DODODEX HAS AN ERROR! It is affected by bola and also lasso! Please bump to fix this mistake!

Both of these are AMAZING for taming your new tap. Bola stops him from getting away and since you only need like three tranqs, you're gold. Then grab your Equus and saddle and drag him back to safety, instead of treating him like a mini quetzal and walking off the perimeter :)

now that blue flowers cause creatures to attack you, eat one and let it fly to you!

Eat some rare flowers so it attacks you, lead it into trap, knock it out, tame, enjoy!

Use rare flowers to agro the tapy. Instead of running like a poosy it'll try and attack you and in turn will follow you to where ever you desire.

(other flyers like argies and pteradons also become agro aswell, so be cautious

They can now be lured using Rare Flowers! Just eat a flower near one and kite it into a taming pin.

Use rare flowers to aggro then fly/run back to base, bola and tame!

Now with the rare flower change, you can make it aggro you and take it back to your base, then keep it aggressive to you and knock it out easily with a bow or crossbow or longneck. Make sit super easy to take now.

While it's landed sprint at it with your bola fully charged then boom you'll get it 100%

I've taken down three so far while on my Quetzal... bring plenty of arrows or darts, and patience... a good Qtz can keep up with a wild Tape, as soon as you get close pepper it with arrows or darts... make sure you're not over water when you hit it. Will take several arrows so like I said patience. After following for a bit they tend to circle in place, that's your chance.

If you have a pachyrhino use the "C" function to aggro the tapajara and coach it back to your base. If you have a mate and a quetzal it is easier again, have your mate carry the patchyrhino close enough for you to use the aggro function a coach it back to base.

If you're on the island map, I find tons in drayos cove. Careful not to get killed by a therizinosaur or raptor. Surround a KOd tapejara with spike walls, and trap yourself inside with it.

If you like flying around for drips bring scuba flippers and you can hover so close to the water you can hop off and get underwater drops and easily get back on

If you use a quetz solo, let it run and fly away out of render distance. Once out of render It will stop running and you can get under to hit with a longneck. Rinse and repeat. You can also steer the tapejara anywhere you want when it is running. Making it easy to take down at your base of a safe location.

Have your buddy carry you on a quetzal while your on a megalosaurus grab it with the megalosaurus and have your buddy tranq it

For an easy island map tame, chase it to the volcano & lure it up the side, it gets stuck a lot & you can eventually chase it into the volcano where it gets trapped, easy & safe tame!

Run up bola already swingin and have good aim only one chance lucky if it goes into a wall but either goes up or down the wall wen it runs in to dont chase them they run for ever

I've found the easiest way to tame is to use a quetz with a thatch cage for the tapejara, theres many YouTube videos. Just remember don't trap and tranq over water it will never end well

Sneak up on it in a ghillie suit bola it then drop it. Don't chase they'll fly far and high to get away from you
