These days it's so easy to tame Quetzal, u just need harpoon launcher, net projectile, some dino gates(any variant will work) and your flyer that u can shoot from(griffin or tapejara).

1. Find your self a Quetzal that u like to tame ( watch where is he flying, because if he is over dangerous place it will die)

2. Get on your flyer

3. Come close to Quetz and shoot the net on him

4. Watch where he fall down and place dino gates(one on his neck, his feet and the middle of his body, u can add some more if u think it will help)

5. Now u can tranq it

And What next u know.

There are 3 ways to knock out a quetz in single player. 1 grapple onto your argy and whistle attake target onto the quetz the Argy is slow so won't catch up and attach the Argy. Tranq the quetz walst dangling below the argy.2 tame a Griffin. Griffin s are the only flying tame were you can shoot of the back off walst riding.(this is how I tamed my 180 Tek quetz.3 this is for gen2 players (or people with Tek suits) only. Follow the quetz walst flying with a Tek suit and trank until knocked. Hope this helps :)

Shoot it with a dodo arrow, then it will attack u. Now pew pew it until it sleep sleep

Hop on a tapejara front passenger seat get it to attack the quetz and tranq it try and use tranq darts instead of arrows when the tapejara gets to point blank range set it to passive and continue tranqing it will flee towards the redwoods and black sands area so have about 15 wooden spike walls and or a cryopodded decent carnivore ( thyla rex spino allosaurs etc )

Just give it some prime meat or it’s kibble have some narcotics just in case and you just need to wait and by god kill all the carnivores nearby and watch out or your taming effectiveness is ruined

With taming at 0.1 and level 9999, this dude takes 1086 hours, which translates to 45 days.

Just get on da back of a Griffin then, shoot it like an enemy 'till it falls down. My first one landed in the swamps and I killed it 'cuz it's just lvl 10. The second one landed in the water near da volcano, and I killed it too. The last one, landed near a mountain and I commited massacre before chucking in kibbles and 3x soothing balm. Made a bed then, when I woke up it's tamed. Btw, it's a lvl 90 one and her name's Ferra.

For guys who play Ark Mobile, I would recommend to Follow these 3 step:

1-Get the supplies: Toxicant arrows(10-30) and extra tranquilizer darts(30-50), Rex Kibble(5-10) and Prime Cooked Meat(60-100), Narcotics(100-400), and weapons for defense.

2-Tame a Tapejara, it is the most important thing you Will need. Not so high level, Maybe 80-100…

3-Switch between the saddle places and use your Crossbow of Rifle to tranquilize the beast. To Follow it on the air, mark it as a target, the n your tapejara Will Follow it and try to attack. Be careful, don’t lose your creature

Griffin /Harpoon/w net projectile trap tame very ez

Just know while breeding them put them on passive or else they will fly away and get eaten by a giga

A way I’ve done it on mobile is jump off my flying tame and parachute down and grapple it then just KO it

U can freeze it with a snow owl and on the ground trap it with gates

Everone is saying to grappe the argy but why not grapple the quetx and put the argy on follow and pring a parachute so you don't die when it gets knocked (I haven't realy tested this but it should work pretty well).

Just shoot it out the sky with a harpoon net simple

When raising prepare a lot of cooked meat jerky for when you must log off to sleep or work, and the next day swap it out with cooked meat while your online, and before you get off again switch back to jerky, if you have enough it won’t starve and won’t spoil... or just simply lose your job and your girlfriend and don’t move from your chair for a week or so ;)

To solo KO this dino, jump off your bird with grapple equipped, grapple onto your bird then whistle it to attack the quetz, when you are near, whistle 'stop all'. Switch to tranq darts and shoot, rinse and repeat... gl!

Use Tapejara with tribemate or follow method (it’s all over here)

You can use dodo arrow then make a bird cage that will only save your and yours bird but I consider using a tapejara the when the little bit of torpor is left it will fly away then chase it and tranq it BOOM

So, Your Probably Here On How To Tame A High Level Quetzal. Well Here’s A Guide (MOBILE ONLY!)

1. Get A Bird Or Pterodactyl

2. Do Piranha Pursuit

3. Get A Lot Of Prime Meat Or Allo Kibble

4. Use The Balm And Meat/Kibble To Tame A Low Level Griffin

5. Use The Griffin To Tame A Low/High Level Quetzal (Can Stop Here If You Just Want A Quetzal And Your Not A High Level)

6. Make A Quetzal Plat Form Saddle

7. make A Quetzal Trap

8. use The Trap To Tame A Even Higher Lvl Quetzal

The easiest, EASIEST way to tame a Quetzal, is to go to a GEN 2 server, fly up to it yourself, shoot a net at it fall to the ground with and hit with tranq darts. Wash rinse repeat until ready to tame, then it's all down hill from there, unless there's a predator near by. Regardless of what you do, you need to prep before hand, bring a lit of Narco, tranq darts and food (dealers choice/ refer to doddex). Then it's all yours.

If you play duo grab your friend with Argent and chase Quetzal. I Recommend 2x Longneck rifle on higher level and second Argent on follow to fast swap when first gets tired. I broke one and almost second rifle on lvl135. 150 darts were enough even with some misses. Prepare to build trap with stone dino doors to protect him. Ours dropped near 145 alfa raptor… Rip Flying Truck. It was good Argent :(
