What are some stories about the raptor? Memorable raptor stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
Carnivores Ep. 1
“Wake up Beam! Wake up!”
Beam lifted her head from the ground and snarled at her little sister.
“I was sleeping.” Beam growled.
“Duh.” Her sister said. “BUT there’s a mob of dilos outside our lair! There like marching and stuff.”
Marching and stuff? Dilos? Beam stood up on her hind legs and shook the dirt of her feathers. She walked out from their cave and spotted, low and behold, at least thirty dilophosaurs screaming into the moonlight, their heads lifted high. Was this some sort of party?
“Today we managed to do the impossible!” The head dilo exclaimed. “We scared a RAPTOR! You all know how we HATE the comps and paras, don’t forget other dilos that don’t believe we can do it!”
“WOO HOO!” Many dilos hooted.
“ but today we’ve propped them wrong! A raptor! He shoes to mess with us! We taught him a lesson!” She howled. “So tonight we celebrate! We are the alphas! WE are the top predators!” She spread out her arms and looked up to the sky, and they all cheered,
“The SPITTERS SHALL ALWAYS RULE! WERe CARNIVORES FOREVER!”
A(kind of) wholesome story
I once hatched a raptor and fully imprinted it. He was green like emerald and was just beautiful. We did together so many cave runs and he always came out without a scratch. We were together all the time and as I progressed through levels, i started to tame a lot better dinos. One day I wanted to tame a rex, but I had too much tames. I didn't know, who else to unclaim, than my raptor. So I did what I had to. I didn't tame the rex. I love my raptor too much! And from that day I stayed with my raptor. We went on walks, i occasionally handfed him, and we even went on hunts! And we still do! I have this raptor for too long to let it go! And i always come back to my old base to thank him for all the good times we had together.

—————————————————————————
The three eggs hatched, and two males and a female came out. Their mother named the two males Dullclaw and Grassfeather, and the female Longfeather. It was going well: the raptors were growing well, and their mother fed them with meat. When they were young raptors, they went out to complete their first hunt. “ I wonder what we’ll find today.” Said Longfeather. “I don’t know, but I want to kill it!” Said Dullclaw. Little did they know, a ravager was stalking them. Longfeather stopped. “Guys, I hear something.” Said Longfeather in a worried tone. “Stop worrying, Longfeather.” Said Grassfeather. “ We’ll just kill it.” Then, the ravager came out of the undergrowth. “What are three raptors doing here?” He said. “Who are you?” Said Dullclaw, stepping forward. “Back down, little raptor.” Said the ravager. “ You are part of the raptor tribe.” Said the ravager. “Perhaps you know the story of the ancient tribe.” The ravager said. “ I don’t want to talk about it.” Said Grassfeather. “ You know what happens in the story, right?” Said the ravager. “ What?” Said Dullclaw. “We kill them!” Shouted the ravager, lunging at Dullclaw. “Dullclaw, no!” Shouted Longfeather. But it was too late. The ravager grabbed Dullclaw’s neck, and crushed it, killing him. His body slumped to the ground. “ Nooo.” Cried Grassfeather, tears forming in his eyes. “You’ll die for this!” Yelled Grassfeather, and clawed at the ravager’s side. “Fool!” Yelled the ravager, and in turn bit Grassfeather’s arm. He screeched in pain, and tried to bite back, but the ravager threw him to the ground. “ You will die now!” Said the ravager, and ripped his side open. After the ravager got up, Longfeather saw his body laying on the ground, lifeless. She ran away, tears in her eyes. The ravager yelled, “ When I find you, raptor, I will kill you too, then all of your tribe!” The ravager then walked away, leaving the bodies there.
RAPTOR RED, a tale of my first raptor tame. 2023, October. The trip wasn’t to get a raptor in the beginning. But a kapro. On my way to the swamp I was attacked by two raptors ( a teal and red one ) I killed the teal and realized “ I can bola this other one” I bola’d it and KO’d it. Fed it meat and..l named him…red (I know, I know.) we walked to the swamp still in search of a kapro. When night fell…I heard a hiss. Titanoboas rose from the murky depths of the water and sarcos jumped at me. They were relentless. We ran down the beach a good half a mile from the swamp. They were still chasing. Eventually the poison got to red and he fell asleep. But I refused to let him die. I shot those a**holes thousands of times until he woke up. We had both lost a good amount of health but managed to hightail it outta there with our lives. We got back home…and the very next night I made him a saddle. He now lives in his pen and comes with me on my travels along with his adoptive dilo brothers and adoptive sister pachycephalosaur.
When I was new in Ark and killed multiple times by Raptor, so I decided to tame one. I bring bola, narcotic, meat and started searching for it. I found him and try to bola but missed and he killed. Again I try bola, missed and killed for 5-6 times then I thought I cannot bola him. I climbed on rock and try to tranquize. He was very fast I missed some arrow and hits a lot of tranq arrow and killed multiple times in this process. Finally I killed him just by using tranq. After a lots of day I understand that Raptor was an Alpha and cannot be tamed 🥲

