Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a tusoteuthis? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a tusoteuthis.
Make a trap in the ocean which allows you to take a turtle close enough for it to grab, then feed it 50 black pearls and swim to a safe distance, make sure ur turtle is on passive and following you. It can be fed every 13 minutes. I have found that on official u need to stay in loading distance of the tusto at all times or it will glitch out of your trap
Take who takes, let it grab the one you're not riding, feed it while it is distracted.
Once you have a high level mosasaur use it to tank the squid then jump off and feed it the black perals swim stright up and wistle the mosasaur back to you easy way to tame them GL out there
Two turtles with 17k hp, on 2x each turtle can be used for 2 feeds. Solo tame is hard, best to bring a friend. Breeding the got triplets on first egg....hate life.....there gifts of the ocean
Tamed 3 solo so far on official Center map. Hardest part about taming is keeping track of the plesios and the mosas that are usually found in the same vicinity. I use 4 basilos and bring about 5 high health (10k) high speed turtles. You really only need about 2-3 but i bring the extra just in case they get attacked by other creatures.Keep your animals on passive following 1 basilo and put 5 pearls in last hotbar spot. Hop on a turtle, have 1 passive basilo follow you and once the coast is clear, decend down to the squid until it grabs you and the turtle. Hop off the turtle and swim up the the beak then spam E. Hop on your basilo while squid still has your turtle and head back to the surface where your other animals are. Reload 50 more pearls and after first feeding wait about 14 minutes and repeat. After the second feeding, i found you only need to wait about 7-8 minutes between feedings.Dont forget, on PVE your new tuso cannot grab wild dinos so the vampire drain and knockout useless.
When ha thing these make sure to turn all the turrets off we forgot one and our 210 squid died, a sad day indeed
So I didn't complete the tame because it wasn't a high enough level. I built a trap that has windows on the side and after I trapped it, I was able to look it right in the mouth, through the window, ready to feed black pearls. It did slap me once through the window, but wasn't able to grab me. Going to try again when I trap a higher level and hopefully this will be effective without the need for losing any tames to it's grip.
Get a mosa with fairly high health and a basilo. Use the mosa as bait for the tuso to grab hop off of your basilo and feed the black pearls. Get on your basilo and wait. Keep doing this until tamed. Remember to keep your Mosa's health up
Instead of using a turtle I use my mosa with 20k health. Just get a mosa and give it only health you'll be fine
The Center had a water in the red wood leading to doom. On the first waterfall you will see squids spawn there. That's were I live and I lost so much stuff when I first met it. The water is salo how it spawns there idk. That at least three spawn here
You see the thing it too late you're all ready dead or will be shortly
Basilosaurus are unaffected by their grab. Just go in with a high lvl basilo and its an easy kill to gather black pearls.
To tame use a plesio or mosa or turtle with about 15k hp and some armor and have your tribe mate stay on till youve fed it. Then swim up and have your mate dismount and also swim up. Keep the bait on follow and the tuso will most likely let go. Wait for about 7 to 10 minutes. Force feed your bait and go back in. Very easy with 2 people. WEAR flippers!
the time per feeding is 12 min
Using my quetzalcoatlus to give it wild creatures. And my ichthy to feed it. I got myself a kraken
If your playing ascended the archelon is one of the best tames because they can tank ALOT of damage but don’t ride them down to the squid because they are pretty slow
If youre on singleplayer, you can tame high level ones in the caverns of lost faith by making them follow you out of the cave, then taming them cuz in singleplayer theres way less enemies in caves.
also applies to everything else that spawns there that would be tamable usually.
These spawn at the bottom of the ocean, but don't have a depth limit so you can lure them to red ob or the sea in the west side of the map so you can grie- i mean trap it there so it is easier and safer to tame.
Found them lay on the beach in Crystal Isles. SO SO easily to tame I follow Nooblets on youtube and it came out working in unofficial server.
I don’t see why everyone is using turtles. I just got my baryonyx, 50 pearls and a scuba tank, it worked just fine for me 🤷
This is how to tame a tuso
(1) Breed/tame high lvl turtles and level them in oxygen and health or high lvl megalodons and level them in health
(2) Have a high lvl basilo or 2 beacause tusos cant grab them
(3) Locate a tuso with a dolphin for mobile or any aquatic tame for pc console and nintendo with the turtles/megalodons, make sure you have black pearls or cooked prime meat on hand (tusos have high aground range)
(4) Get one of the turtles/megalodons and lead it to the tuso with the basilo the tuso will grab it and it does alot of damage, while the tuso is grabbing the bait feed it the black pearls or cooked prime meat then lead the bait away if it survives
(5) Repeat the process until the tuso is tame
(Things to know before taming) (1) If you are using cooked prime meat use 10x soothing balm(for mobile)
(2) Make sure to have stimulants in case you get knocked out
(3) Leave the baits your not using on the beach/shallow water
