ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Stories Tips

What are some stories about the yutyrannus? Memorable yutyrannus stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
I want to tell you about a lost friend I had in ark, the first ever yuty I tamed, his name was Danny he was high lvl and we did everything togethor he helped me conquer countless foes, bosses, you name it we could have done it, after that I got him some friends to help him out because he started having trouble beating tougher creatures, a few rexs and 4 more yutys, so then I beat the game the beta, and was now going for the alpha dinopithicus king, this was it, it was eithor ascend to a new ark, or fall harder than anybody has, who is to tell if the cards are in my favor but this was it, it was happening, THE final boss of the lost island, I brought all of my worthy companions and we went forth to battle, 13 ten Rex, VERY high lvled in the 800/900 range, all of my yutys, in the 600/800 range, and two megatheriums and a daeodon, I started the boss fight and my gut was second guessing this choice, but it was too late, it had already started, I rode Danny and we went straight to battle not to waste any time, and it was just chaos and madness, bombs fell and there were mini brawls happening everywhere you looked, it was going ok, until the 2nd yuty I tamed dropped dead, and my heart began to sink. This was it I might not make it, I rush in to roar giving the Rex’s more courage, until one of my Rex’s dropped, this one had a LOT of health 200,000 and a VERY good saddle, all of them had ALOT of health and good saddles so if one died, there would be more that came with the lost. We were more than halfway to beating the boss when all the sudden a bomb dropped on my yuty, dropping Danny’s health from 60,000 to 43.000 that is 1/3 of his health, then to Rex came in like freaking bodyguards and destroyed it, the boss was 2/3 to dieing, then 3 more Rex dropped, now I was questioning if this was actually worth it, my favourite dinosaurs were dropping dead, I knew eventually I would fall too, so I rush in to put dmg on the boss occasionally filling my Rex with courage, until I was targeted by the boss, I tried to get away because I was gonna die real quick, and yet again two Rex came then 3 more, then I see another yuty coming, then the boss jumped off the pillar towards me, so I ran but it smacked me dismounted me, terrified I try to find Danny, and I turn around to see him run straight into the boss fight, at the top of the screen I see Danny, has… died and I thought to myself now this is personnel all of the fear inside me for Danny just ran cold reading that text, and nothing but pure rage boiled inside me, nothing was gonna stop me from avenging my best friend, an amargesaurus was attacking me so I shot it point blank with my ascendant sniper, then I ran straight toward a clear area to unload on the boss, and another Rex died because it was singled out, and another yuty named fluffy, ran in and then… we won, I beat lost island, Danny helped me through all of the bosses, and had fallen at the very last boss, he is a true friend, he even though his life was on the line ran straight into battle, he sacrificed himself even though it wasn’t the most logical decision he did it for the best, I still think of him as a hero, his grave rests in a beautiful flower filled beach shore, with a solid stone with his name carved in it, with the others who have fallen there graves stand behind him, he is very special to me, Rest In Peace my dearest friend Danny… one up=A roar for danny. Thanks for whoever actually read this.

Furry, scurry and hurry
Beware of my bite
For it is quite a fright
I will cause you eternal pain
Because I will break your veins
Furry, scurry and hurry
I will cause your dinos a fright
Even worse if it’s at night
I will cause you a heart attack
If you dare retract
Don’t you try to dare
Give me a scare
Or else your blood is mine
And your soul is for ever in my mind
Was just in the the middle of taking a level 85 yuti on scorched earth, when he was at 96 percent and ran out of food. So I went to go Kill a paracer with my wyvern to get prime because I was right by red ob. As soon as I land to go kill the paracer, my game had an error and closed the application. Up this if you get kicked off ark all the time for no reason
Fallen world
Chapter one
An old and bulky triceratops walked through the rock-spire forest, the wind blowing against his face, carrying dust with it and limiting his vision. He staggered towards a cliff edge and looked down at the wasteland. A huge, barren expanse littered with tall rock spires and a long river cutting between them. The trike’s name was longhorn, and he was a scavenger. Scavengers were dinosaurs that lived in the rock-spire forest, struggling to find food to survive. Scavengers gathered materials from the rock-spire trees and sold them. It was a dangerous business, as the forest was littered with drops and other obstacles, every month at least four dinosaurs would die working. The rock spire forest was a huge area on the Acarb continent, known for its dangerous heat in certain areas. Longhorn carried on walking, dragging a chunk of meat behind him, eventually, he found who he was looking for...
