My thoughts on this. I think that this will be a mid game Dino that will have a knockout tame method. As I have seen the females have invisibility at times so it might be harder than males that have a pack boost similar to the direwolf. When they are tamed, i think they will keep their attributes along with a saddle to ride it. For females, I think that you will be invisible while on it and both genders may have the speed above a raptor. This is into my opinion so it’s not 100% true.

So if U are going to tame a female shadowmane your gonna need a noglin because your going to have to mind control

Don't bother trying to tame them, it's easier to trap the shadowmane than it is to catch the good sized fish. If it's not the crocodiles you gotta worry about, it's the birds that swoop in and kill the biggest fish they see.. It's been 5 hours and I officially give up 😂

You can find some on a desert beach in crystal isles

Since they're so expensive to tame, bring sanguine elixir, and ideally tame on gen2, as there's the biggest spawn area there by far, and you can double the taming progress per fish by doing Survive The ARK first.

Don’t bother taming iv tried since the release and I have found that the shadow mane will reset taming after 2-3 fish if not instantly after feeding and had this bug where it goes to sleep but it says cannot feed- has Aggro then it wakes up and resets taming bar again PLEASE HELP

For the guy or girl saying the male with the presence of a female can wake up tames with cryo sickness… you got my hopes high this in fact does not work.
