Dorito headed pteranodon that is shy because he keeps a bag of Doritos for himself and is shy around social media because humans like social media.

Found in redwood and near the green obelisk. They can also be found flappin about in da sky very high up and are very hard to get down.

In crystal isles they are usually attacked by tropeonathus

‘I spent what felt like years trying to find a tapejara and gave up but then I find a level 85 one while flying home and then it gets stuck in rocks, it took 3 in game days to tame it but now it my fav Dino!

If your trying to tame a tapejera you should make a set of ghille suit so it wont get spooked and try to bola if it is on the ground, but i still need find out how i knock em out in the air

They also spawn in rhe red woods near green ob near red ob and the the waterfall at west zone three

Fly above soawn areas with rare flowers if your having a hard time finding them

When encountering a tapejara don’t go to close

A pteranodon,over it a quetzal then iver that there’s this running away from me very high in the sky

How do you manage to sneak up on one of these? The moment they are spooked, they take off at a ridiculously awesome speed?

If you find a high level try and get a friend to protect it while it’s unconscious rather than spikes as big theropods can kill it over the spikes

I really need to find one of these any have any idea where to find one??

Tapejaras are very rare dinosaurs and if you get to close to them they will flea. But you can bola them and they are one of “if the most” fast pterosaurs in Ark Survival Evolved The Island. I’m actually looking for one myself. Good Luck :)

When you go to knock one of these Doritos out, make sure to bola it first. Once you bola it, use trank arrows and shoot it. Once it is unconscious, put in what ever food it takes (meat or berries) then add narcotic berries in its inventory and keep adding a lot because I don’t know how fast the torpor goes down. Keep adding and collecting meat/berries for your Dorito.

I have never used a trap so I just carefully walked up to it and then I threw the bola and it was stuck so I hit it with tranq darts and it was knocked out

Me on a random hunt: *Runs past one of these and doesn’t even look at it more than a few seconds*

The Tapejara: *Literally gets scared just because a human is near even though it could see that I wasn’t gonna do anything and flies off*

Me: *facepalms* Goddamn scaredy-cats...

Well after *years of searching and watching one die when i knocked it out due to the vicious man eating comopys* finally got one back to base its a lvl 6 but does the job. What i used is a lvl 64 bear with 260 something speed and 800 stamina. Master longneck rifle and chased it,soothing balm is handy.

Glad this one didn't die had 2 Raptors get near low level less then 10 and a alpha raptor in the distance i would have died
