This thing is criminally underrated. It instantly regenerates its stamina underwater, is extremely fast, and can swim through underwater caves without fighting anything.

How to tame a sarco:

1. Build a stone trap. A 2 by 2 foundation and doorframes for the walls. Make it two doorframes high. And use ramps so you can walk into the trap to lead the sarco in there.

2. After the sarco is stuck in the trap, shoot it with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

3. After it's knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

Don’t listen to rifle in hand guy cause you can’t shoot under water with guns

These can be picked up by a quetz so pick one bring it to base and drop it in a taming pen

It’s one of the easiest tames fr just lure it out of the swamp and don’t let titanaboas get it and he will live. P.S.

Getting it back to base can be a struggle especially if it is on th beach as it is a wide animal and don’t fit through rocks well

Tamed one of these bad boys when he wandered into my base area because I rest on the shore. Soon as I tamed him I dumped every point into melee damage and now he has 1300% into it. I've taken out like 10 leedsichthyi with him so far. I definitely recommend these for EVERYONE

super easy to tame! i have 3 of these now so here's a short guide:

1. make a raft. put any storage container on it with a simple bed. this is just a precaution in case you die in the process (which you shouldnt!)

2. pop some spare food into your storage if you want, as well as some extra meat. your safest option is to take about 2 stacks.

3. get some tranq arrows. alot if you want to be safe. around 10 is a good amount though. there isnt really a way of telling the level without being up close so it's best to take as many as you can. make a new bow (you dont want it to break mid-fight)

4. take your raft and go find a sarco! they spawn mainly at the southern islands and in swamps.

5. park your raft a little bit away from the sarco and plod on over!

6. firstly, dont panic when it starts coming over. panic is what makes you sarco dinner. secondly, lure the sarco onto land - theyre waayyy slower inland than in water. still, keep your distance.

7. just keep shooting it with tranq arrows until it's down. if you run out, run for your life and try again another day.

8. once it's down, starve tame it. you dont want to risk losing any precious meat. they usually take about 8 minutes.

9. protect the sarco at all costs! things might come and try and attack you - especially at night. dont let them get your lizard.

10. enjoy your tamed sarco!!

If you live near a swamp, then you’ll be able to use this Dino for incredibly fast travel! It’s also durable enough when tamed to kill or run from any threats. Level up speed and stamina, as well as weight.

WARNING never go through the swamp with a raft early game these guys will catch up to you and saluter you

I think I found a glitch for these wonderful beasts and I didn't see it up here so ima put it up here for yall, when your swimming with your sarco, if it runs out of energy just keep swimming, it will refill the stamina to keep going, test this out for yourself if ya want

Essential for the ocean survival! The Sarco's speed and maneuverability under water makes it awesome for out running and staying out of attack radius of creatures. Not to mention it regains stamina instantly after not moving for just a second. And to top it off you can use crossbows or harpoon guns while mounted. Highly recommend!!!

Sarcos are very slow on land so use a crossbow or better to tranq them so tame on land in and around the swamps or in rivers and ponds. DONT ESCAPE INTO THE WATER THEY HAVE A STRONG BITE AND ARE VERY FAST UNDERWATER!

If your on aberration and you can’t tame spino or crab yet then use this bad boy to farm pearls from trilobites or simply for transportation through rivers, hope this helps.

Try to tame a male and female get them to 60+ Level and start breeding with every baby you get imprint and then start breeding imprinted ones, once you get a mutation imprint that but because that one will be a really good sarco when adult make it strong enough just incase you come upon something horrifically strong that you need to fight, and ur alone with ur mutated imprinted sarco, and in my opinion there the best for water caves there fast, strong though there not a “boss” type of Dino there good for underwater caves and exploring the ocean but if you wanna explore the ocean make them really strong because when I was a noob I had a lvl 55 sarco I took it out in the ocean (it wasn’t imprinted) AND A LVL 10 MEGLADON ALONE KILLED IT 😀. There really fast and agile in water and if you turn ur screen behind them and bite they will do a really fast turn.

Alright so these things have trouble moving around with trees but are great in water it is very simple to tame all you need is

Optional

*slingshot 35 at most depends on level

*bow with tranq arrows at most 15 or more

And at least 25-35 meat

It is optional whether you get the saddle first or after you tame it

But it is definitely good to have for early water travel

To avoid getting hit simply build up with now way up for the sarco or stand on a big rock or run and shoot it’s your opinion

I think Sarcos are amazing mounts. When in water, they are decently fast and don't have an oxygen stat. Also they don't run out of stamina because it doesn't go down at all. They are also pretty good land mounts. Although they are very slow, they are pretty powerful. I wouldn't suggest fighting anything harder than a pleseosaur and on land nothing harder than a Rex. All in all, I think Sarcos are amazing mounts!

A swift and tough mount, even on land. Even faster in the water.

Attack speed is slow, and the attack range is a small, wide cone, so enemies that are next to its neck tend to not get hit, but keep the enemy a bit further forward and the sarco will be capable of killing it quickly.

Will get stuck on trees easily, can't fit through standard dinosaur gates, and will take wide turns when following.

One has been terrorizing my beach forever now! I keep shooting it with tranquilizer arrows but it won’t pass out! I just want this stupid thing to go awayyyyyyyyyy... oh yeah and it’s killing all the animals so I’m going hungry! Send help
