As an Xbox player it took me 50 cooked meat and 30 narc to tame . I hate that everyone on here says it takes thousands . I WAS ON ARKPOC . - Holland

Be careful when flying through the redwood, however if your flying mount has enough stamina, thylas don’t seem to be near the tops of the trees. Just be cautious when you take a stamina break.

Build a trap, 2x2 stone will work, but I recommend 2x3 to make it easier to drop them in via birb.

Shoot them through windows, now have fun baby sitting its torpor and waiting for it to starve.

If you’re skilled enough, and have a decent amount of health or skill… you can lure a thylacoleo into a gate trap. Place down 3 dino gates with 2 doors and only enough room for you to get through, then locate the tree kittens and draw their attention, get it in the gate and close the gate, then you can more easily knock it out without risk of it escaping before you do.

Works best where they spawn on the ground like in the snowy mountains on The Island.

This might not be efficient or easy but it’s fun XD

I read that you can not get knocked off a quetz by these jerks but it is wrong!!!! I have been knocked off a pteradon, 2 argents, and 1 quetz! Be Warned!

If you use rhyinoganthana as your mount the thylas will have a glitch or something but they will still jump but not at you they will just jump down they still attack your rhyinoganthana they just don’t jump on it they will jump down insted when a rhyinoganthana comes near them so you can be safe using a rhyinoganthana

I tame them by riding a rex (on passive) through the redwoods with an argy following.

The thylas chase the argy. I shoot thyla. Follow on Rex if Thyla runs.

If you manage to tame one of these they are an awesome ground mount. They can climb sheer cliffs in a heart beat and have a 3 story vertical leap. They are fast, and durable. Mine is lvl 82 at the moment. I killed a lvl 14 alpha carno and only lost a third of my health. I feel safe on this guy and he can take me anywhere. Just look out for them in the redwoods. They are very tough to tame without a trap. One you have one they will become one of your favorites. They are great in the water too. Dump levels in health and damage.

These can be a solid upgrade from a deino if you're willing to trade speed for more health and climbing ability

The easiest way to tame them is make a 2x2 box with 2x ramps, 12x wooden doorways, 4x wooden foundations and lure it in using a tranq I recommend using Tranq darts but a crossbow would work too. I dont know if this is on all devices but on ark mobile food drains instantly to 0.

Prefer cooked meat,don’t use raw meat,better cook it

i tamed one in the desert on Crystal Isles. i didn’t know it could climb up any vertical surface. i thought it could only climb the Redwood Trees. tame one of you like climbing stuff

This thing took forever to tame make sure you are ready to take your time with this one

Very cool that they can climb almost anything in ark, can run away and escape sudden death.

I was running along with my 3000+health raptor when a dam big kitty jumps out and tears my raptor to shreads I nearly got out alive.

These guys are so hard to find in my sever because I want one and i got the ascendent saddle Rip Cole 💔

I saw one and used my tank argy as bait and then went in from behind with my pulmonoscourpius, knocked it out fast.
