Tips & Strategies

What are tips for thylacoleo? Tips and strategies for thylacoleo in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
They are not as scary as they seem. They will always stand out on the low-middle part of the tree without leaves. Just be careful if you're moving through any packed tree clusters because it could be waiting just out of view on the other side, circle the area at a distance if you want to be absolutely sure. I've played since 2017 and only ever been dismounted once. If anything, their aggro range when you're on foot is pretty far
These things hide in trees and when you tame them bolas don’t work but small bear traps do. They also prefer cooked prime meat, cooked regular meat, and cooked lamb chops more than raw. When they are in trees they hide just below the leaf line so you can spot them from the ground
Haven't tried this yet But it might work set your flyer to Passive flea so when a Thylacoleo tries to attack you You're flyer will run away and not die to Any of the creatures Below Hope this helped😅
If you can get higher than the trees than the thylacoleo, thyla, won't be able to jump and hit you.
Hello! So just so yall know, this thing will pounce on you when you do get too close, I suggest riding on a Stegosaurus and bringing some Therizinos with you in order to be safe, with their TLC they have a bleed attack and will kill you. I have escaped by keeping my dudes on attack my target and monkeys on passive flee just in case, when pounced whistle attack my target if on passive and hit the Thylacoleo. Hope this tip help you all a bat! Bye and happy hunting! Be safe! And byeee -Asura
Anybody know what the roar is for? Also is the bleeding damage auto with the main attack? I'm on Xbox so the only buttons that seem to do anything are the right trigger (attack) and right stick (roar) been googling for a bit and I'm not getting much outside of that so any comments are appreciated. Sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking but I figured it'd help others that are looking too...
WATCH. THE. TREES. I cannot stress this enough. They hide near the top of redwood trees, and when they get a chance, they will pounce. They can take you right off the back of any mount, whether you are on a flying Dino or a grounded one. They wrap themselves around you and there is no escape. Just watch the trees and don’t let your guard down.
And this is the reason why I don’t bring my highest level pts or argys while making a trip through the redwoods 🥲
just use a large bear trap and shoot it down with narco. Watch out i needed for a lvl 7, 25 narcotics so its wrong here with 0.
Just make a 2x2 stone foundation and 2 stone wall high windows with a ramp on one side then tranq it
Carry a good sword on your hot bar
Don't know if this tip has already been added, but when they jump off of trees, they can't get back on the trees until you leave render distance. So if you see one on the ground, try to tame that one!
These are incredibly easy to see. They just sit in trees in weird yoga poses. Dont let it fool you it can jump well over 20 meters and kill your neuteral quetz. A level four can take care of you no problem.
A couple friends and I were starting up on a pve server recently and a majestically bearded man fell from the heavens and delivered a lvl 350 to us for no reason. Needless to say I am now the apex predator of the valley. This jungle cat at a high level will kill damn near any alpha no problem. It also will climb shear mountain cliffs no problem. Definitely look to tame a high level now that it does bleed damage.
I was flying on my Griffin and one jumped out and I panicked and flew up and the thyla started to fly after me for a good three seconds. I lost 500000 brain cells on the spot.
Super deadly mounts I have two of them. They’re pretty easy to tame compared to how many times you die to them. You just have to build a trap and you can leave gaps between each wall of the trap because they can’t fit through it, which makes it easier for you to shoot them down with train Trank arrows also it only takes 4 to 5 arrows and if you feed them cooked prime meat, you only need five the best way to do. It is to lower them in the trap and they’ll try to break it but they’ll stick their heads through an accident because they can get that through and then they don’t actually damage the trap and you can reuse it over and over. Make sure to have a bell moth Dino gate or a normal one either one works because they’re not that big but once you tame them, they will be the best one in the game. They can kill an Alpha raptor, no problem. Also, if you want to escape them in amount just fly above the trees and if you’re in the trees, minimum height would be 2/3 of the way up because they can’t climb the rest of the way but when you tame them, they can.