~§~
An orange yutyrannus knelt down in front of a rock spire, chiselling away chunks of it using a small tool between his teeth.
“I’ve got some food for you” Longhorn said as he walked up to the Yuty.
“Thanks” he replied, picking up the meat and gulping it down. “This job drives me mental, I have to use my teeth instead of my arms. My arms are too short”
“Hey, at least you’re not in my situation, I’ve got no arms!” Longhorn joked.
“Yeah I guess” then, they were interrupted by a voice.
“Longhorn! Ember Claw, I need to talk to you!”
One time in lost island, i had a maewing named "hopson" who has 5000hp and 2000stm and i wanted to place a cabin next to my freinds " The reaper tribes" wyvern trap. so i put some fur on, and took hopson to the trap. well, he lived but UNFORTUNATELY, when we got to the snow biome, a yuty and his pack of carnos startet attacking me after i got stuck in the yutys head and they started attacking and attacking and attacking. luckily, the yuty got hopson had enough and, like jesus, he floated through the carnos and the yuty and hopped away safely. we got out alive, and hopson was at 1000 hp. 1 like = 1 sorry

Chapter 1
Darkness
Light
Control the sight
Tails twine and break.
She could hear the sound of water trickling. Her breathing was quiet and slow as she strained to open her eyes to slits, feeling confused and unsteady.
Blue eyes blinked open as she lifted her head slowly. She inhaled quietly. A strange, large shape stood in front of her, dull colors of wood and stone glistening in the darkness. Water was spilled across the stone ground and all over her body, running down her face and throat. Something glitched in the corner of her vision. She whirled her head around, but nothing was there.
The sound of a splash from behind made her senses alert, and she turned back around, freezing.
A black, featureless creature with glowing white eyes stood a ways ahead of her. It stared at her, its expression shifting sadly. She watched it in confusion, dark water continuing to drip all around from seemingly nowhere. The night sky glitched black and white and then disappeared.
The black figure stayed silently where it was, its large white eyes unblinking.
“I’m sorry,” It whispered.
“What?” The character asked in dismay. Water trickled onto the top of her head and she ducked it in surprise. The sounds of water grew slowly, stronger and stronger, becoming loud as a waterfall and screeching in her head. The things around began to disform and glitch out of place, black and white and gray flickering as colors were sucked away.
She closed her eyes as the water began to pour over her, the liquid spattering on the ground as it came down hard.
And then the creature was suddenly there in front of her, placing its hand on her snout.
“Wake up.” It hissed loudly.
Peeri gasped, jumping into wakefulness. Her heartbeat slowed to normal as she looked around, back in the dusky light of the rounded cavern she was used to. Soft moss surrounded her, climbing on the stone floor and up the walls. Cold white rays of light filtered through the skyhole above.
The Basilisks' tongue flicked from her mouth tiredly. She pulled her head up and slipped over to the small stream closeby. Water dripped from the stalactite above it, pooling into little puddles that led to the small river of water that disappeared further down the cave. She watched the droplets hit the water, listening to the steady drip. Her eyes went blank as she stared for a long moment, before she shook her muzzle quickly, shaking away the last remnants of the dream. She bent her head to drink, lapping up the water slowly.
“Boo,” Someone said from her side.
She lifted her head, thwipping her tail playfully at Bister. The other Basilisk slithered close to her, his yellow eyes sparkling.
“Good morning to you, too,” she said wryly to him.
Bister smiled and yawned loudly, revealing several sharp white teeth. Peeri caught it and yawned as well, before she turned around and slipped back over to her sleeping spot, nudging away the stray pieces of moss with her snout. Bister blinked and followed close behind her, watching her silently.
“Are you planning on going hunting?” He asked in his scratchy voice.
Peeri nodded, curling her body around herself. “Probably. I think the last time I ate was more than two days ago.”