I’m taking a break from ToS (Tribe of Shadows). Had an idea of revamping War of the Mountains (I think that’s what I named it? Can’t remember). Anyways, here’s a few things about the new War in the Mountains (WitM), as I’ve retitled it:
1: The main character is still a raptor, named Pyro after my old tame.
2: It’s going to be really gory. So if you don’t like that kinda stuff, you might wanna leave.
And now, a basic description of this map. The continent is called Arridé. Its human capital is Whitehold, and the ruler is Tyrone Rexclaw. The Raptorian country is dubbed Imperium. The capital of Imperium is Ark’enøs. The subcontinents are the Void Isles to the north, where The Void Wyrn rules the Wyverns, and thus the Void Isles. There are no recorded human tribes on the Void Isles. The subcontinent to the southwest is the Rockdrake Nation, ruled by Lord Ebony. The Rockdrake Nation’s capital is Onyxx. Finally, the eastern subcontinent is the Raptorian Mountains, also called Imperium. Imperium is a massive, heavily forested mountain range with mostly spruce trees. Whitehold is surrounded by plains and rivers, so an excellent choice for hunting. The Void Isles are barren and snowy, though some of them host volcanoes where Fire Wyverns live. The Rockdrake Nation is full of oak trees and metal rocks, making it a valuable area for the daring human settler if they can evade the patrols. My new book is kinda similar to Wings of Fire for the humans, honestly. The Thylacleos own a chunk of land in Imperium, making them, technically, a state. The Thyla ruler is King Saber. The head of the raptors is Empress Shade, Pyro’s mother. Actually, the raptors are split into three clans: The Blades, whom are allied with the Thylas, and are Pyro’s clan. The Blades are ruled by Empress Sahde, Pyro’s aforementioned mother. Next are the Phantoms, allies with the Void Wyrm and his country. The Phantoms are ruled by Governor Talon. And lastly, the Drakons, allied with the Rockdrakes and ruled by Chief Deimos. Now, onto Pyro’s story. Well, just a bit of his background, what he looks like, etc.
Pyro is a red and yellow Blade raptor, and the heir to the Blade Dynasty. (In my old ARK server, the raptor clan was called the Flame Legion). His title is Praetor. Pyro is the son of Empress Shade, and brother of Clawlock and Scorchling. Pyro is an excellent fighter, and surprisingly friendly to other species. One of his drawbacks is he trusts people too much.
Does this sound interesting? Lemme know if it does.

If you joined the right ark server at the right time on the right date you will see stuff you never imagined was real. You would see dinosaurs killed millions of years ago. And creatures made of fanfiction and horror itself. Prepare yourself for a world you never imagined. But unlike the normal "game" you feel pain. And you can't leave this server once you join. Heck you don't even know who you are. And there are the rumors that something is happing now you can't respawn. We are losing more tribemates daily this is a warning for all who proceed. BE CAREFUL. And I wish you the luck I... We the first ones never had
Ps. I think we're the first ones anyway I have found notes made by others but to who I don't know.
-kanara I hope you like the prologue it's short but give you some back ground info B-Bye

Chapter 13-
The water was wild, raging, and icy in temperature. The fierce spray made it so that even if Tealfeather's head could breach the surface, she could barely breathe without inhaling water. Her leg was barely hurting, despite being trapped under a rock. A sickening snap told her it was broken, but still Teal felt no pain. Adrenaline coursed through her veins, negating thought. Her only instinct was to survive. She heard a strangled cry of help, and realised with shock that it was her own. There was a sharp pain in her lungs, making her dizzy. Her vision began to fade. Finally, *finally*, she slipped into the peaceful resolution of unconsciousness.
On the brink of consciousness, Tealfeather listened. There were two voices, fading in and out of earshot. Or perhaps, Teal was fading in and out of a deeper sleep.
"What were you thinking?" hissed one of the voices.
"I couldn't leave her there." replied a second voice
"Ace, you can't save everyone. Especially those rouges. Remember, they killed your brother."
"I didn't see the malicious killer in her when she was pushed off the cliff," the second raptor, Ace, said flatly.
The first raptor sighed. Teal had an inkling that they did that a lot.
"Injuries?"
"Broken leg, some minor cuts and bruises, maybe a fractured rib."
"All right... she can stay."
"Thank you Rain! I prom-"
"*For now*."
Ace began speaking, but his voice began to fade. Slowly but surely, Teal slipped into a deep sleep, where no voices could follow.
Tealfeather awoke suddenly with a sharp intake of breath. She had been wrenched from a dream into a rather large, sheltered area. The place was walled off my sheer rock faces on two sides, and a third was made up of tall trees that stretched their branches to create a canopy. Teal was lying in a small nest of moss near the convergence of the two rock walls. A sturdy stick was tied to her leg, secured with large strips of rope-like fibre. *Where* am *I?*
My first and only raptor tame was a doozy…it all started one day when I was wondering…I’m lvl 35 and I still haven’t tamed a raptor…I need to tame one…so I went to the swamp about 10-12 miles away and had to avoid titanoboas spinos and sarchos to get there anyway I finally made it…there I saw a bright red raptor I knew that was the one I wanted it was hard but I finally trapped and tranqualized it…I named him red so we were on our way back when I heard slithers…I looked behind me and saw like 10000000000000000000 million titanboas (sorry for the misspells and over exaggeration I’m only 10)I ran for my life and red followed but the titanoboas caught up with us…but there was no deaths I killed most of them but red had been knocked unconscious and there were some sarco coming but I fended them off long enough…he woke up and the Sarcos lost interest in us after a while so we made it back..he’s now very old but still going…along with my dilo team and my….big turtle? I forgot the name named Shelly and my dodos Albert and daisy and my pachysaurus named pachy and my lytrosaurus Mikey and that other big lizard thing petunia…

