I HAVE ONE of these guys and i can garantee you is the best manual farmer in a oyster that you grab 10 you with him get 58/75.... for pearls in the game, this guy have a high torpor because his i recomend you bring his kibble if the tame road much time kibble is very better but no spoils and bring toxin or narcotics he have a huge torpor but fall fast caution with the other creatures bring a strong tame that can defend the angler make impriting of this guy to get best speed to run damage to farm and weight i recomend you use the harpoon or the toxicant arrow ok? Ok bye!
Okay so on asa to actually tame these things you need to do 1 of 2 methods.. have a buddy who can bring you prime while you sit and wait with it because the torpor timer isn’t friendly for solos. If you must tame it solo as it’s used to get way more silica pearls than you can get by hand (you literally swim up to the pearl and attack and it will gather the pearls. About 50-60 per pearl vs your hand which is like 12-20 max. If you must tame solo grab about 500 narco berries specially narco berries and let the torpor drain just about all the way down. Feed all of them but keep a narcotic of some sort on you wether it’s biotoxin or narcotics for when you get back but the naroberries will take a lot longer to fill the torpor meter giving you an extended amount of time to go out and find a few babies for prime. Unless your far enough in or lucky enough to have or know where some Ovis are. Best time to tame these are on 2x weekends or holiday events. Or your favorite boosted server. But follow either methods and enjoy mass amounts of electronics!
You can tame them in the bubbles on Eldritch Isle in Crystal Isles. Use Tranq Darts from outside. Feed them regular kibble but keep plenty of narcotic on hand.
You need more harpoon tranqs than what dododex said. On official, i had to use 60 harpoon tranqs, and dex said it would need 30..
The amount of arrows needed to knock out is way more than stated so be ready, and so are narcotics....10/10 dodedex.

Not sure if if this is a bug or intended, but the eels did not dismount me while on pearl run. Bring stims tho.

I've currently not wanted an Angler due to to their only use being for the gel that let's us Tame Cndinarias, but I know how to. First, go very, very deep into the ocean(Like, Mosa deep.), and look around for a blinding light. Turn up the gamma if you must, and you'll likely find an Angler to tame. Use Shock Darts, maybe a a Dunkylo to get you down there and protect you, and watch out for Mosasauruses or Eurptyds. You might also find the Squid down there, but I forgot it's name. Anglers aren't nessacerily a better tame in the game, but if you want, that's how you do it!
Taming this creature is very easy find the point where i cant co up anymore and stay above this and fire away
When taming with a crossbow shoot it rapidly if u don't u will kill it they are not goin to kill u they will hit u an run

anglers chase as so i hit it with my diplcaulus them dodging the attacks of them after i hit the anglers with my diplcaulus they will ignore me with a few seconds then they attack me again then i hit them then they will ignore me again in a few seconds
guys pls tell me why is this happening!?
