The Sarcos
Survivors journal, entry one
Location: Prehistoric Island, My camp
Time: Noon
It is a sunny day. I walk out of my dodo pen with a single egg cluched in my hand. “This will be perfect for dinner,” I tell myself. I am just about to head to my house, a rickety thatch structure under a large stone arch next to where I keep my dodos and other egg laying pets, when I get this horrible feeling in my stomach. A ghastly feeling. A feeling that made me want to scream and run for my life. I look around, my heart pounding. Hissss! “I think It came from behind the rock on the shore.” I tell myself. I look at a moss covered rock sitting next to a strip of water that disconnects my home from the mainland. “A tail!!!” I screamed! It was something large behind that rock, and it was most definitely dangerous! I was not going to let it eat me, or my pets! I quickly ran to my hut dropping the egg. I reach in my storage box and pull out a handful of blue arrows that have been dipped in tranquilizer toxin. “Wait, where are my normal arrows?” I ask my self. “There is no time. These will have to do.” I run back outside, reach behind me, and grab a bow from my shoulder. I ready the arrow, pointing it behind the rock where I first saw the behemoth. Erie silence for a few moments and then, “Rarr!” The monsters roar, but it wasn’t from the front, but from behind me. I wip around to see my worst fears. A sarco headed straight towards me. My eyes bulge. I fire the arrow and it hits the sarco’s snout. The sarco roars in pain and furry! It lunges at me, but I role aside and strike it with another arrow! Mighty sarcos aren’t scared away that easily though. The sarcosuchus are formidable cold blooded predators. They largely resemble a giant crocodile with a long, skinny, spiky, snout. It rushes at me, it’s gaping jaws ready to swallow me whole! “Rarra!” I hear from behind me. It wasn’t a bad roar though, it was the call of my loyal dilophosaurus! He flys to my side like a lighting bolt, and spits green blinding goo into the monsters eyes. It thrashed its head, stunned for just a moment, trying to claw the goop out of his eyes. I hear another roar behind me again! “Seriously,” I am more annoyed then terrified by now. I turn and second sarco is running at me. “Go!” I yell to my dilo, “protect the others!” My dilo looks confused for a second. Then he nods his head and follows his command. I am not sure I might make it out of this one. One sarco is bad enough, but two is almost undefeatable! I am ready to call my other guardian animals to help me, but then I remember, I have traqu arrows! I get a idea. I leap out of the way of the second sarco. It try’s to stop but it ends up running into the first sarco. I giggle a little at the two toppled over beasts but then I pull myself back into the mission. I must get the sarcos the the reef! The first sarco pushes the second sarco off of him. I call to the sarcos, then I run to the beach at the other side of my island. The sarcos are closing in, they might not me as fast as some creatures, but they are fast! I see the ocean beyond a few trees. I will lead them there then traqu them. There are usually giant spiky turtle by there, so when the sarcos wake up, they will be their problem. I stop, noticing the sarcos have stoped following me. I ready the arrow, and spin slowly searching for them. If I know sarcos, they are planing a sneak attack. In the silence I hear another sound. It is less like a monsters wail, and more like a baby dino! Of corse! The sarcos have a nest here! That is why they are attacking in a pair! I run towards the sound. I stumble though the thick bushes of the jungle. I am almost out when I feel something clamp on to my leg. I scream as it drags me down! I kick and fling my free leg until I am free. I hit my attacker that was no doubt one of the sarcos. I stumble away. By now I was tired, hungry, and my leg was throbbing from the bite. I reach the beach that is connected to the strip of water that separates me and the mainland. Just beyond it is a pile of rocks and wood. That must be the nest! I run to it, only having to trek through nees deep water, and peer inside. A baby! A cute sarco baby! I stand in aww for a minute as the little baby topples around the nest. “Roar!” The sarcos finely caught up. I hate to to this but it is the only way. I pick up the baby and hold it out. “Uhh, sarcos, I have your baby! Don’t, uhh come any closer!” I was really scared that the sarcos where just going to attack me. I didn’t know what to do next. The sarco baby burbles at it’s mommy and daddy, who did not dare to come any closer. He looks back at me with the cutest saddest face I have ever seen. I know what to do. I hold the baby tight and walk to the shore. The larger, darker, sarco, who I think is the dad, growled in a way I could clearly understand as saying “don’t try anything”. I reach for a sharp stick on the ground, walk closer to the shore, and plunge it into a fish that was swimming by. The sarco parent gave me a look that was both confused and surprised. I drew the fish stick up to the baby and he chomped on it happily. I grab a piece of raw meat from my back pack that I was saving for a emergency, and toss it to the sarcos. The baby was still munching on his snack. The two sniffed it then ate it up. “There you go,” I told them. “See? I am not a threat.” I dropped the baby, and he ran to his mama and papa happily. The larger sarco crawls towards me. I reach my hand out expect have a sweet, we are friends now moment, but instead the sarco just shoved me to the ground with his snout. “Ya, I deserved that haha.” With one final Huff the sarcosuchus returns to his family and I head home. My dilo and other pets welcome me. I head to my house and collapse on my bed. My pet dimorphadon, flapped onto my back and stared me in the eyes. I smiled at him. “Welp, That was interesting. I wonder what will happen tomorrow” I yawn then go to bed. And that was the end of it.

Imagine; you're wandering around the beach, pegomestax on your shoulder, looking for a place for a base. Suddenly, a sarco leaps out of the water to attack you! Your other pegomestax- yknow, the one that you accidentally tamed while walking around- leaps in for the attack as you run.
Then, a message appears at the top of your screen;
The pegomestax killed the sarco that attacked you.