Chapter 3-
"Teal!"
Bronzefeather shook his sister awake.
"Teal! Scarletfeather's eggs hatched!" Bronze cried softly.
Tealfeather's eyes shot open.
"Scarletfeather's eggs?"
"No, I said Bloodfeather's eggs." Bronzefeather said with a straight face. "Of course I said Scarlet's, do you know any other raptors with eggs?"
Tealfeather got up and stretched out her stiff muscles. Yellowfeather was still sleeping in her spot, near the edge of the nest. Teal made her way toward Scarletfeather's nest, closely followed by Bronze, who was happily springing around her.
"Come *on*," he said.
Tealfeather laughed. There was nothing more adorable than her brother's obsession with baby raptors. They arrived at Scarletfeather's nest - a hollow tunnel in a rock with vines covering the entrance- and pushed their way through the curtain of writhing vines. Scarlet herself lay with her back pressed against the back wall, watching her children fondly. Two baby raptors were in the nest, one rolling around in a fragment of eggshell, the other attempting to stand on its tiny legs.
"So. Cute!" Bronzefeather breathed.
Tealfeather resisted the urge to laugh.
"What are their names?" Bronze asked.
"Indigofeather," she said pointing to the little raptor trying to stand, who had toppled over in a very cute and very funny way, "and Silverfeather. Both female."
Bronzefeather looked like he was going to collapse. The vines to the nest lifted once more and another raptor walked in.
"Greyfeather!" cried Teal, recognising her best friend.
"Hi Teal! I didn't know you were here too."
"Did you come to see the hatchlings?"
"What else would I come here for?" Grey chuckled, her light grey feathers bobbing as she laughed.
Scarlet gave her a glare.
"Oh... right." Greyfeather finished awkwardly.
"C'mon Bronze, we should let Grey see the babies.
"Hmm," replied Bronze, who wasn't paying attention in the slightest and was instead cooing at Indigo and Silver.
"Oh nevermind." she sighed affectionately. "I'm going out hunting."
"Bye Teal," Greyfeather and Bronzefeather replied in unison.
Tealfeather sighed. She wasn't having the nest luck with hunting. She'd found a parasaur, but it had whapped her painfully with its tail and gotten away. There was a rustling in the bushes. Teal froze. She looked over and saw a troodon creeping up behind a dodo. If she killed the troodon, she could bring back both the troodon *and* the dodo! Teal pounced, sinking her claws into the troodon back. It screeched and left a shallow bite on her arm. She howled in pain and bit down on the troodon's neck. The troodon screeched and went limp. Tealfeather glared at the bite on her arm, now dripping blood. She looked for the dodo. There it was! Fleeing the scene of the hunt at a pathetic pace. Suddenly the dodo... fell unconscious? The dodo suddenly tipped over, like it had passed out. A few seconds later, it was gone. *What in the..?*
Teal sighed. The troodon venom must be making her woozy. The world seemed to drop away behind the dodo, the trees swallowed up into the land, which was quickly replaced with some grey substance that moulded to fill the nooks and crannies of the world. A visual distortion seemed to be approaching, where the air itself looked... fake. It engulfed Teal and she fell into darkness.

