It is usually found in forest cornering swamp. Bola it, KO it and don't forget to clean the area of dilo, compy or raptors so that they don't attack you or the dino to ruin the taming %. Its saddle has 2 extra passenger seats and the passengers can shoot while flying. Also, single rider can switch seats to passenger and it will stay still in air and shoot but at a cerain height only if done near grounds it starts to descend and land. Also, while up in air and switching seats to passenger it regen stamina. It can cling and hang like a bat to vertical surfaces approx>15 feet height (big rocks, redwood tree, structures or mountain sides), very helpful to cling and shoot/tranq down at creatures to tame.

I have seen so many of these and I really wanted to tame one, but of course once I got to a high enough level, they all disappeared.

Another way to tame these guys that works pretty well for me is to build an Argi trap. Be sure to build it somewhere there isn’t a lot of other dinosaurs wandering about. Get on a decent lvl flyer yourself. Wait until the tapejara is flying. Equip a good amount of rare flowers to your tool bar. Eat one and fly by him. he will begin to chase you. Keep an eye on your timer and continue to eat them and kite him until you and him are in the trap. Close the doors and let the flower ware off. He will not attack you anymore once the flower is through. At that point you can leave the trap but be sure he doesn’t escape. Shut the doors behind you and there you go. Proceed to tranq him and feed him as normal. Sounds difficult but it has worked several times over for me where trying to bola him with Gilly tends to be frustrating. Good luck!

I saw one of these guys and I thought they wouldn’t be shy I was wrong so so wrong this guy started flying away like it was being chased by a Rex

These guys are actually very rare but if some how u do manage to tame it and what I mean by that is that they get spooked very easily and if they do get spooked they will literally reach sonic speed and will go to heaven but if u wear some ghille armor u might have a chance oh and Bolas are sometimes hard to hit but this tame has also a saddle that can hold 3 people very good if u have friends and can carry very well but this tame is only good early game and not late game. that's all

It’s so hard to tranq/bola these fast dudes do a pro tip is eat a rare Mushroom close to him and it will make him aggressive then you can bola him while he’s attacking you

If you attach yourself to a wall/tree you can shoot while riding it

this is my favorite tame mainly for the fact that it can carry 2 more people 1.at least 5 bolas 2.throw the bola from a distance when it lands 3. pelt it with tranqs on the head

Kill a Tapejara: Take implant: Resurrect using amber

The easiest way to tame a Tapejara is just stealing it’s egg if it’s a female then it come to attack u while u tranq it(if u can’t find the egg then I don’t know)

Make a trap, eat a rare flower and run into the trap. Shoot it with tranq darts because they don't have much health

When you come up to a Tapejara be very slow and Quiet. When you close enough bola it quick before they fly away and they can fly pretty fast. After you can use a cross bow or a bow to knock it out. If it has low health I would not recommend to hit it in the head several times or it will die. Maybe one or two to the head but take like seven seconds before every shot. Usually depending on its level for example around level ten takes about 15-20 meat. Also bring at least 5 necrotics( depending one level) once again 1-10 level should take no more than around 8. Out some spikes around your Tapejara so no Dino’s kill it. The process it not that long once again depending on the level. Every lower level does not take as much. Then you have your very guild able Tapejara. They move left right forward and back and also can hand on to cliffs and trees. So these guys are just my favorite like they are very useful. Due to the fact that they can attack on land unlike the pteranodon. So very useful in fact. Though they can be pretty rare they are worth it to tame in single and multiplayer. And it can even hand on rocks, redwood trees and more. But what I would realy like for it to have is the diving ability since the only Dino that can dive on ark mobile would be the griffin. I hope ther realy add this. Hope these tips helped!

They are more commenly found in the south side of the island map but do be carful you will fined lots of rapters there and trust me I know

You need to have bola for taming Tapejara. It is too hard without bola becouse wen You hit it once with trank arrow it will fly away too fast and you won't hit it again.

I had tamed my first one and after taking him around I brought him home and set him on the ground so I could grab something from by base and then I got it’s death message, I went out and killed the raptor who killed it but I was really sad.

Now I see Tapejera’s all the time but I can’t even get close enough to tame them, I even managed to knock one out but the raptors were to fast.

Is this my karma for being careless? I JUST WANT PRETTY BIRB
