So I was taking a 135 and I knocked out, put in my soothing balm and waited for it to eat my kibble, I put spikes around it just in case. Then when I came back it was at like 83 percent and I was pumped, I leave it for a second to go get my Pteranodon but it was gone, then when I looked back THESE FREAKING BUMHOLES WERE KILLING IT AND MY PTERANODON WENT TO GO FIGHT THEM AND IT DIED. So then I get SUPER PISSED OFF and I pull my gigs and call the tribe to hunt them down and kill them, we found their base with the parasaur and then we POPCORNED EVERYTHING, KILLED ALL OF THEIR TAMES, AND DESTROYED THEIR BASE, they got super mad and left the server and I eventually found a 145 and tamed it peacefully.
The full moon shone down on a wide valley, casting silver light across the river that cut through the forest. A small waterfall cascaded over a low cliff, adding fizz to the river.
A shape loomed from the darkness, standing over the edge of the river. In the dark it was nearly impossible to see their features, but the milky silver moonlight reflected off of two large, feathered wings and a hooked beak.
Another figure stepped out of the trees, following the first. This one was larger, and in the moonlight it was visible that they were older.
“What do you see?” the smaller one asked, turning its head towards the older figure and sending its feathers rippling.
“I see the downfall of every Clan,” the older creature said in a more rough tone. They stared into the river. “Every night I see the same thing. The downfall of all of us.”
Moonlight reflected off of the first creature’s eyes, making the fear in their gaze visible. “What do we do?”
“I can do nothing,” the older one said, turning its entire body towards the smaller creature. “But you must find the prophesied one.”
The smaller creature opened its mouth to reply, but was cut short by a long, low rumble that filled the night air. It sent many small birds shrieking from the trees.
Both creatures lifted their heads to look up at the sky. Dark clouds were assembling above them, gathering like an army that was about to attack. Lightning flashed, leaping from cloud to cloud.
“I don’t know where to look for them,” the smaller creature protested, turning its head back to look at the older one again. They were already heading towards the trees, tail sweeping after them. They paused, looking over their shoulder. “Trust your instinct,” they said, before turning and padding into the trees. Just as their figure disappeared from view, a white bolt of lightning shot down from the sky, striking one of the trees that the older creature had just passed beside.
The other creature was blown back from the jolt of power, and the world began spinning. ‘The downfall of this world’, a voice breathed into their ear, the words ringing in their head.
And then everything went dark, and they collapsed in a patch of wildflowers as the forest was set ablaze.
I play on Ark Mobile, and the Griffin is my absolute FAVOURITE flyer. Around a week ago, I was flying around near the island’s redwoods looking for a good ol’ Quetz, and I came level with one of the recently added, Supply Crates. Being the absolute crazy kid I am, I thought to myself “Wonder if I can land on top of the crate while it’s coming down”! With a little bit of aerial agility, Thea was above the drop. Believe it or not, yes, yes you can land on Supply Crates while they are falling from the sky like massive overpowered raindrops. Use this as you wish. Personally, Imma just start landing on top of the crates on official servers, and then give whoever’s waiting for them at the bottom a heart attack😂.
Warning, Large blocks of text. There’s a TLDR at the bottom incase you need that. Enjoy!
So I recently got back into playing the game, and went onto the server I had the most progress in. The only two dinos of mine that lived were my giga, Ruby, & my Eery Spino, Peridot. I had a ton of Eery back then, as well as two griffins, so I was a bit bummed out. So, I decided to try and tame a new griffin.
This was such a pain.
I remade a rifle and some darts, got some narcotics, and flew off on a Argy named Blueberry. I then flew to Far’s Peak. From past experiences, I didn’t want to go there, but had no other choice since Griffins don’t spawn often anywhere else. So there I was at Far’s Peak, ready to tame a Griffin. First one I found, I knocked out somewhat easily. Pretty sure it was a level 5 or something, Can’t remember the name. Basically, I did some babysitting with it, until I realized something: I wasn’t going to have enough narcs. I had only used a 3x balm on it, plus allo kibble. So, I proceeded to go to the forest and farm some narcoberries. Now here’s my biggest mistake: I did this at sunset. As we all know, Nighttime in ark is horrendous, and it’s very hard to see. Went back to the mountain, couldn’t find it. I spent about 20 or so minutes looking for it. Eventually, I gave up and went to tame a new one. That’s where I made another mistake. Found a level 2 named Morthena I believe, which I knocked easily. But remember how I said I was low on narcs? Yeah, I still was. I only had 80 now. See, I ran out of darts and had to result to Tranq arrows, hence I had to craft some. You can then guess what all happened there.
