What are tips for thylacoleo? Tips and strategies for thylacoleo in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
You can find them easily with a snow owl hunt mode or an argentavis with a para
These guys don't agro on Wyverns
I suggest you first get a high level pteranodon first. It will help you with getting the thyla off the tree. Next build your trap. You will have to barrelrool around the tree your HIGH LEVEL thyla is on. When it’s on the ground, lead it into the trap and then tranq it until it’s unconscious. Feed it cooked lamb or kibble. If you don’t have either, use cooked prime meat. When it tames, make its saddle and enjoy your thyla! Another way is with the fly cheat. But I do not suggest it.
You can tame easily using a tapejara. Find a thyla that's still on its tree. Use the tapsjara to latch facing the ground on a tree facing the thyla. Then use the ranged taming weapon of your preference.
My pteranodon killed one before...
Just have it pounce on a friends house has armour on and tranq it while it's busy with them. Ez tranq, now just feed cooked prime meat and ur good to go. FYI, u need to hold the jump button to cling on mesh, you can't just press it. That might be why they aren't in ark mobile.
Cool pvp battle stance:
Setting: redwoods, large portion of enemy tribe coming through in a few seconds
Creature 1: deinonychus (ridden by human, clinging high up to redwood tree, preferably at least 10
Creature 2: thylacoleo (ridden by human, clinging high up to tree, ready for pounce, preferable at least 3)
Creature 3: griffin (ridden by human, flying high in the sky, human on back with RPG, at least two)
Procedure: when the enemy comes close, use the thylacoleos to pounce smaller creatures or humans, and use the deinonychuses to kill the larger ones. The griffins go into dive and, when close to ground, passenger fires rocket. Griffin does slam, then rises back into sky and repeats. You have the enemy down in a matter of minutes with few casualties, and you have struck a major blow against an enemy tribe.
Up if you want more!
It's a marcupial... Tame with cooked mutton not raw!
Wearing a ghillie suit in the redwoods prevents you from being targeted and dismounted by these, unless you go right up to one.
If you want to battle one of these things, you will need a very strong weapon with some tranquilizer arrows and if you have those you can shoot them at the at those wannabe saber tooth and then they will be ded
Flying around with a Parasaur on its turret detection mode really helps you spot where they are on trees
USE A TRAP! these things are brutal and i cought one and named it waffel and he beat a alpha rex also make sure to level it up before fighting bosses or alphas.
You can pick them up with an argentavis when even while its clinging to a tree, just make shure to approach from above, ✌️
A bit of a pain to tame but I love them.
So overpowered
Hands down the best mount in the game. They take practically no fall damage (might be because mine is high level but I fell off the top of a mountain and he lost maybe 10 hp,) they’re super fast, they can climb vertical surfaces, leap at prey from trees, etc. And as a bonus they’re super cute!
PC tip: DO NOT use your Argy to knock them off trees from above. I repeat DO NOT do this. THEY CAN JUMP UPWARDS :,(
If you have the Extinction-DLC you should tame yourself a Snow Owl. They have nightvision and you can easily see every single one of those Thylacoleos. Fly safe get yourself a Snow Owl.
Bring a longneck to tame them. At least have 14 points into your speed.you will want a turtle to take damage
