Three methods:

RARE FLOWERS DON’T WORK

1. Ride in the passenger seat of a Tapejara and whistle attack target. If it’s too fast, whistle passive, then repeat until it’s knocked out.

2. Use dodo arrows to lead it into a trap, then tranq it until it’s out.

3. Use an argy and grapple to it. Like the Tapejara, whistle attack target, then passive if it gets too close.

Tamed my first today. Used my tapejara, flex tapejara to knock him. I used a soothing balm ( ark mobiles) and had a quetzal. I gave him the saddle I got from the hunt argy pursuit and slowly flew home.

Step 1: get on a flying Dino with a buddy

Step 2: find a quetzal

Step 3: knock it out

Step 4: watch it get mindlessly eaten alive by carnivores when it lands

Step 5: obtain severe depression

Step 6: find another quetzal

Step 7: repeat until your quetzal finally lands in a good spot (usually takes 2,000 tries)

tame a Griffin and find a high level Quezal and K.O it and tame it if it land in the red wood make spike wall don't use tapejara i try that aint work if you are reading this good luck tame a Quezal Thanks.

Required: Tape/Griffin/Desmodus (best method: tape is low lvl/tamed at a low lvl), Rifle/Crossbow and Torpor ammo

Optional: Spike Fences

Step 1. Find your Quetzal

Step 2. Start Tranqing. On a Tape, set it to attack the quetzal and shoot from the second seat on the saddle. On a server it may be easier to have a friend/tribe member tranq it for you while you chase it

Step 3. Secure the area around your Quetzal. This can be with spike fences, or getting another tame/good weapon to fight off other creatures

Step 4. Tame

Step 5. Enjoy your quetzal :)

For those on this section saying things along the lines of “why are people making this so difficult ‘kill, revive, tame’”, Revival Platforms are not available on computer without mods. They are a specifically mobile thing along side amber and soothing balm, as well as other things.

1 tame desmodus, 2 go behind the quetzal ,3 shoot while on the desmodus because you can

People make the taming process sound hard , just get a Griffin or a tapajara , I prefer Griffin, I fly with the griffin and shoot trans at the quetzal , might fly halfway across the map but its easy

Was able to tame one on a mountainside without using any crazy tricks.

Easiest way to tame this giga bird is

Ingredient require longneck rifle with 50 tranquilizing dart and ate a tapejera

Step 1 - find this Bird it lurks around the red oblique in ark mobile 100% guaranteed

Step 2 - go to the second seat on the middle seat in tapejera

Step 3 - target qyatzal ( now your tapejera should start attacking it )

Step 4 - start hitting it with your rifle

Step 5 and the last - knock it and tame it

A great way to tame it in solo is to get on your Tapjera and tranq it by switching the seats.

Get a tapejara and switch seats and get close then shoot

There are many ways to tame a queaztal but one of the easiest ways is to get a friend get a tapajara and one of you follow the queaztal and the other person tranqs it on a passenger seat

If you want to tame a Quetzal, and you don't have any paracute or grappling hook, just shoot it with a shocking tranquilized dart (recomended) on your Griffin. Make sure that you shoot it in it face or butt. And don't forget to bring some metal spike wall (recomended) if the Quetzal knocked in the dangerous area.

If you have a dodo arrow(only on mobile) the quetzal will agro on you and as long as you can out run it you can pelt it with tranq

If your on rag just use a griffin it makes it so easy.if you don't have one, grapple a flyer and whistle it around

1.put a single honey on the last on your tool bar.

2.fly above its head and drop the honey, it will lose interest after about 10 to 15 seconds, keep doing that till it reaches the ground.”it takes about 5 honey”

3.trap it with 2 large gates one side on it’s neck and one behind it’s wings.

And you’re done.

With two people and a tapejara, this is literally a cakewalk, so long as it lands in a safe spot.

Just tame a Desmodus in fjordur and you can shot to the quetzal in the air. Be aware when It falls sleep, every dino likes to attack him.

If you already have a quetzal build a trap on it with a trapdoor on the top. Fly infront of the wild quetzal and make it fly inside. Unmount at a slight angle and the wild quetzal will get stuck. Now you can stand there mid flight and tame it.

Notice:

1 dont move your quetzal or the wild one could slip out, even when asleep.

2 add gates and a ramp to lure in ground animals.

3 gate to the front to trap smaller birds (just fly faster than them and "net" them like a jellyfish.

4 add ceilings around the trap as a platform to move on.

5 build the trapdoor and front gate in a way so they are open while you are flying (auto open and close).

6 add a ramp or path so you can get to your quetzal and mount it while flying.

Personally i added a fridge and bed to store kibble and let me spawn there.
