If there not spawning do a dino wipe wich is destroywilddinos if your on multiplayer its cheat other then that your fine it worked for me.

When taming a royal griffin trap it first by using 3-5 dinosaur gate on a flat surface then you can tranquilizes it,I remend using a 10x smooth balm and also remend using allo kibble for your first two Griffin and breed the two Griffin to get a Griffin egg, then use the Griffin egg to make the Griffin kibble,then use the Griffin kibble to tame a higher level Griffin

Here how to make allo:

1 allow egg

1 savoroot

1 cooked prime meat

2 mejoberry

3 fiber

1 fill water jar

Here how to make Griffin kibble:

1 Griffin egg

1 cook prime meat

10 fiber

1 savoroot

1 longrass

1 citronal

1 snake plant seed

The only issue if youre taming and using a low level is its low stamina,health and even atk.so only use the low level for its eggs farming

Level stamina until it outclasses your best flier

Anyone else think you have to be the griffin’s level or higher to take it 85 is kind of a grind

For you curious peeps who are wondering why they can't hold many creatures: 1. They hold the creatures in their front claws, so there isn't much room for bigger creatures. 2. If they could carry big creatures, the Argy would have no advantages!

U can attack while gliding down with these guys, and that attack deals much more damage. Mine with 1100 melee killed 4k hp quetz in 2 hits

Does the change name ticket work in single player?

Do not unclaim the griffin it cannot be claimed again but if you unclaimed it already or by accident then try this

First knock out the grifin then tame it again after you have tamed it you will have to chronical it because if you don't it will die from neglect in 15 mins after you chronical it the effect of it dying from neglect will go away and revive it in one of the obelisks and you got your griffin back

Damn. These creature is so hard to tame, cant they atleast carry caving creatures such as direwolves and baryonixes so they’ll be atleast worth taming and not just being able to fly really fast and nothing else?

theres a glich were if you go into the second seat of your griffin wait about 5-10 sec and you get stam even when ur flying just make sure its not following anything if it trys to land go higher isk if it works on other devices but it works on my phone or it might just be bugged idk

The only thing unique about the griffin is that you can shoot a gun while riding it

So you know there are toys in the premium shop that boost maturity rate by 1.8x-2.1x? Yeah that does not work with Royal Griffin, I tested it in single player default settings. You're stuck with default rates of your server, and that takes around 48 days on official servers with base maturation speed. But you only need to worry about the first 5 days (or until juvenile) because once it's juvenile, it eats from a trough. So protect it somewhere safe inside the base, feed it meat and do it until it's a juvenile, tribes help a lot, with everyone taking turns to do this.

Good for griefing other people in pve

Why cant these guys carry larger dinos since they are bigger argys. I havent tamed one yet but looking at a few animals I want to tame I see griffins cant carry it, but they are larger than a argy. Griffins should be able to carry the same dinos as argys and maybe a few more rather than smaller creatures.

Best long process but worth it way-

1: tame 2 low level allosaurus and make allosaurus kibble (skip if want to but recommended)

2: tame a PAIR (same surname/same last letters) very low level griffin (10-30) with allosaurus kibble and 10x soothing balm from cave or just soothing balm

3: breed the park and make a LOT of griffin kibble

4: easily tame a high level griffin with 10x balm

I don’t know why peeps say royal griffins aren’t worth the tame because of the low stats? It’s the easiest way to tame a quetzal with a royal griffin and you can kill gigas from above with them, they’re so useful.

This+toxicant arrow compound bow or tranq darts+wild giga= one taned giga.
