What are tips for archaeopteryx? Tips and strategies for archaeopteryx in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Can occasionally be found on the ground. If so, bola and knock out with fists, I fear that anything else might kill it. Feed a little chitin and boom an adorable feathered parachute!
When playing on the Center, be warned that they are very DIFFICULT to find because they hide in the bushes. If you aren't careful, you'll probably get lost and die by the Carnos and Terror Birds that lurk in the Redwoods.
Usually found in and around the redwood forests, these little guys can be used as parachutes if you fall from a tame/ structure and save you dying. You will probably need a bola because although a passive creature it will fly to the nearest tree and latch on if you get too close
On mobile next to impossible to tame the normal way, I just tamed one by grabbing it from the top of a tree and bringing it very far away from redwoods, then tranq it then tame it. Lots of work, but I love them so it’s worth it.
Whoever said that archaeopteryx is not technically a dinosaur and that no dinosaurs have been discovered with feathers, you are dead wrong. Archaeopteryx is the closest link to both birds and dinosaurs, and modern birds today are technically classified as dinosaurs, scientifically speaking. Also, modern birds did not exist long before dinosaurs. Archaeopteryx was the earliest known creature that could be classified as a bird. Dinosaurs had been around for about 80 million years before archaeopteryx. Also, many dinosaurs have been discovered or theorized to have feathers. Humans didn’t “put them on,” many theropod Dinos had feathers, proving that they are related to birds. The many feathered dinosaurs found at that site in China were not “made.” They we’re well preserved by volcanic ash in the area. It has been scientifically proven that dinosaurs had feathers, and evolved into birds. Don’t lie.
Found on the redwood forest on mobile, thought not that common.
I found this thing near the redwoods and I fell in love-so cute.
Found one before, fell in love. Tried to tame it and then this level 50 enforcer came over and murdered me, Yes this was on extinction.
You can tell these apart from microraptors by looking at their tail a microraptor has feathers in a circular shape at the end of their tail but these guys have a line of feathers going all the way down.
How to tame this living parachute:
1. Find one and knock out
2. Put 4-5 Chitin and wait (feed Narcoberries or Narcotics to keep it asleep)
3. When tamed, CAREFULLY bring back home because it spawns in areas with Carnos and Terror Birds
4. Enjoy!
