For the record, Trikes are not stopped by primitive bolas. You were wrong... So very wrong... Maybe chain bolas might work but the hand helds are ineffective at stopping a charging Triceratops...

Very useful tame especially for the smaller tribes. If your a little bit built up tame high levels to get high levels and raising herdavores will be easy to raise.

A easy way to tame a trike is to get a bow and 5 or so tranq arrows get on top of a rock a just shoot from there.

The best way to knock out a trike is to get it stuck on a ledge bellow you and just hit it with stone or if u have tranq arrows then those that's my way of taming one best way to do it if your a low level get it stuck somewhere

The triceratops is one of the easiest dino to tame in a early game. It's neutral so if you attack, it will fight back. But it is slow so you can run and shoot. Use a slingshot, don't waste arrows on it. Its saddle is at level 20

Trike are very useful, they are 1 of the best animals for a noob to have . They get you berries and thw best way to tame one if you are a noob is to stand on a rock with a slingshot

It’s actually a lot more simple to tame these guys then I thought. I just used tranq arrows and some narcoberries on hand. I then ran up close enough the Trike and hit him with a tranq arrow the ran away until he stopped chasing me, then I ran back and shot him again, I repeated this process until he started running from me, then I could keep hitting him til he went down without having to run away. I put the narcoberries in and just waited. Viola, now you have a trike. (Note it took me about 12 arrows)

Thanks for these tips guys I got an trike and also use boomeranges if your in an map that has an desert biome or you can get sand if not just use tranq arrows and have good movement speed and a few narcoberries and like 2-3 stacks of mejoberries or even 4 stacks

Don't use trap. There is no way to get it out. Use tamed dinos to get in its way, don't worry it won't a track them. Then climb on a rock and tranq away.

impossible to tame without getting them stuck tbh. later game a crossbow and arrows work great but early game u need them stuck otherwise you will run out. their torpor drain is overtuned for an early mount

These guys are POWERFUL. A FREAKING SPINO RAN AWAY FROM A TRIKEEEEEE. Also climb up on rock and use slingshot for low levels and tranq arrows for high levels also dont shoot the head it gets less damage there.
