Use a crab when harvesting gems. Simply wait for it to unearth a good haul (sometimes over 25 red gems and 40 blue gems) then grab the mole with the crab, take the gems, get back on and throw the mole away and fly (well jump good) to safety. Remember no matter how far away the mole who dug up the gems will get angry when they pick them up BUT other moles only aggro with it if they are close when you pick up the gems, or hit the mole.

Can gather Wood, thatch, Mushrooms, and Berries

When it burrows underground it brings up gems, this is a great method of gathering red gems in the early stage of the game.. but be careful as it will attack when you pick up the gems

Bring extra honey it will sometimes fake burrow as well as burrow and eat the honey but will not gain tame efficiency

Also, just like picking up a trike/stego egg, if you pick up a gem it will agro it

You definitely need a Anky to get any use out of one. The saddle costs so much metal, 425 ingots! So if your playing on aberration get an anky in the blue zone I had to find the blue zone myself because there is no YouTube vids on where to find them. So good luck metal gathering!

When they dig and arise from the ground they drag up gems with them.

It isnt like other tames to tame it wait for it to dig in the ground then throw honey on the hole

This animal is a litle hard to tame because when he goes to underground you have to be very fast trow the honey

Awesome wood collector, a minute and a few trees later I collected 1500 wood with my lvl 120 roll rat. And they are not that difficult to tame if you have access to giant bee honey.

If you want easy food or hide, just steal a gem and lure it into the water. You get a gem and it drowns before reaching the shore.
