl, and the net projectile on the harpoon. If you can find one. Im struggling, apparently it's the only dino that can harvest sap. Dododex says so.

Arches can be picked up with argys which makes easy for catching and knocking out!

Try to grab it with an argy and put it in a thatch pit with a roof then once contained tranq away

Very annoying. One second their running haywire in front of you, the next their gone.

Protip: like the vulture, in Scorched if you find one walking around throw a tent over it and go inside to KO with whatever you want. Makes for a safe and easy tame same for any of the small tames.

If you have a flyer and the archaeopteryx is flying high just hit it once it should fall down then just run after it it is easy after that

To those whose archaeopteryx bug and disappear as soon as they hit the ground, the only solution I have is getting on a flyer that lets you equip things while riding them. I used my griffin and bola'd one while airborne. They will fall to the ground after. Lost 9 bolas trying to hit on while it was on the ground. Best of luck!

Also it has a torpor hit if u upgrade melee and have them inside ur base with a bunch of troodons or small inside base tames these things can paralyze u while another high level tame kills you I suggest these things for inside ur base along with troodons troodons will constantly keep u knocked out had a few when I was starting up

They can also be used as a flock of very powerful birds if you have 10+ of them.

Adorable living parachute. I like to trap them under the feet of of my Dino and shoot it with tranqs, after that it's pretty easy. It's just very hard to find unless in scorched earth.