((Based on real events. I'm still surprised by it))
So I’m new right and I just tame a Dodo for the first time (after dying 4 times from everything) and so I search up “ARK what can I tame and how do I keep them unconscious?” This sucker pooped up as one and so on the 4th day tamed a 74 leveled one on my second world (after I got used to everything on ARK first)
One day I breeded two sarco one named may and other was named Jilly and a baby sarco hatched I named him golu he helped kill lots of spinos and defended my base from rexes but one day when I was going to lost island to tame a rex a pack of jellyfish stunned me and my sarco golu I got knocked out in the water while I was knocked golu threw me onto shore away from the threat while I was knocked out I could hear the screams of pain of golu it almost made me cry later I tamed a rex but still golus sacrifice will be remembered forever 😔
Ah, sarco, one of my favorite tames, it’s fast, deadly, can carry lots of things, and has a solid amount of health.
I’ve had a sarco for a while, it’s name is Empress, and I had so much fun with her, but sadly today something shocking happened...
I was on a raft with a new tamed gallimimus and Empress, when I bumped into a rock, the gallimimus fell to the water and some mantas started attacking the gallimimus, Empress was on neutral so she went to attack the mantas, I knew she would win because she was unstoppable, when in the middle of nowhere, like, 5 mantas and 3 megalodons (all lvl 22 for some reason) appeared and killed Empress.
But luckily, I got a Baryonix and my sadness flew away
I wandered in a swamp with a long way from the exit when I encountered it, but what I came for to the swamp was tame something big since I had killed 2 therizinos and had lots of prime meat so in the end I used like 10 tranqs while frantically escaping another 2 boas, in the end the sarco fainted and along it me after killing the boas, I stressed fearing it would wake up before me and when I did all it took was 1 prime meat :3 surprisingly easy tame! I called em SharpTooth cuz it almost tore me in half.
I tamed two of these bad boys in my first 1-4 days of ark. In real life time. It wasnt easy taming them. They can climb most rocks. If you want to tame one search the rivers. I saw a lot in rivers and specially in the swamp. If you tame one. It is extremely fast in water and can climb rocks easy. But continue to feed it 30 fish meat each five minutes in land and water. It is fast and good at transport. But it needs LOTS and i mean LOTS of food or fish meat. It is amazing at collecting and killing prey and theyre meat. Please click F or click anywhere on your screen. to make sure someone else sees this info. And also since on my mission tame the ichty. One of the two died. My first one. His name was peepee. Click F or click anywhere on your screen. to pay respects. He was a good peepee

I looked up for my jem thingy inserted in my arm. I had just leveled up to level 13 and I had plans. Maybe I should tame a parasaur. Those are supposed to be good. Berry pickers. I needed those. I was walking along the beach and saw a drop, and It was white. That was my level! I ran up to it when I got ambushed by a sarco and raptor. I swung my stone ax (that eventually broke) at them. The raptor died in two hits, but the sarco kept going. After about 20 hits, the sarco went down. I killed a sarco at level 13. Maybe 14 now. 🐊
I got lucky and tamed my first Sarco by somehow luring it out of the swamp into a pen. I named him Leatherhead, and he was great. Basically used him to feed all my dinos and he was my first water mount. I had big plans for him.
Anyway, one day I was out on a routine meat run. And see a couple of low level turtles - Leatherhead is level 187 at this point - and start chomping down. The game glitches, and two seconds later Leatherhead goes from 3000 health to a rotting carcass... 😢. RIP Leatherhead. You were stolen from me too young.
Once in aberration I had lost EVERYTHING from a pack of raptors and ravagers I accidentally brought to my base, so I respawned at fertile river for the spinos and karkinos’s for when I move to the blue zone, and I had just tamed a bulbdog for the 8th time then I immediately got jumped by a sarco and the bulldog KILLED THE SARCO becoming an absolute legend, i’m hoping to tame some later for my army and my little bulbdog now named father of many will be the general and WE WILL CONQUER ALL
This is how I got my first Sarco. Sarcos are one of my favorite creatures in Ark that’s why I wanted one.So I built a trap out of door frames in a spot where I know there was one because it attacked me before.A plus it wasn’t near swamps so it was easy to build without other stuff bothering me.It took a few days to find one and when I did it was near the trap. When I landed and got off my Pterosaur and realized it was trying to bite me but it wasn’t walking towards me.I turns out it was a mosschops on TOP of the Sarco that made it stuck!!! So I pretty much already got the tame sense it can’t even move.So once I nocked it out with my tranq arrows I put loads of raw meat and raw fish meat into it.Once it tamed I realized it was still stuck! So I had to kill the Mosschops to get it off but sense it was on top of my poor overgrown crocodile I almost killed it in the process. But eventually I killed it without killing the sarcosuchus and we went back to the base.
Once upon a time, I decided to breed my two sarcos to start a crocodile army. I had the timers cranked up quite a bit so that I wouldn't spend the rest of my life raising a single crocodile.
It was like watching one of those "just add water" dinosaur sponges in a glass of water. It just... Expanded after it hatched. After about fifteen seconds there was a fully-grown sarco in my house. Now, this had happened far faster than I hoped. And because it grew so fast, it didn't have time to get any of the imprinting stat boosts. I was thinking of cutting my losses and killing the newcomer so I could do it the "right" way next time, and then I looked a little closer.
There were two of them. I had twins.
This was a sign from the universe, surely. I couldn't kill something so rare. It took a few demolished floors and walls, but eventually I got them out.
Welcome to the world, Unstoppable and Unwavering.
