Due to their high health and decent damage, if you're like me and need bio toxins for arrows/tranq darts to Ko most creatures, these hold well for taming a basilo. You can either A. Kill them off by picking one out and beating it to death OR B. Kite them away REAL far near some megs or another basilo. -Mantyll

Wild, it is highly aggressive and works with other reptiles on the island to kill stuff it can't alone. Tamed, it is very fast in water and should level up in attack and speed if possible.

I’d highly recommend leveling up its stamina, it’s super easy to upgrade and is really helpful since sarcos drain it quickly when speeding in the water or running on land. Doing the death roll with a sarco will also drain stamina pretty quick.

Need a bridge under water mount.Tame this.Level up movement and melee and you can tame a mosa or basil.

It's common knowledge these overgrown lizards are more than fast in any body of water. They are great for survivability where situations turn un-winable(eg. gliding across shallow puddles as you escape, with you & dino still alive) & have great damage output particularly on land.

I want to highlight the swipe-up lunge attack on mobile which, with enough stamina & some directing practice, will increase the effective chomped area, can 2x or more your hit damage output, get you the 1st(& 2nd) hit. You need to skillfully slam against the target in order for the next lunge to do it's damage(2, 3 or 4 times) before shooting past & having to turn around/readjust.

Combat IN the water is much less effective. Your speed makes it hard to score hits & water combat will drain your sarco's food very quickly. You have to adopt a hit & run tactic which will work fine as long as your sarco is prepared with plenty of meat & you keep in mind DROWNING while focused on a drawn out fight in the depths (due to sarco's speed).

Sarco's great instead for gathering information underwater or traveling large distances. Unlike travel with a pteranodon, sarco has a bigger weight capacity, so it can be handy for moving what you need to quickly, carrying pick-ups along the way & bodyguarding while you are busy. Lure big creatures that you want to kill into the water. Works on even alpha ones. Once they're in the water, just go behind them near their hind legs and start chomping.

Boom, easy meat and trophy farm. Works on mammoth and such creatures also, so you can farm pelt and all.

good for harvesting oil deposits fast in the ocean early on in the game

I play mobile(phone) and I learnt it has 3 different attacks. 1) Basic bite, 2) Lunge(swipe up) and Death roll (swipe down). I was able to grab: raptors, moschops, dodos, litros, monkeys, fish and piranhas with the death roll attack. My sarco was is lvl 36 and her damage is 97+ .These guys are underrate!

Basically an Iguanadon but in the water. Without sprinting it's still faster than anything including an Icthy. Icthy's are quick but only at full speed. This thing has a high cruising speed and if you do decide to sprint, then the stamina refills almost instantly.

In my opinion it is the fastest mount to get around on the island. It's not that slow on land either at dull speed. Also Piranhas will not attack you while riding it.

An absolute must on the island.

Sarcos are the best water mounts when you factor in accessibility (how easy it is to get) fast as an ichy in water and extremely strong , to tame, walk backwards while hitting with the club

Ps: doesn't fit through the first bottle neck turn in the lower south cave

They can lunge forward or death roll. But it does remove a lot of stamina so put some levels into that.

Piranhas won't go near Sarcos, so crossing infested waters with own of these will keep you safe

Do not kill something in the water near a tamed sarco on aggression target, it will glitch the sarco to spin around in circles and will eventually pick you up and possibly crash your game. It’s cool though.

Use the sarco for killing leeches. Leeches don't latch on to sarcos and does alot of damage if melee is leveled.

Extremely fast in the water with practically no stamina consumption (it just needs to take a break for a second or two to recover stamina). Take care to not accidentally run into jellies. Lost quite a few sacro this way.

I use sarcos for the underwater island caves. 6k health, 1200 stam, then blast movement speed. Quickly and carefully go through the caves without needing to fight anything.

So basically when your riding a sarco rexes are really chill at you so you can go near them (just don't attack them)

I think they should add another crocodile type creature to the game which is more like a tank, because the strongest crocodile is the Sarcosuchus and its base health is 400.

(I know theres the Deinosuchus but you need additions for that, I want something that is in vanilla).

One of the best underwater tames EVER, easy to find, easy to tame, and it can kill a lot of crap too. They are ungodly fast underwater and don’t float to the top once underwater. And dps and speed arn’t even it’s best attributes, that would be ether be it versatility on both land and water or is defense. Absolute amazing tame, would recommend throughout both early and late game.

The Sarco has been one of my most useful tames- especially for early/mid-game. I have tamed countless Rexs, Allos and Carnos simply from firing tranqs atop one of these in a river. Of course, you need to find these carnivores by water for it to be effective, but when you do, you have yourself an easy tame provided you have enough tranqs.