“I’m coming with you, then,” Bister insisted. His spiked tail tapped against the ground quietly.
“Alright.” Peeri unwound slowly and they went down the cave tunnel together. They stayed soundless for a while, scenting for anything they could catch.
Peeri lived in the twisting caverns under the island of Balheimr. She had met Bister when she was younger, another Basilisk on his own like her. He was impertinent and grumpy at times, but was surprisingly kind to her, and she almost liked his company. They were both seven now.
Bister slithered ahead of her for a moment, lifting his snout and tasting the air. Peeri inhaled tiredly, stopping for a moment as Bister went further ahead.
She moved her gaze to another part of the tunnel. Everything went oddly silent for a moment, her mind growing fuzzy. The shadows seemed to be staring into her as she looked down the dark cavern.
Drip.
Drip.
“I think there’s prey closeby,” Bister was saying from a ways away. “Maybe we’ll find some fish by the bigger part of the stream.”
Peeri didn’t hear him. She lowered her head and went down the tunnel, her scales sliding smoothly across the stone ground as she moved.
She slowed down quickly, her head going upright at the sight of a bright shaft of light coming from around the corner.
“Agh!” Peeri exclaimed in surprise as a tiny insect with pale green wings came into view and fluttered past her face. Her voice echoed down the cave quietly.
She looked back at the bug curiously as it flew into the tunnel she had come from, before hearing another noise. There was a sudden blur of light reddish-orange and her mouth opened to yell out again before it ran and crashed into her, screeching in its own surprise and flapping about with wings much larger than the insect’s were. Large yellow eyes blinked down as it pushed itself away from her.
They stared at each other.
“What are you?” Peeri asked after a moment.
It made a slightly thoughtful, confused face, looking her up and down. “Are you a Basilisk?”
“Yes,” She said.
“Wow. You look cool," it said.
She pulled herself back an inch. The creature was male, and he had slightly curved horns on his head, kind of like hers, only a bit sharper and different-looking. His scales were an orange color that almost had a red hue that got darker along his spine and snout.
“Sorry I ran into you.” He said, his voice young and embarrassed, much less scratchy than Bister’s. “And I’m a Wyvern. What’s your name?”
“Peeri.” She said.
He smiled at her reply, looking at her like she was the brightest beam of light he’d ever seen. “I’m Jether.”
Journey: Chapter 1
Forest sat on a cliff above his family’s cave and stared out over the Fjordur sunrise. He thought to himself that this would never get old. It has been almost a year since he and his friend defeated Jethezzar with the rune. He still was a juvenile, but he was treated more like an adult now.
And he has enjoyed almost every sunrise and sunset ever since. He was truly grateful for most things that happened to him after the Basilisk or Peeri told him he and four others would save Fjordur.
He sighed and looked to his left, not all things from that time were good and some things he was just unsure of. There next to him was the rune. He wasn’t sure how it was possible, Forest remembered how he got it back and began to think about it.
After the rune disappeared. He thought it destroyed itself. However, a couple of weeks later, the pegomastax that had previously tried to steal the rune from him came back with it in hand. He had said something about coming across it and argued with a very unfortunate Ichthy and thought it belonged to him. Forest was amazed and shocked by seeing it, it indeed looked like the rune from before.
To make sure that it was indeed his, he went to the Shadowmane tribe. Where Nyx explained that it was indeed the same one.
“There are a very small number of runes for the size of this place and the realms but the number is still growing, but still there are only around 200 right now though. Each having their own unique markings and color patterns. This has the same markings and patterns as the one before, it would be almost impossible for this to be another to be to resemble this even slightly, let alone identical.” Nyx said while studying the green glowing object.
“But how are you sure this is the one I had a few weeks ago?” Forest asked.
Nyx looked up at him and gave a curious look at him, “I wouldn’t dare forget what it looked like or what patterns it had. This is the one.”
Forest was amazed by all this, he wondered why the rune returned to him and what this could all mean for the five. He thanked Nyx for the help to identify if it was the same and went home with the rune.
