Tips & Strategies

Dont feed it raw meat! Feed it raw FISH meat, it tame faster
Once upon a time, my Sarco and I were hunting some Megalodons for fish meat, when a pack of Cnidaria stung the both of us, I tried to swim to the shore but it's too late. Mantas and Megs attacked me and my Sarco. My Sarco tried to fight back, biting his opponents. I swam back to the shore, and... My Sarco never came back. His dead corpse was a feast for Mantas and Megalodons. I hold my fists, my mind thirst for revenge. Rifle in hand, I swam back, shooting every Megalodon and Mantas I see. It was a bloodbath, bodies of Megalodon and Mantas floating in the ocean. I avenged his death… My Sarco…
Rain pours down to the land. He left his beloved wife and son.

Sarcos: all you need to know
Sarcos are strong early-mid game mounts that work as great tanks and defenders. They are best used in beaches and swamps, due too their fast speed in water, but slow speed on land. To tame a Sarco it’s best to used traqs since they have high melee. Get one trapped (which is very easy), build a trap, or simply walk backwards or hover on a flying mount. The dangers of taming a Sarco is, of course, it’s powerful jaws and tendency to leap out of nowhere. You have to watch out for the other creatures as well. Especially the jumpy saber Sarco. Once nocked feed it RAW FISH meat as it take almost 5x less to tame then reg meat. Once you have this guy craft a saddle and ride this terrifying beast! On another note, to kill a Sarco, simply shoot it or bombard it. They are really bad when attacked by multiple strong targets so use that to ur advantage. Hope this was helpful! 100 ^ for more!

If u see one of these go kill it or tame it they are a pain if they are on your island I have had these constantly spawn right where I live but thankfully I set up a nice spike wall along with watch towers be careful around these AND KEEP YOUR DINOS AWAY I learned my lesson already when it took down my first Dino my otter called cuddles.... please click up to pay respects.....
I just knocked one out. I was very afraid of these monsters before but its actually a quite easy tame! I recommend this snappy thing for beginners underwater mounts. Good luck taming it. [Up so the noobs see ;D]
my dodo (lvl 4 at the time, thought he was dead until i whistled my other dinos to follow me) was apparently in the direction of the sarco (lvl 5). he walked right into the sarco and i was convinced he was dead meat. until the sarco’s corpse just flew into the air. man, that dodo was a trooper
Four reasons they are useful
1: Fast in water
2: Can do barrel roll
3: Can breed than kill for skin for one of the bosses
4: Good attack
Two ways they aren’t useful
1: slow on land
2: Attacks are SOOO SSLLOOOWW…
Hope this helps pros and nerbs (funny way of saying noob) alike

I have just started on Abberation and tame as many low level sarcos as I could. I have 10 now and they melt through everything in seconds. Spinos just disappear and they killed an alpha karkinos without any dying. I would absolutely recommend taming a few of these early game.
I was lvl 3 when i tamed him i used bat and i was running around and punching him in stomach. Befire that i killed some dodos and feed him. Make my comment go up so new ark players can see it plz
I play mobile(phone) and I learnt it has 3 different attacks. 1) Basic bite, 2) Lunge(swipe up) and Death roll (swipe down). I was able to grab: raptors, moschops, dodos, litros, monkeys, fish and piranhas with the death roll attack. My sarco was is lvl 36 and her damage is 97+ .These guys are underrate!
early game : 1) Fast underwater mount 2) maybe is good as defender of base against aggressive dilos. But i dont know if its worth the risk
Mid game: Has nothing to offer except eggs. Weak rideable experience with attacks that are more targeted to ONE someone so it cant fight more than 1 at time 2) health is ok, but with more than 1 at time this doesn't matter, you die (or have to run) anyway
DO NOT listen to the person who wrote the following comment: “DO NOT tame in the lower south cave. It will get stuck on the way out and be trapped there forever.”. If it can’t (which will most likely be the case if tamed down there, because (in my experience) Sarcos struggle just entering the cave with how wide they are. But don’t listen to that guy. Just summon it out in the “Request Creature” tab and wait for it to teleport (I have summoned creatures out of the cave when they get stuck and they teleport just fine). Share this with anyone you know who struggles with that.
Surprisingly easy to tame or kill, just:
Run up to it with bat or whatever
And STAY between the back legs and tail while hitting it
(Beware it use almost all of a bats durability)
Then feed fish meat to tame
If you found this helpful please up
Thanks
How to tame a sarco:
1. Craft bow and tranq arrows (if you’re a starter and you use wooden bat, you’ll just end up getting eaten)(Narcotics+stone arrow)
2. Find a sarco (not too high level or you might die) in a swamp or something. (I spawned in the Arctic when I didn’t mean to, so that’s where I got mine)
3. Get on a high rock or get it stuck and shoot it, shoot it, shoot it
4. Watch it’s corpse fall
5. Put meat/kibble in inventory (I suggest raw prime meat)
6. Wait and kill some more things
7. Name him/her sarco I (the first)
8. Don’t make him/her kill dimorphodons (Sarco I almost died)
9. Make a saddle for your sarco (a saddle for your sarco)
10. Swim and play everyday
Up if helpful. Listen to the tips. They may just save your life.
Because of bad turn radius if it has enough health, go to the tail and just keep punching, then you really knock it out easily. It was my first tame 🤣😂🤣😂
