DFL’S GUIDE TO ABBERATION CREATURES PART 1: The Rock Drake

Temperament: Aggressive

Location: the Rock Drake can be found wandering the map, mostly around the blue zone and the red zone, they rarely make their way up to the green zone

How to Tame: you can’t tame a Drake like you tame any other creature, you need to steal the Drake eggs from the nests, much like a wyvern. Make your way to the Drake trench, the deepest part of Abberation, there is where the eggs will be. After finding the eggs equip climbing picks, and climb down to the nest, this is the most dangerous part. If a deal doesn’t spot you, the will when you grab the egg. After you grab it, run back to the spino or karkinos you came down on, and start killing the drakes that are chasing you, and then run, if you can’t get away fast enough then you will probably die. Drakes are fast and deadly and will kill you quite fast in large groups.

Raising: After successfully escaping from the trench, just hope you built twenty air cons before hand. I had an otter and leveled it up by killing baby spinos, and that helped so I only built twelve. While the egg is incubating go out and leave your light pet at home, grab some nameless venom from the nameless, that is what your Drake eats. Make sure you imprint it, and now you have your very own Rock Drake!

To raid the nest on fjordur I recommend using a pack of aberrant megalosaurus and a desmodus. They all are immune to radiation so you won’t need mushroom brew. Ride the desmodus while wearing radiation armor. Sic the megs on the drakes till there are none left. You could also use aberrant spino, found in aberration cave like megalosaurus.

You can use dimetrodons to help hatch so you don’t have to use as much ac units.

Use the andrewsarchus to get the egg the (turret) saddle protects you from any radiation so you dont need a hazard suit!!!

For 20% incubation boost the exact ideal temp is -85°C.

It’s not the best, but i once used a bloodstalker with that mushroom stew and got in and out quick

When incubating eggs in an incubator, temptress-85 gives full incubation boost.

They are found on fjodur in Asgard if you don’t know how to get go on to outbid and search up “teachersgametoo” and scroll down and look for island tour it shows you where the cave/teleporter

Instead of just using a million AC’s just use an egg incubator, it’s cheaper in terms of metal.

Take 6 air con units, one generator and fuel to the top of the snow area and that will work. Take a cryo pod and fridge to transport it back.

I got an egg without a hazmat suit. As soon as u get to there chamber there’s a nest that usually has an egg in it directly to the right then get out.

You can use stimberries and a snow owl to raise babies just keep torp down and health up

Bring lots of megolos to the trench or if you bought the bobs tall tales then use cosmo to web in and find an egg and then out. They take a lot air conditioners to hatch the egg too. Make sure you also have nameless venom because that’s the only thing baby rock drakes eat. And voila you have yourself a gliding lizard

You can easily dash into the cave with a managarmr on fjordur and snatch an egg in a flash

Another way to do the math for food stat loss when raising rockdrakes. They lose 1food per 15 seconds. you lose 4 food every minute. (My advice go up to 5 if your paranoid like me and get Arked. 60mins x 4food = 240, (240 is the total food stat loss per hour.)

Now take your total food stat and ÷ by 240, and you will have a correct time as well.

Super easy to steal eggs using a yi ling. Rock drakes can only glide and dash so just gain altitude to escape them once you pick up the egg with the yi ling.

When your imprinting on a rock Drake and they have something you can't do, use a cryo pod to pick it up then put it back down, and then it should have changed it's need. Hope this helps

Manas are prolly the easiest way to get eggs if u breed for a fast one it’s super easy make sure it has a good amount of health tho cus the radiation does get annoying it won’t kill u but you can never be too safe

Rock drakes arw one of the best dinos probably top 5 in ab it’s just annoying you have to get a lots of acs caves is good health high melees good caves probably no1 use in ab fjordur 3 or 2 gliding relay good not maewing hut good other than acs snf stealing the egg no complaints