But as time passed, his thoughts changed and he kept thinking about ways to get rid of it. He kept remembering the story of the shadowmane that went mad and that the rune killed him and his friends and fear filled him the worst scenarios. What if he was to become like that shadowmane? He had thought and attempted many different ways to get rid of it, but they all ended the same way. The rune returned to him every time. But he had a surefire plan this time that couldn’t fail.
“Forest, come down!! It’s time for dinner!” Forest looked down and saw his sister Ri out of the cave waving and yelling for him to come for dinner.
“Coming Ri!” Forest replied and quickly grabbed the rune and descended the cliff towards home.
Hi, this is PrimalApex. I have been waiting a while to do this story, mainly because the story I had in mind as a sequel in a Alternate Universe (so it’s not canon to it.) to a story called The Obelisk and contains spoilers to The Obelisk. So please read The Obelisk before reading this. I hope you enjoy reading!!
Journey: Prologue
On this quiet evening, an ichthyornis was flying over a small beach at the southern tip of Vennaland in Fjordur. Circling over, he saw something glowing on the beach shore that wasn’t natural. He swooped down and looked to find an active rune.
“Boy, is this my lucky night, First catching a salmon the size of an Ichthyosaur, then stealing a nice amount of kibble off a Pego, Now this!!!”. The Ichthyornis strutted over to the humming object and circled it.
”It is not a moment too soon, the honest thieves' market is at midnight and this will fetch a me something quite nice.” the bird smug and arrogant said to himself. He grabbed the rune and was about to fly away.
“Better not mess with that thing if I were you, mate.” The voice said. The bird turned and saw it was a familiar face, a pegomastax that he had stolen the kibble from.
The Ichthy dropped the rune and started to look in awe, “Awe come on, you chased me all day long without even knowing where I went, all for your stupid treats and you to comment on choice of items to take.” The bird's enjoyment left and turned into irritation rather quickly after seeing the pego.
The pego showing his irritation himself squalled out “No!… Well yeah, but no on the comment of choice of items. I am trying to warn you about the thing you’re about to fly away with.”
The bird looked at the rune and back at the pego. “Yeah, it’s a rune. Big deal, but not life-threatening. It not like-”
“Wrong,” the pego quickly said cutting in. “The rune is active and if it has a bond, it can be very dangerous. They are strongly possessive and are dangerous against those that don’t help the rune or the rune’s owner find each other.”.
The bird just laughed and hollered after hearing the pego say that. “That’s a hot one. A pego trying to tell an ichthy that a rune can be ‘dangerous’ if it has bonded with another animal beforehand.”
The bird said and in irritation strutted to the pego “Your mejoberry must’ve slid off your meat if you think I am gonna fall for that.” The bird remarked, “I mean come on, the only reason you want me to leave it alone is so you can take it back with the rest of your PRECIOUSES. And, I am not falling for it.”.
Before the pego could say anything, the bird quickly got in the air and went for the rune. He quickly grabbed it in his mouth and took off towards the mountains. The pego didn’t even get time to process what happened. He started to walk away when he heard an unearthly sound and an explosion after. He heard two thuds behind him, so he turned around to see smoke rising at the far edge of the beach.
As he got closer, he saw the rune and an object smoking that was a lot larger. It was the ichthy, but now roasted and smelled like cooked dodo. The feathers were almost as if it was plucked before being cooked. The pego looked over at the rune. It was glowing as if nothing had happened.
“I told you not to mess with that mate.” the pego said to the roasted meat. He grabbed it and saw something familiar about this particular rune.
“Awe come on, how am I the guy to find the exact rune I tried to steal from that young drake? Now how am I gonna find the little fella? It’s not like he’s a famous creature on Fjordur or anything. It's going to hard trying to find the little kid, especially a Drake, they are such shy creatures.” The pego said complaining to himself.
The Pego grabbed the rune and took off in the direction he came from to head for his hole to rest before setting on a journey that he thought could take months. However, it wouldn’t take as long as he had thought.
This story however is not going to follow this pegomastax and his journey, but it will follow the person he is looking for and his friends. As the story of The Five has not ended yet…
Tune in Wednesday for chapter one!!!!