Prolouge + Chapter 1
Prolouge-
The Shift
Prolouge -
It hit the ocean first. The Tusos, the Mosas, the Plesios, they never saw it coming, the silent killer. At least, that was what probably happened, it killed them. All the creatures, gone after the barrier hit them. Errors had been made. Where? No one knew, but one thing was for sure, something had shifted in the ARK, created this wall, and it wouldn't stop until it had devoured everything on it.
Chapter 1-
The Shift
Chapter 1 -
The raptor pounced, digging its hooked claws into the thick, leathery hide of the parasaur. The para bellowed in pain and took off, the raptor grimly hanging on. It let go, leaving a deep scratch in the para's leg before falling behind. The parasaur's momentum carried it forward into the thick vegetation near the beach, but it tripped and fell hard. The raptor caught up swiftly and leaped on the para's neck, breaking it.
"Quite the kill, Tealfeather!" yelled a voice from the beach.
"Thanks!" Tealfeather yelled back.
The other raptor walked into the forest, fastening it's teeth around the parasaur's tail.
"This will be... hard to carry back," the raptor mumbled with his mouth full of parasaur.
"It's not that far back to camp. Anyway, you're mother's big, strong Bronzefeather, capable of anything."
"That's not faaaair," Bronzefeather complained, "you know I hate having mother fawn over me as much as you do."
"She's counting the days until you get partnered, I'm sure of that. She can't wait to see if you can father an Alpha Raptor!"
Bronzefeather grunted. The truth was, Bronzefeather's partnering was only a moon away, and he was descended from an Alpha Raptor. Then again, so was Tealfeather. I'm only a moon younger than Bronze! Why isn't mother fawning over me aswell? Tealfeather thought frustratedly.
Bronzefeather had dropped the parasaur, but at that moment, he picked it up again and started viciously tugging it back in the direction of camp.
"A...little...help?"
Tealfeather laughed and grabbed snapped neck of the parasaur.
"Nice job Bronzefeather," said Yellowfeather.
"Actually mother, Tealfeather caught and killed this one." Bronzefeather replied.
"Hmm, is that so?" She said, disinterested. "Well run along, go take it to the prey pile."
Tealfeather and Bronzefeather dragged their kill toward the large pile of prey that had been caught by the camp in the past few days. Tealfeather silently hoped she would get a piece of the parasaur and not one of the older chunks of meat. She wouldn't complain if she didn't though. After all, the clan elders would starve if they didn't hunt for them!
"Nice one Blue!" called Limefeather, or as Teal called him, One-Eye. The elder raptor had indeed lost his eye in a battle some years ago.
"It's Teal." She corrected.
"Aye, but teal is blue, is it not?"
"Um, no."
One-Eye looked like he was about to reply when his body visibly tensed and he shifted
his focus to something behind Tealfeather.

My first raptor encounter was quite interesting. I was about level 12, and I've never seen a raptor before. I was doing my own things, when 3 raptors came to me out of nowhere. I got knocked of a cliff, but instead of dying, I landed on a rock. I tried to get off it, but I fell and died. The raptors were gone, and I built a base at the point where I died. Now I have a full army of them and I always try to tame one when I see them.
So I’am a bit of an idiot at Ark, but I would like to tell you about my experience with my first raptor. I was adventuring (as I usually do) when I came across a raptor I was scared but I managed (shaking) to use a bola and after that, I stopped for a moment, surprised by my success, then I realized that I needed to knock him out, so I used my bat and then killed some nearby dodos and fed him some meat, then I sat there for a while, and finally he woke up. I was so astonished by my own success, and together, we killed enough dinos to make him his own saddle. The end he’s now living at my base with his wife and son. Thanks for listening — me and Slarb the raptor. <3
So once, i made this hunting pack out of my 7 Raptors, 2 Barys and 1 Carno, only one of the barys was at a slightly higher level ( 216 ), the rest of my army was somewhere between 17-50, but that didn’t matter, we were slaughtering everything in our sight, theris, trikes, pachys, you name it. And then, i had to accidentally hit a lvl 240 bronto, my team didn’t stand a chance, i striked the bronto helplessly with my 216 bary as i watched my team get slaughtered, after they all died, i could have given the fight up there and now, but rage overtook me and i started to hit the bronto with all i could, surprisingly, my bary actually took down the superior bronto. The rage was replaced by a deep sadness as i looked at my tames’ bodies scattered across the bloody battlefield.
R.I.P. Argon, Flame, Sunset, Sunfall, Big Chungus, 2 other unnamed raptors, and an unnamed Bary and Carno, you will be missed dearly
I have a few raptors and a couple of fertile eggs due to the fact that they can incubate at beach temperature, where my base was set up. I walked out the house and noticed a second baby raptor (I birthed a claimed one days earlier in-game) and was surprised that it just showed up and I didn’t have to campfire-incubate like normal. Remember to spay/neuter so you don’t overpopulate for what you can’t account for. But if they lay fertile eggs they can be preserved for another day...
