Get a taller trap as they can jump at you now since the rework and will jump over a wall or railing to get you. These are AMAZING water tames. Tame these, breed them till you have crazy mutations and then bring them into the ocean and destroy everything around. Megalodon teeth have never been easier to get. Taming things is easier with these too, as you can use weapons on their back. Can also get around the map very quickly if you follow the shorelines or rivers. Great for swimming to the snow area and getting polymer. Just a great tame 10/10 5 Stars

These guys are stupid as hell in mobile so you can easily just climb on a rock and beat one of those guys once you spawn BUT on pc they are more intelligent so climbing on a rock won't cut it you have to build a trap or get on a cliff where you can't climb on if you were in the position of the sarco.

I dunno if creatures are like the pc or mobile ver in ultimate but ill assume they are like the pc version

These guys are really good early - mid game tames. They are decently fast in water and their stamina replenishes instantly when in the water. Although they are pretty slow on land. All you really need is some tranq arrows and no narcotics since their torpor drains slow. If you want to be extra safe when you tame one bring a flyer like a Pteradon or any flying creature you have at your disposal. But if you don’t want to you can just keep running until you knock it out. I personally tamed a lvl 135 and it only took 7 tranq darts and I didn’t need to feed it any narcotics to tame. Unfortunately it was 4 in the morning at the time and I had to go somewhere in about 2 hours so I was rushing to get as much sleep as I could. After it was done taming I named it and immediately left but my game crashed and I still don’t know if I have the Sarco or not but I assume no. Hope you find this a bit helpful.

ITS SO EASY TO TAME!!! You don’t even need a weapon I tamed a level 20 by getting by its back legs, hitting it with bare hands and when it spins run back to the legs. Then shove fish down its throat and bam, a sarco. Mine is level 93 now and I ride it in the ocean and kill megalodons for fun (I have also tamed a megalodon I aren’t losing the opportunity) now lizzy the sarco is my favourite tame ever

Make a croc pit and put your enemies into it.

Get at there back legs and follow in circle on land if in water pray for mercy

If you find it near your base just tame it you won't regret it. I tamed 1 I first thought it wasn't that fast then I took it in the water then I realized my mistake . Holy crap that's fast

It's better to tame one you find at a beach/river than one in the swamp. The swamp has a lot of dangers that can make taming in there a nightmare (namely titanboa and other sarco, but leeches are not fun either)

You can find them near pretty much any body of water. Sometimes they are hard to see if they are in the water. They will follow you out of the water, since they are much slower on land try to lead them away from the water.

When your taming them and they are unconscious you can jump on them and you will bounce, try the mini game I made were you jump on their back and see how many time you can bounce, my record is 19 bounces.

I just shot it with tranq arrows and shoved meat inside of it 🤨, then it tamed, easy tame.

on my 2nd day of ark (real time) and i saw a female sarco who looked exactly like swamp (my sarco who was killed by jellyfish in my resent world) so i made a little wooden box 4 big woden walls and a door frame i led the sarco aka swamp the 2nd and i KO it out with 2 slingshots and i has about 50 rocks of course i missed a few times it was lvl 18 just like swamp when she was killed now it’s lvl 30 and i’m lvl 27 and i also have a rex (saw blade), carno (toast), deadly trio aka my 3 raptors Ares, hunter, and the leader ivy and a parasaur (para) her boy friend died to a 140 massive chicken with big claws 😭. Dilo,(mini killer), one of those starter bird thingys (shadow bolt) , and my baba sarco i’m rasing up now named snappy and i for got how to spell it but his name means swamp in japanese he is snappy’s dad. Dada cherry and finally chicken (both dodos.) hope u enjoyed 🙂😊

2. Get up in a high rock

3. Tranq it. You can also use a slingshot

4. When it is knocked out give it fish meat or raw prime meat

5. Be sure to have narcoberries or narcotics

6. You’ve got yourself a Sarco!

Feed it fish meat when taming it’s faster than normal meat!

It’s one of the easiest tames fr just lure it out of the swamp and don’t let titanaboas get it and he will live. P.S.

Getting it back to base can be a struggle especially if it is on th beach as it is a wide animal and don’t fit through rocks well

How to tame a sarco:

1. Build a stone trap. A 2 by 2 foundation and doorframes for the walls. Make it two doorframes high. And use ramps so you can walk into the trap to lead the sarco in there.

2. After the sarco is stuck in the trap, shoot it with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

3. After it's knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

These can be picked up by a quetz so pick one bring it to base and drop it in a taming pen

super easy to tame! i have 3 of these now so here's a short guide:

1. make a raft. put any storage container on it with a simple bed. this is just a precaution in case you die in the process (which you shouldnt!)

2. pop some spare food into your storage if you want, as well as some extra meat. your safest option is to take about 2 stacks.

3. get some tranq arrows. alot if you want to be safe. around 10 is a good amount though. there isnt really a way of telling the level without being up close so it's best to take as many as you can. make a new bow (you dont want it to break mid-fight)

4. take your raft and go find a sarco! they spawn mainly at the southern islands and in swamps.

5. park your raft a little bit away from the sarco and plod on over!

6. firstly, dont panic when it starts coming over. panic is what makes you sarco dinner. secondly, lure the sarco onto land - theyre waayyy slower inland than in water. still, keep your distance.

7. just keep shooting it with tranq arrows until it's down. if you run out, run for your life and try again another day.

8. once it's down, starve tame it. you dont want to risk losing any precious meat. they usually take about 8 minutes.

9. protect the sarco at all costs! things might come and try and attack you - especially at night. dont let them get your lizard.

10. enjoy your tamed sarco!!

Sarcos are very slow on land so use a crossbow or better to tranq them so tame on land in and around the swamps or in rivers and ponds. DONT ESCAPE INTO THE WATER THEY HAVE A STRONG BITE AND ARE VERY FAST UNDERWATER!

Alright so these things have trouble moving around with trees but are great in water it is very simple to tame all you need is

*slingshot 35 at most depends on level

*bow with tranq arrows at most 15 or more

And at least 25-35 meat

It is optional whether you get the saddle first or after you tame it

But it is definitely good to have for early water travel

To avoid getting hit simply build up with now way up for the sarco or stand on a big rock or run and shoot it’s your opinion
