ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Utility Tips

What is a sarco used for? sarco battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
A swift and tough mount, even on land. Even faster in the water.
Attack speed is slow, and the attack range is a small, wide cone, so enemies that are next to its neck tend to not get hit, but keep the enemy a bit further forward and the sarco will be capable of killing it quickly.
Will get stuck on trees easily, can't fit through standard dinosaur gates, and will take wide turns when following.
DEAR MOBILE PLAYER
Here's my personal experience
Sarco is strong creature with decent agility
Normal attack - Sarco will bite, deal damage twice to enemy. You can immediately turn your Sarco around by look back and do this attack
Swipe Up Attack - Sarco will lauch it self forward at short distance and deal damage to enemy in front of it. This attack more damage than normal attack (per damage, keep in mind that normal attack deal damage twice). You can't do this attack in the water.
Swipe Down Attack - Sarco will grap (only) small creature and do dead-roll that deal even more damage than Swipe Up Attack.
Plus :
1. Easy to tame, because you can outrun it (on land)
2. Fast movement in water
3. Immune form aggro if you tame it in Caves (You can find it in Clever Cave)
Negs :
1. Terrible hit box, you need really good precision to hit something with this guy
2. Starving like crazy when swimming
3. Hard to deal with large amount of enemy
Four reasons they are useful
1: Fast in water
2: Can do barrel roll
3: Can breed than kill for skin for one of the bosses
4: Good attack
Two ways they aren’t useful
1: slow on land
2: Attacks are SOOO SSLLOOOWW…
Hope this helps pros and nerbs (funny way of saying noob) alike

Sarcos are one of the best mounts for starting the oceanic side of the game, if not the best.
Not only are they just solid all-around at combat and travel, but they really excel as an underwater taming mount. Theyre fast enough to kite or chase anything, powerful enough to clear nearby threats, and you can shoot from the back. Add it all up, and any knockout tame is a breeze on a sarco.
In combat, they punch well above their weight against the ocean's behemoths thanks to their ability to out-"dogfight" almost any opponent. It takes a bit of getting used to controlling their speed, but once you do you can win many fights while barely taking damage. Your only real fears are jellies, tusos, and getting stuck in a swarm, so just stay on the move and be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine.
sarcos are a good mid tame, especially if you’re living in redwoods. although I’d recommend getting yourself a spino for stronger foes ( on land ). but for exploring those seas of terror, they’re a good option. untill ark: ultimate mobile decides to add the deinosuchus or any creature tlc’s and mods, sarcos is a must pick for underwater roaming. why? try it and watch as megalodons and those rays making “screee” sounds everytime your sarco goes CHOMP.
DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT ram into large objects such as houses or oversized rocks at full speed, I’ve lost sarcos because of me accidentally glitching them into houses and rocks while just trying to park, now this doesn’t happen all the time it’s just.. happened and I don’t want it to happen to you guys and your sarcos
When i was level 35, i tamed a sarco, which was surprisingly pretty easy, i just used my crossbow with tranq arrows. A few levels later I got a saddle for my sarco, on land, it is pretty slow, but can also deal a lot of dmg, in water its very strong and extremely fast and can be used for easiely killing megalodons, which gives you a lot of fish meat and fish prime meat, also its at normal speed in the water way faster than a megalodon, I killed a leedsychtis too. The only thing you have to keep distance is the jellyfish and the sparkling eel. It's also a really good option for getting in water caves, because it can walk. Also it needs no oxygen. I am level 85 now and it is still my favourite swimmer.
Due to their high health and decent damage, if you're like me and need bio toxins for arrows/tranq darts to Ko most creatures, these hold well for taming a basilo. You can either A. Kill them off by picking one out and beating it to death OR B. Kite them away REAL far near some megs or another basilo. -Mantyll
I tamed one because people said they are fast and easy to tame. When I put a saddle on it I went to the water and went holy crap that’s fast! And every day I rode him back and forth from Herbivore island Until the freakin jelly fish came and he defended me so I could swim back to shore.
For me, is one of the best pets. It can be tamed easily and fast, and then he give u absolutely defense on the coasts of the island, and underwater. 4 more things about him that helps a lot in game:
1. His speed in water is very big, so u can go for all island by rivers without fear to be eated(if u need, u can escape with him)
2. Ability "C" Is good to hunting, and deal not bad damage(bit more of normal attack)
3. He can pass in almost all caves, so it good companion there(I'm not very "pro" In game, but in South caves, sarco give u the easiest way to obtain a lots of exp, chitin and meat, without doing a lot of work)
4. The last one special and very useful thing that sarco have, is his possibility to turn in one jump, when u want. So if u are on the land, and being attacked from back, only focus camera in the enemy and click on attack button.