They should add them to ark mobile because if they do along with the wyvern it will make mobile players want to play ark mobile more and if they do add yutys and wyverns to ark mobile it will give players some thing to work towards to tam and there shouldn’t be a tame limit at all. Upbote if you think they should.
Creatures of Nightmares
Chapter 25
Reign lifted Astra with her four paws and flapped her wings. They went out into the sky and disappeared behind large clouds.
“How long will we have to wait?” Pax huffed.
“Probably not long,” Prince replied.
Ridley was silent. For the whole time he was in this group, he stayed mainly to himself. A loner. Before he ever was Shadow, he was open. And joyful. A sweet, handsome wolf who was loyal. But.. now he doesn’t think there’s anything for him. His family.. is gone. Adira.. is evil. His brother.. Ridley doesn’t know his location. His world was destroyed.. ripped apart.. by the person he trusted most. So how could he ever trust anyone else?
###
Astra felt odd with no ground beneath her paws. She was getting dizzy up so high in the air, and there was not as much oxygen.
“Are we there yet?” She managed to say.
“Closer,” Reign said, as something whirled toward them.
“Ack!” Reign flew and dodged, but her grip on Astra weakened.
“What was that??!” Astra yelped nervously.
“Not sure..” Reign said. “And here it comes again!!”
Reign rolled, flapping her wings frantically in the sky.
Astra finally got a look at the attacker. And it was beautiful. A glimmering crystal wyvern. It was a light purple that shone in the sun, and its wings were like a rainbow, changing pastel colors. A tropical wyvern.
Astra knew the legends. She wasn’t sure why, but she did. In a faraway place, the wyverns dwell. In solitude. A whole different place.
“It’s a wyvern!” She yelped.
Reign screeched suddenly as the wyvern flew by, shooting water out of its mouth. The water was so fast it felt like daggers stabbing Reign’s wings.
Astra fell out of Reign’s grasp. Reign groaned and they both starting falling, the wyvern headed straight for them.
###
Pax, Prince, and Ridley were getting impatient.
“Where are they?” Prince thought out loud.
Ridley curled his tail around his body as he sat and looked away as usual.
Pax saw something flash in the sky.
“What is that?”
Ridley gave an annoyed huff.
Pax gave a side eye to him. “Do you know what’s happening?”
Ridley turned. “Don’t you know? All of the islands are near each other. It’s probably something from Fjordur or Ragnarok.”
Prince looked up to see multiple winged creatures flying. “Huh..”
And Ridley looked up. “Crystal wyverns.. they never leave their island, Crystal Isles. This can only mean one thing.”
Pax and Prince looked at him.
Ridley spoke in a soft voice. “Say hello to the new humans of The Island.”
Have I ever mentioned this story is on The Island? I don’t think so. Anyways, I can’t really do anything about the Ark lore, because I haven’t finished the island or played any other story maps, and I haven’t watched the videos (busy week, and I forgot.) so that’s why all of the Ark maps are on one planet.. and it would help with a crystal wyvern being there.
-DiploLover24
Ps. The wyvern is attacking Astra and Reign because it isn’t wild..
Creatures of Nightmares
Chapter.. 23?
Well, this is after Astra and Apollo were hanging out.
The group of five wolves had just been chasing each other when the stopped and sat down in a circle.
“This is tiring, but it’s nice to not feel stressed for a couple days,” Pax said.
Everyone else nodded, out of breath.
“So this is what the five brave wolves are doing? Sitting around playing games?” A voice sneered.
All the wolves turned to see Shadow.
“Why do you always chase us around?” Prince snarled. All the wolves had stood up. Shadow circled around them until he sat across from the wolves. The cliff was on his right.
Prince wanted to step forward but Apollo stopped him. “Astra needs you.” He whispered in Prince’s ear, then stepped forward.
“You want them, you get through me.”
Shadow laughed. “You can’t beat me.” But Apollo could, in a way. Then he ran toward his son, snarling. Astra and the others watched, Prince and Pax ready to make sure she didn’t run in to stop Apollo. Even Reign was ready to stop Astra.
Apollo dodged his father and clawed his left shoulder. Shadow pulled him off angrily, making Apollo’s back bleed.
Shadow used his manipulation to create matter. Flames suddenly danced around the two, but Apollo didn’t care. He knew they were an illusion.
