I’ll say one thing. They’re f**king tree camper and will pin you off your mount like there’s no tomorrow. They’ve jumped me off my rg so many times I lost count. Be careful with these. These creatures are not ones to play with when taming.

An owl makes finding these much easier. Turn on thermal vision and you'll find them everywhere in the red woods. Make sure you have alot of biotoxin or narcotic as they don't like sleeping for long

These things make getting dinopithicus impossible. They just jump on top of u when u are killing the troop and then u have to go get ur stuff and/or bird after the incident. By the time you get there and ur stuff and bird back the dinopithicus has evaporated.

I can not find one not even one of them

It’s not so hard if you know what to do. Using a pteradon or an argentavis may seem like a bad idea, but just look at every tree as you pass through the redwoods, and to avoid getting dismounted fly high above the forest. For taming, fly slowly on a dino and look at every tree. Then, shoot a tranq at it from a distance. They’ll fall right off and attack something, and it only takes a few to couple tranqs to knock it out, but be careful because they’re fast and strong. ( submitted by: Banzooi )

If you plan to enter the red woods be sure to carry a good melee. Most likely they'll see you before you see them. Once they catch you it's up to you to kill it quicker than it kills you

Man *uck these guys they made me lose so much shit

Never underestimate how far these things can jump! I flew with my argy around the Redwood during a metal run and I spotted one of these a good distance away on a tree. Figured I'd give it a wide berth and go around it via the swamp. I'm smack in the middle of the swamp as high as the Redwood treeline and the next thing I know this thing jumps me off my argy and pinned me to the swamp floor and murders me and my argy who was on aggro. In my death throws I saw that it was at level 95. Like an OP homing missile they are when they leveled up. Now I use the coastline as my flight path to metal runs on the peaks.

These are in the redwoods and they can climb trees and pounce you off you mount

If you want to find one. Fly through Redwoods. If you want to avoid them. Fly above treetops.

Bring a simple rifle or a double barrel shotgun. Since these two weapons do the most damage and make sure to have healing bars to gain health.

if you want to avoid them, take your flying tame and fly OVER the redwoods. above the treetops. you can do that or go around, or take a snow owl and keep the owl vision on to spot them and go around. you can also go on a griffin, but NEVER DIVE in the redwoods, because they can pounce you off your griffin. you can shoot off the back of a griffin if you want to tame them.

The best PvP strategy is to tame one of these then ask your enemy to go to redwood forest. Then follow your enemy when he is at the forest. Then he will sit there in confusion like what?. Then jump down form the tree and OHHHHH RKO OUTTA NOWHERE.pounce on him and he’s dead. Rinse and repeat with other PvP enemies.

This things are perfect for the caves.They can climb and jump,climb and swim very fast.The taiming is a little bit hard

Make a trike taming pen but taller. Stop these guys up with an Argy and throw them in there. Tranq them out and be prepared to keep them asleep with narcotic. I like to find these on the NE side of the mountain area on Scorched Earth so they can’t jump out of a tree and knock you off your tame.

Usually you can see them really well because they jutt out from trees really far. But if they are on the other side of the tree they can still se you and can jump through the tree. Let people know
