For anyone who is searching for them like me, i found many of them near the green Obelisk. Hope i can help someone

Most often found around the green obelisk or along the river that borders the south end of the redwood biome. Try to bola it before it gets spooked as most the time it will never land again.

I think they are more afraid of you than you are of them guys

If you don’t like you tame’s colers, all you got to do is dye potent dust any color and give it to your tame, there you go! A pink Tapejara

On my way to the redwoods with my argent I saw like 3 of these things but now that I want to tame one it’s like there all gone.

Must have tame for anyone who wants have a Spider-Man 🐦. This is not the easiest tame but once you have it you can basically land anywhere and i mean ANYWHERE!! if it runs out of stamina in the redwoods you can land on a tree and it will regain Stam but a bit slowly and if you are not in the redwoods you can land on the side of cliffs!!!!. Plus you can fly up down, left and right and it has a multi seat saddle. Let others now

One good place to find tapejaras on the island, is near the green obelisk, footpaw region and near lake at red obelisk. I always find them here on mobile.

(The island) They spawn between the redwood and the massive mountain at very high altitudes. I found 3 at the same time there.

So i found a high level tapejara it landed and i was ready to bola it and tranq it but then i got worried cuz a therizino was nearby and i killed the therizinosaurus with my argentavis but the… THE TAPEJARA GOT STARTLED AND WONT LAND i dont tame creatures in the redwoods cuz of the creatures so FRICK YOU DUMB POOPY FREDDY KRUEGER COPY!!!!!! >:(

In The island map you will always find it near red obilisk

They like to stay high in the sky like a quetz

Extremely shy. Handle with care.

You can switch to the passanger seat (front one) and direct it to go on water, it will start flying and you can now direct it to the sky and it wont even use stamina and you can shoot! Up so other can see :)

Use rare flower to lure it into a trap.

If u spook it and it starts flying up, u better shoot it and get another to spawn in faster because they WILL NOT land ever again ( they probably will land sometime but when I first started out I punched one of these to try and kill it and to this day I still see it in the sky)
