I tamed one by placing small bear traps down, and shooting the thyla with a long neck equipped with a tranq dart it will come to you but will get stuck in the trap. Then shoot it in da face with tranqs.

If you are playing a PVE server build a pillar pen and set bear traps in it then shoot at it from a distance with tranq darts and bait it into the pen

This is easy to tame with a wood trap and a bow with tranqs and now I have one red panda.

Now the trap so I bilt a 3 by3 with on the end of the trap there’s a to high will with wood door frame and two high ever were else now put the ramp on the side he’s coming from so you can just run throw

For the trap i would recommend using a 3 x 3 foundation area and doorways around it and have the side facing towards the thylacoleo with no doorways, place either a big or normal bear trap and lure it in and then shut it off and boom your done :)

They spawn quite commonly NOT in tree on genesisso you can use the Tek armour and fly above it while filling it with tranqs

You can snatch them off trees with Argy’s. They will always be facing the ground so just make sure to come from above (ie. behind) them. If you are below them, they will pounce and dismount you.

I was expecting the Thyla to jump over it, so I built a trap I use for my Medium-Large dinos. 3x3 with 3 walls high, but since it doesn’t jump, feel free to use a 2x2 (This is my first thyla). It’s * L I T E R A L L Y * a free tame. Just pop it up into the trap with ramps, a wyvern, argy, ect, and its jump that simple.

If you’re looking to tame this easily, try the southwest savanna because they spawn there quite commonly and they have no trees to jump off of and kill you.

1. Use Hunter Instinct from Snow Owl

2. Build a 2x2Box with 2 Walls (Windows) High and a Ramp to the side of your Thyla

3. Shoot it with 1 Arrow

4. Clean the Area and pull the Thyla to your Ramp (let it bite you 1-2 times to keep aggro)

5. Once jn Box it is a free tame

6. Cooked Meat Version is way better than any Raw Variant. Kibble is the best.

They can be picked up with quetzal so grabbing them and taking them to a pen is simple. Make sure you walls are a good 4 or higher, this cat is probably twice the size (if not more) of the sabertooth.

Use Titanoboa Kibble, even if it is level 1, just do it

Have a wyvern and land near a thyla. Shoot the thyla and let it agro, it will just circle your wyvern leaving you safe to shoot at it below.

Taming a Thyla can be relatively difficult if your not prepared. Personally, I never tame my thyla’s in the redwoods on Ragnarok.

I highly suggest grabbing your bird (one you don’t necessarily care about) and head to the desert islands towards the bottom of the map. These islands are covered in thylas if your in the right spot (the island next to Jerboa Island is most populated).

Once you head there, find a nice level thyla. Perch yourself up on a rock and shoot the living hell out of that thing with darts. Once it’s down, shove some narcotics in it. These things run out of torpor relatively fast, so the next step needs to happen fast.

Ovis spawn on the islands next to the one your own, and are great for making thyla tames go fast. Go kill a couple, and bring it back to your thyla quickly.

The best way to tame this is lock it up in a square with a roof and just tame it in a place where u can remove it

A good way to tame them is walk along the redwood forest floor till you spot one but dont go too close obviously, you can see them as big lumps on the trees, then place down your bear traps and shoot it so it comes after you, then just shoot it till it kos, if you are worried it wont be enough either place doorframes or more bear traps, good luck hopefully this helped!

Use a snow owls thermal vision in redwoods then once you find build trap then shoot him and kite him it boom easy tame
