This is my best flying Dino other than the griffin. You should really get this Dino. To tame sneak up behind using gilly suit and bola it then tranj it if available use chain bola it will hold longer

If they are hiding, and you don't want it getting away, kill all creatures around it, then eat a rare flower. It will come right to you, and when it does, bola it. Hope this helps!

ARRRRRRRGH I just had THE WORST taming experience! Pro tip: DON'T try taming a high level one by dangling from an argy by a grappling hook... You'll end up dying TWICE and losing your argy, guns, and 80 narcotics... >:( :(

Hey Do you think its fair that I spent 3 Hours taming one of these Then got kicked from the tribe and didn’t even get to keep the Tape? Acctual Tip: Bola then tranq it. Super easy

Step 1: Wear Ghillie Armor and go Tapejara hunting.

Step 2: Carefully sneak behind Tapejara, being slow and quiet so as not to scare it as they are very shy towards humans, especially when it comes to their own personal space.

Step 3: Throw bola. If you scare the Tapejara by accident throw bola IMMEDIATELY.

Step 4: Knock it out and then feed it meat until it loves you.

Step 5: You have your Tapejara now!

Extremely difficult to tame. Best options are to bola it, and then use a longneck rifle with tranq darts. Otherwise trying to get it to fly into the side of a cliff and get stuff is the other option for a solo tame.

Do not leave it uprotected it has extremely low health after you knock it out.

Since the new update, rare flowers make dinos aggro on to you, you can use this on a tapejara and it will follow you to a trap you've built. Just remember that each flower gives only 10 seconds of that debuff so if the bird is far away from your trap, you have to use it frequently while coming back. Also, if you need it to follow you after you've gotten off your dino, you need to eat another rare flower so that it can agro on to you once again.

Ghillie suit and you should be able to slowly walk right up to it. Hit with a bola and tranq arrow or tranq dart it to the face. Easy down if you use ghillie suit and a bola.

So annoying to tame, CARRY BOLAS.
Honestly just always have bolas in general
