They are like mini gigas. They have high health and damage plus a few good movement abilities. Definitely tame one if you haven't already. Great for Rockwell gen 2 boss fight

You could ride on its passenger seat if you were stunned by a microraptor not sure if this also applies to baryonyx

No need for all the ghille armour. Use a 2x2x1 stone box, hover over it with your tek suit and let the shadowmane dash attack you and fall in the box. Derender to lose agro and boom. You can walk and run freely around it just dont jump above the edge of the box while near it. Hope this helps, dont lose braincells trying to chase it. Be smart about it.

how do i take on a pack of this? there is no answers even in the fighting it tip section

It would make sense if they spawned with a male and female together, each buff eachother males allow increased damage buff and females can all tames or allies in an area to be invisible. So if you tame one make sure it's alone if you don't have the ability to kill one without harming the other.

Tbh the easiest way to tame this thing is no need tek jetpack no need ghillie you only need plenty of bed around it.

Just make 3x3 foundation and 5 wall height doesnt works with s+ tested and verified because ive spent 19 hrs for this thing use the vanilla wall and foundation (NO DOORS OK) FULLY WALL

Make a ramp and bait them into your trap and let them kill you in there if the thing keep aggro at wall you need to replace it with extra wall it will go away to other wall or stop aggro.

After the cat stop aggro onto wall or you you can fit the fish thru the wall just go near the wall and you might see its tail or feet you still can feed it.

They should add shadowmanes to abberation since it’s only in 2 maps…

If you’re in Fjordur and you need fungal wood for the fish basket, you can get some from the blue orb thingys in the blue/purple forest. I found mine near water.

Easily best dino for boss battles, there small and fun to breed because of the cool colours and to be honest taming them isn't too difficult to tame only requiring a fish basket with a decently large fish eg: 1.1x. They also get hydrated buff and can do a charged move doing a lot more damage. And are 2 seater and even have natural armour so no need for a saddle.

Due to the Tropical Fish DNA, the shadowmane lacks an oxygen stat. And since it gets the hydrated buff in water this thing is one if the fastest thing in the game when swimming, however beware that shadowmanes slowly sink to the bottom when they remain stationary

I havent played ark in a long time but i remember that 1.5x fish basket is the best type of food㋛they passive and teleport to you but the higher you go the less attention will be made.

If you charge up the attack bar you can hold down the attack button for a crushing attack also the swim speed on this kitty is crazy fast (i say about as fast as a mana) an you can cloak in the water but it seems it has to walk on the ground floor to do so

These things eat through meat faster than gigas while raising. Not sure if it's like the Bloodstalker and fish meat lasts longer for them. Keep an eye on your troughs otherwise.

These creatures can be very hard to tame, first thing you need to do is get a LOT of filled fish baskets, then go to the “Rockwell’s garden” area at 8:00am find one that is sleeping feed it the fish and repeat until tamed

In my experience to tame 1 I trap it in a cage of 20 stone dinosaur gates with doors in each cause if the dumb cat goes to water the taming resets so to trap it I lure it to the trap while flying with the tek jetpack

When he is in I fly high or go away of his render (300 m) so he don’t agro