But, Eventually, I was actually prepared. The Tribe Owner helped me out by farming some Bio toxin, while we also made much more darts and narcs. I also had a 10x balm now, so I was ready. It did take a while because I was using a Argy and no trap, but I knocked out a griffin level 2, named Mornissa. From there, Everything went well! So yeah, that’s the story of how I got Mornissa. Now, It’s the hunt to find a male with the same surname, aha...
TLDR; Failed at taking griffins because I was low on narcs, eventually named one named Mornissa, level 2.
Loki spread his gray feathered wings, inhaling deeply as a sharp wind hissed along the ledge he stood upon. His yellow-gold talons flexed, hooked claws leaving small marks in the stone. The green feathers on the underside of his wings glistened slightly.
He blinked his strangely pearlescent green eyes before diving off of the ledge, opening his wings and letting himself be caught in an air current. Tilting himself upward, he soared along until a wider ledge came into view.
With an elegant flourish of his feathered wings, Loki landed on the ledge, causing a heavy THUMP. His sudden landing scared the living daylight out of a pair of dodos.
With a flick of his tail, Loki turned to look at his home.
Griffin Valley. An enormous crack in the earth, creating an enormous series of cliffs. Waterfalls cascaded down multiple cliffs, creating a huge lake in the bottom of the valley. More water poured in along a path that led from the ocean.
Standing on the ledge, Loki could see multiple griffins soaring around, some of them hunting, others lounging in the sun.
“What are you doing up here?” a voice asked.
Loki turned around to see a silver and black griffin standing behind him. She had a few golden flecks on the underside of her wings, gray talons, and pale blue eyes which reminded him of the frothed water at the bottom of the valley.
“Ah, Valkyrie,” Loki greeted. “I wanted to see the view.”
Valkyrie shook her head, a small smile creasing the corners of her mouth. “You know that only the Elders are allowed up here.”
Loki rolled his eyes. Why was Valkyrie always like that? Constantly telling him reasons he couldn’t do things. “Like they’d care,” he said with a flick of his wings. He blinked innocently. “And besides, they never come up here anyways. They’re too old and heavy to make it all the way up here!”
Valkyrie smiled, and then forced herself to scowl. “Don’t say that!” she said. “They might hear you.”
Loki snorted. “They’re all so old, they’re probably all deaf by now. And plus—” Before he could finish, the unmistakeable throaty roar of a giganotosaurus echoed around Griffin Valley.
“A giga? Here?” Panic flared in Valkyrie’s eyes. Loki sprang into the air and followed a group of griffins heading towards the sound, all of them easily ready to slaughter the huge carnivore. He could hear Valkyrie flapping after him.
Loki rounded a corner—or, it was more of a cliff-edge—and collided head-on with the huge, gray-green tail of a giganotosaurus.
Now this is about how i lost my griffin....which was lvl 437
So i had tamed many many dinos now like a eerie theri a rex a giga and many more so i had god console i was flying around with god console and i rode my griffin and when i landed and dismounted it went flying into the jungle becuz i forgot to turn off the fly and i had put my dinos on stop cuz its annoying when they follow me around i had like 20 dinos most of them very big and when my griffin went flying i whistled follow everyone followed me and it was a disaster but i never got my griffin back (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`) R.I.P Saniden Aka sandy cuz i deleted that world out of anger....i regret it
So, I was on my griffin and was looking for other griffins with the same last name. But then, as ones chasing me I got the glitch where it doesn't let you fly, so I was running on it to water (because that counters the glitch) and this griffin that was chasing us was like a 140 and my grif was like 60 with pretty much zero health. So I get stuck in a tree and he is dying and I'm freaking out. He then dies, so I look at his implant to see if I can revive. 226 AMBER. I walked back to my base in the snow and made him a gravestone. RIP Daeerric, a death from his own kind....
When u r riding a Griffin, try to fly up high in the sky and dive back down to the ground (only when it smashes the surface of the land) and it will deal huge area damage. U can also do another trick by doing the same method BUT dont land straight, try to face up a little and and u will sprint 100× faster than a gallimimius which can be the most fastest sprint ever recorded in the island.
