If you’re wondering why your Royal Griffin won’t dive while flying, make sure you have nothing equipped in your hand or it will not allow you to dive. I always have my spyglass equipped and took me a while to figure it out. Hope this helps

It takes dedication and hardwork to have a perfect tame, but it's well worth it, they hit like a truck when dive swiping and extremely fast as well, they cant carry a lot but they are the best at covering land.

I wrote a wall of text last time, but this one will be short, I promise.

(Because I am on mobile) I tamed one before taming a quetzal. Best decision ever because now I won’t need a quetz. Yes, it was expensive (145 amber for my first, won’t change my name ever, now), but definitely worth it for being able to recharge stamina pretty much anywhere as long as I’m high up with my griffin, and have the mobility of a tapejara. And being able to do dive bombs. That’s a big plus.

This it definitely the best flyer out there but it takes a freaking lot of time… I mean hours

Tips for breeding:

You can only breed griffins with the same name suffix (-son,-ra,etc)

You need 6-8 ac units to incubate their eggs

Breeding them is the only way to get the eggs for griffin kibble (you can find the recipe from the recipes tab)

The baby won’t eat unless it’s close to the mother

If you use a pheromone you get a super griffin egg, which is used in to make a better version of the griffin kibble (again find the recipe in the recipes tab)

Quick tip first you lvl the stam until too 1000 and do the rest to health so it doesnt get one tapped from giga

They’re located on the mountain closest to Carno Island. Make the trap either by the beach or at the base of the mountain so you don’t get attacked on the top or on your way up. Make a trap out of four stone dino gates and two doors. Use a pteranadon and lead it in, flying out when it goes in. I advise using tranq darts on a low level so you don’t kill it. Use Allosaurus Kibble on Ark Mobile. It would’ve taken me ages using it anyways, so be sure to get a Major Soothing Bomb from the store. It’s slightly expensive, but it saved me a hell of a lot of time in the long run. When you get them, level them up on stamina, health, and weight. Mellow damage is also a good idea.

Very mid considering the taming requirements. Even when you have 10x soothing balm, on a good level griffin, that still means a good number of allo kibble. Tbh, just tame an argy, better weight, Stam, damage (except for divebomb attack) and more carriable creatures. Also, argy TLC ideas, eagle vision will let your argy spot any creature above ground whether through trees or rocks, argues should be able to glide, dive and soar on thermals( wouldn't work in snow biome for the soar part) and all creatures should gain the ability to carry other creatures without riders pls. Another cool idea for all creatures would be feather variations to the creatures that apply, as well as body type variations( skinny is fast and thicker has better health.)