Apollo jumped on his father’s back and sunk his teeth into his neck. Shadow roared in pain and anger, and threw him off his back.
Shadow tore at his son’s chest, and after a few swipes Apollo, in pain, rolled away and jumped back on his father’s back. His blood drenched his father’s black fur as he bit his shoulders.
Shadow threw him off his back again, this time going too far. Apollo skidded across the cliff rock, and his back legs dangled. His claws scrambled, trying to find a hold. And then he stopped, barely holding himself up to look at Astra.
“No!” She yelled and tried to run toward him, but was stopped by the other three wolves. Tears rolled down her cheeks.
Shadow looked at his son, with a slightly scared expression. “Astra..” Apollo whispered. “I.. I.. love.. you..”
With one last breath his claws slipped on the cliff and he fell down, his body landing on hard rock below it with a crack.
Shadow ran to the edge of the cliff. “No.. no, no..” he whispered.
Astra sobbed.
Shadow’s fur changed to a brown lighter than Pax’s. He was younger and smaller. When he was Shadow, Ridley hadn’t aged.
Before Adira had left, she had Apollo. Apollo was the only thing keeping Shadow alive.
So he had to die. Apollo had to die to find the fifth prophecy wolf. Ridley.
“Don’t you understand, Astra?” Prince whispered. “The Night was never Shadow.. it was always Adira.”
Astra became furious and threw herself out of the wolves’ grasp. “You knew?!” She spat angrily. Tears still rolled down her white face.
The three wolves nodded. “When you were off with Apollo, the Power of the Beyond informed us. He couldn’t tell you. You would’ve done anything to stop it.”
Astra fell to the ground and sobbed. Ridley still sat at the cliff edge, looking at Apollo’s bleeding body.
And then his body was floating up to the cliff and went past Ridley and the other wolves. Astra sat up and watched.
A glimmering purple paw touched Apollo’s back. “Ah.. the powers of manipulation.. what a nice touch.”
It was Adira. With her magic, she thrust Apollo’s dead body to the side. “Isn’t it funny how someone’s death can make two lovers young again?” She chuckled.
“Shut up,” Ridley said, still looking down at the cliff. “You were the reason I became Shadow.” He turned. “I became a monster because of YOU! I ruined so many people’s live and you just watched!”
Adira laughed to herself. “Oh, Ridley. I made you a better version of you. Come on, look at my magic. I’ve got my fire, manipulation now, and I’ve even gotten those Ice powers and the other power to control.. what was it? Oh yes. Vines.”
“I presume you killed wolves to get them?”
“Oh, Shadow.. sometimes we have to make a sacrifice.”
“Don’t call me that!” He roared.
Adira ran straight for him when Pax slowed time and made the five wolves disappear, along with Apollo’s body.
Adira snarled in anger.
###
The five wolves were transported under the ice bridge Astra had been to so long ago. And then her gaze went to Apollo. “I figured we should bury him,” Pax said quietly. Ridley and the other wolves nodded and began digging.
A few hours later, they lowered Apollo’s dead body into a hole, and covered him with dirt and snow.
Astra’s swirls on her back and sides glowed, creating an ice tombstone that said:
Here lies Apollo, the hero
who made a great sacrifice.
May he rest in peace with
the Power of the Beyond.
All the wolves lowered their heads. “Should we say something?” Prince asked, his voice cracking.
Astra nodded and began to speak.
“Apollo.. this all started when you suddenly contacted me just to tell me some information. But you became my friend.” She paused and laughed sadly. “I got excited to meet you, even, -DiploLover24

Triceratops Journey Ep1 Trade
Up at the high peaks was a very dangerous spot, carno’s roamed, dire wolves howled in the moon light. Also a triceratops named Dake roamed
Dake: The kills warm, this was recent.
Dake hears a roar in the distance.
Yutyrannus: Grr.
Dake charges into the Yutyrannus
The yutyrannus spins Dake around by grabbing Dake’s crest. But Dake uses his greatest weapon against him. Dake puts one of his horns in the Yutyrannus’s neck and throws him away.

