Tips & Strategies

What are tips for thylacoleo? Tips and strategies for thylacoleo in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Was flying over the redwoods with my argie flew down and got massacred by one of these guys. I turned off my console without saving. The next time I booted up the game I was like 1000 metres above the redwoods my argie the same height but way too far from me, so I fell to my death. Took me like an hour to get my argie back.
For taming I just build a taming pen along the redwoods, then fly on my argy till I find one, stay kinda far away and shoot it off the tree, grab it and fly to the taming pen at a 45 degree angle and go up and down once in a while, and drop it in the pen and knock it out with tranqs and done!🫶🫶
They have to drop 200 food before eating. But they don't require much to eat before tamed.
They are not in the mobile game at this moment
If you're having trouble taming one of these beasts, go with a Rhyognatha; they can't dismount and you can shoot them from the Rhyognatha.
Few ways to tame, if you have a harpoon and net you get within range, net them when they’re coming down or they’ll hang on the tree, the rest is easy, Tranq, narc & feed. If you dont have the harpoon, you can use pillars and bear traps, set up pillars in box formation with three in front and two on the sides with the trap in the middle, shoot the Thyla, make sure you’re standing on the other side of the traps, once its in the trap, pillar in behind it, tranq & tame.
It dose eat cooked prime it just dosent say it dose yet
I want to tame one but it seems that I can’t find any I fly three the redwood 5 time and still haven’t been jumped I think they done exist
My personal favorite mount for all terrestrial travel, hunting, and combat—especially if it’s a bred thyla with full imprinting.
However, the thylacoleo has a wide turn radius and can’t make sharp turns very quickly. You can travel pretty safely on a strong thyla, but if you need to turn and run quickly, look in the direction of where you want to go and JUMP. Boom, no time wasted turning :)
Thylo's and R- Thylo's are in Fjordur. Both prowling around in the redwoods. I love these things. Anytime I want hide, which is often cause saddles need a ton, I hop on a Thylo and wreck all the carnivores in the area. I'm on the plains and this thing takes out packs of feathery raptors and rexes with ease. If I get in a tricky spot I just climb up the nearest cliff face or jump and run away. They are amazing and I recommend everyone have a few of them.
In Fjordor there is a cave where they spawns where they can reach over level 500
They are not as scary as they seem. They will always stand out on the low-middle part of the tree without leaves. Just be careful if you're moving through any packed tree clusters because it could be waiting just out of view on the other side, circle the area at a distance if you want to be absolutely sure. I've played since 2017 and only ever been dismounted once. If anything, their aggro range when you're on foot is pretty far
All I’m saying is don’t fly any type of bird near it it’ll knock you off and kill you
Monkey plus lion equals this. When I encounter this animal, they are usually on the side of trees on the redwood area like monkeys. They look and sound like tigers... I guess they're both monkey and tiger.
Simply just get a harpoon gun and a net. I flew above the trees until I found a decent level on the ground and I just netted it. Simple and you can build a trap while it is netted
You can fight this bad boi even when he grabs you. Just make sure you have a decent sword and good armor, and you should be fine. I got grabbed off my argi and I just started swinging. It died, and I didn’t. Proceeded to find one, haul it back to my base and tame it
I found one of this creature in Redwood while searching for Honey , he jump on me .
This creature is the one of the top 3 best land travel mounts(not including flyers) and has great stamina excellent health and good damage
Levels 1-20 good against dilos and traveling
20-50 can kill raptors and better at traveling
50-100 can kill carnos and bears with ease
100+ can take on alpha raptors and rexes
