If you want to tame a sarco run up to it don’t aim for the head aim for the belly because the sarco has bad aim that’s how I tamed a sarco with my hands and named it snappy

Who agrees that these things deserve to be buffed? On mobile, sarcos have trouble killing just about anything in their habitat. When they try to kill small animals such as dodos and lystros, their bad AI combined with their weird AOE means that they can’t even hit a dodo and they will get stuck on top of the dodo trying to hit it while the dodo just chills below its massive body. If you thought dodos were sitting ducks, a sarco attacking a dodo is just a big sitting duck on top of a small sitting duck 😂. For passive creatures such as phiomias, parasaurs, and moschops, sarcos have trouble catching up to them on land. For other river herbivores such as Castoroides (beaver) or carbonemys (turtle), sarcos almost always end up getting rekt trying to fight them. Their base hp and melee are both similar to that of the beaver, and while their melee is much higher than the turtle’s, their hp is much lower. Sarcos are probably the least dangerous mid/large predator to fight.

This is a MUST have. This guy isn’t that hard to tame at all and is a really good Dino for early game underwater taming, and gathering resources in rivers with lots of piranhas as they don’t agro to you when you are mounted.

Ok if you don’t have trank arrows yet just get a bat and attack its tail it works for me

U need about 5 trauq arrow to knock one out then I suggest u use a soothing balm to boost or the sarco might wake up before its tamed it takes a super long time to tame without a southing balm.

They force piranha to run to the shores when in rivers and water inlets, giving you an easier time at taming those otters for artifact gathering.

These guys aren’t hard to tame or kill, what ur gonna do is sacrifice a pet to a close by sarco. I recommend a parasaur. Then you are gonna get a buddy to help you, or by yourself. Your gonna pull out a club and knock that thing out. And get some narcotics and raw meat. Enjoy your sarco.

Real easy. I shot him in the face three times with tranquilizer arrows then just fed him fish once unconscious. Fish works way better than raw meat.

How to kill one as a noob.

Omg it’s the easiest predator you can kill. You can either lure it to some wild creatures or tame a small creature (dodo, lystrosaurus, otter etc.) and yes, just one. Order your little friend to attack it. The sarco will turn to it and won’t be able to hit your little friend at all since they will hide under and attack it from there. Just help it by stabbing it on the tail until it dies. If it manages to attack your little friend however, I recommend getting a high-end leveled one to be able to tank its hits. This method I found really useful to farm exp as a noob.

Why do people spend their time and resources building traps for these things? All you need is a crossbow with tranquilizer arrows. Just lead the sarco on land and use a hit and run strategy because the sarcos are slow on land. Just don’t get too close.

If you get on its side right up in front of it's back leg and go in circles with it stabbing it in the stomach you can easily kill these fellas with even just primitive gear with minimal damage.

Tame it above a cliff not in the water because there can be sharks and dangerous fish and mantas tame it at the bottom of the cliff you shoot if with tranq arrows to tame it.

Tame a small pack of high level sarcos, take them into the ocean and watch them rip through everything! They are fast and deadly in water

My level 37 sarco can kill brontos and spinos easy, really fast in water too. Try tranq arrows while backing away from it to tame.

After the TLC update they can fit through dino gates and you can now stand on a tamed one's back.

Dont feed it raw meat! Feed it raw FISH meat, it tame faster

Great early to mid game tame, defends base early game, decent mount mid game, great at collecting meat and good way for early-mid game players to get prime, although not very good for pvp.

I'm not sure if anyone has the same experience as me but I find myself leveling up faster than usual on a sacro. I may be wrong or right so please tell me in the comments if anyone has experienced this.