Dake: *le gasp*
Tales of Pandora
Origins of Salizar, Chapter 1 ~beginnings~
This Tale contains spoilers for both Heroes of Pandora and slight spoilers for Protectors of Pandora and Book 3, I suggest reading the first two books.
This tale begins with a young mesopithicus, destined for villainy. But he didn’t know that yet, he hadn’t yet been injected with the intelligence serum, back then he was just an average ape. Until that fateful day, when everything changed.
“Are you sure the serum will work?” Dr. Haze asked. “Of course Ben, I’ve done all the proper research. It’s ready for ape testing.” Dr. Flight said. “Alright.. who’s first?” Dr. Haze replied. “Oo oo aa!” Salizar said. “Looks like Salizar wants some.” Dr. Flight said. “Alright bring him here. I still can’t believe you named him that, everyone else is named after planet of the apes!” Dr. Haze said. “Oh Benjamin. I don’t even know what that is remember? And I like the name Salizar.” Dr. Flight said. They strapped Salizar to the table, sedated him, and injected the serum into his temple. For a moment he seemed fine, but then he started ceasing, they quickly injected something else into him to stabilize him. “Is he ok?” Dr. Haze asked. “I think so.. his vitals are alright.” Dr. Flight said. “Ok, put him back in his kennel for now. And keep an eye on him.” Dr. Haze said.
Salizar woke up, his head hurt like it got trampled in a stampede. He stood up and looked around, he saw the world completely different now, he even thought he understood the humans talking a bit. After that began his training, him and the others all got the serum and the scientists started to try and teach them, they used the spare room of the facility and turned it into a sort of school, here Salizar learned to read and understand human languages, even if he couldn’t speak it. “A, C, G, F.. Uhm T!” Another student said. Salizar shook his head, “no no, it’s A, B, C, D, E, F, G.” He explained. “Thanks Salizar.” The meso said. “No problem Rocket, your getting better.” Salizar said. “Alright, that’s enough for today. Get back to your kennels everyone.” Dr. Flight said. “But.. I don’t want to!” A mesopithicus said. All the Dr heard was hooting, “Caesar! Do as your told.” She said sternly. Caesar begrudgingly left the room, “you shouldn’t challenge them Caesar, they know what’s best.” Salizar said. “I hate following orders.” Caesar said.
The next few months were quite uneventful, the apes learned more and more, There was even one meso that spoke a bit of English, her name was Maurice, “Grape!” She said. “Did you just?!” Dr. Haze said stunned. All the other students cheered for her, and she got what she wanted, grapes. That night, Dr. Flight sent word to fort Olympia, she requested king Drake himself come and see for himself what the serum could do. But the morning he came, Maurice was found dead. “You’ve brought me here to see a dead chimp?” Drake said. “Sir, she was alive yesterday! And she spoke!” Dr. Haze said. “Doubtful. Find the cause of death and prove the serum is safe.” Drake said dismissively, he left the facility immediately. “What are we going to do! If the serum doesn’t work what will he do to us!” Dr. Flight said. “This was just a fluke, I’m sure it’s nothing. I’ll run the autopsy immediately.” Dr. Haze said. The mesopithicus were all grieving for days after that. They couldn’t be made to do any school and they barely ate. Salizar overheard the scientists talking a few days later, he couldn’t hear much but what he did get is that the serum didn’t react well with Maurice’s brain, it caused a tumor. Dr. Haze seemed to not know what happened. But Salizar was terrified the same would happen to him.
Throughout the next few months two more mesos perished, the same cause. It was just Salizar Caesar and Noa. “This has gone on long enough, half of the subjects have already died, the serum doesn’t work!” Drake said angrily. “Please! King Drake we know it will work! We’ve created another serum that should prevent this from ever happening, we will save your daughter.” Dr. Flight pleaded. “Fine. Don’t make me regret giving you a second chance.” Drake said. “Thank you sir!” Dr. Haze said. “One more thing, due to your collective incompetence, I am transferring another scientist to help you. He’s one of my best.” Drake said. “Who?” Both Scientists asked. “Me.” A voice said, he walked into the light, “The name is Doctor Primalis, greetings new lab assistants.”
