I actually just tamed one without a mount

TRUE STORY: once I was going to carnivore Island to tame a rex. At about a quarter-way there I'm thinking, "you know what, I should head back to get more cryopods, so that I can tame other dinos." The literal second I think that I see one of these things, and knock it out with Tranq arrows through a crossbow welst riding my great mount, lvl 180 crystal wyvern and went chasing it through the redwoods. In case you have not had to knock out a flyer with tropical crystal wyvern, if you want to try make sure you have no rage in this game. It is so dang hard.=l. Anyway, it was about to get away but, it flew straight into a cliff and I knocked it out then I nearly died to a bunch of kentros and sabers but in the end we all got home safe and sound, and soon after, I ended up with a breeding pair of rexs. Today I tamed one of these oversized pteranodons, it almost woke up on multiple occasions, almost died on multiple occasions, and almost drowned on an occasion, but finally, I tamed it and gave it its mastercraft saddle that I got from the argy hunt, I have yet to name it, and am only level 71 at the moment so I don’t have access to the platform saddle, wish me luck with this fat bird

At least Quetzals are big and can carry a lot of weight because this section is getting seriously weighed down with fan fiction.

So here is a story once on mobile I found one I am playing solo so I go and gear up for the tame it takes me from the swamp to the winter biome to the redwood to the north beach to the south beach back to the swamp I finally bring it down over the swamp instantly it gets attacked by a spino I am on a pterronadon I try to lead it away and I lost both my beloved pterronadon and the quezt so my tip be careful where you bring one down

Chapter twenty five: The Warrior Queen.

Jack dove back in forth, slicing enemy soldiers and horses with his sword. “Man, I’m so glad that Josh Swan taught us to use swords!” Jay exclaimed to him, cutting a soldier behind. The soldier fell to the ground dead, blood oozing from the wound in his stomach. Jack nodded, to focused to say anything else. A large rock suddenly whizzed by, almost hitting Jay. Jay skidded to the side just in time. He glared at the direction it came from. Jack saw that it was Marvelo who had threw it, using his telekinetic powers to throw it at them.

Marvelo raised his hand and another boulder came flying at them. Jay’s medallion glowed a vibrant green and he opened a portal in front of it. If flew in it and flew out another portal which led to it hitting the Krakos. Tom the Krakos barely flinched. A wyvern and it’s rider flew straight toward Tom’s face, breathing fire and baring its fangs. Tom simply lifted his hand and batted it away, like a child might bat away a toy. The wyvern screeched with pain and was hurled away. It hit the ground, breathing heavily. The rider had fallen off sometime in between its flight.

There was only one wyvern left, and that was Celia, the wyvern General Paul was riding. “We’re going to lose!” Jack cried, while battling a enemy soldier who had formed a ice sword, using his medallion implant. Jay stabbed him from behind. They paused for a second, wiping sweat from their tired faces. Jay grimaced. “I know. But we can’t go down without a fight.” Jay said grimly. Jack nodded and they embraced shortly.

“We’ll do this…together!” Jack said. Jay grinned. “Always.” Another soldier ran at them and they took him down easily. They fought together side by side, taking down the enemy, until they were tooken down by enemy woman soldier, who’s implant ability was manipulating plant growth. Jay and Jack were covered in vines, practically suffocating. The soldier walked toward them, her vine covered sword facing them. “Is this how we’re gonna die? By a plant lady?” Jack choked out. Jay attempted a grin. “Silence!” The woman barked. Her eyes were blank, and her face emotionless. A lifeless grin appeared on her face, as she raised her sword to annihilate them when…Suddenly a loud piercing cry echoed through the sky. “What was that?” Jay choked.

Jack couldn’t answer. He couldn’t breath. Something suddenly whizzed through the air. A arrow. It struck the woman in the head. Immediately then plants relaxed around them and Jack and Jay broke free of them. The woman lay at their feet dead. “Look!” Jay cried, pointing upward. Above them was a GIANT flock of armored griffins. On each of the griffins back was a soldier wearing Tek armor. The griffins were wearing it too.

A griffin landed next to them and a woman dismounted it. She had short auburn hair, tanned skin with brown freckles on her face and chocolate brown eyes, and was wearing metal Tek armor. She held a metal bow in her hands. Around her neck was a medallion. “Hello.” She said warmly. “Need a little help?” Jack and Jay exchanged looks of confusion. Another griffin landed nearby and a man dismounted it.

There was no time for introductions. Jay, Jack and the two other people fought side by side until they cleared a perimeter around them. The woman turned them, her eyebrows knit together in concentration. “Who are you?” Jay asked. The woman grinned. “I guess you’re father and mother never told y’all about me. I’m your Aunt Jenny.” She said. “WE have a aunt?!?!” Jack exclaimed. Jenny nodded. “But where have you been?” Jay asked. The smile face of Jenny’s face. “After James(Your father) your father took your mother into hiding, Tom came to the dark Phoenix castle and…tried to kill all remaining heirs to the throne, and attempted to find Jay. He killed my parents, your grandparents, but I escaped with some loyal guards and all the citizens.

This is General Owen, my loyalist and bravest General.” Jenny explained, motioning to the man. General Owen bowed respectfully to Jay and Jack. “I’m happy to serve any nephews or nieces of our Warrior Queen.” General Owen said. “So how do we defeat the Krakos?” Jack asked. Jenny glanced at the towering black figure, that was trying to bat the dodging griffins in the sky. “I’m afraid it going to be a long difficult battle. There was only one person who could defeat Tom easily…and that was my brother James. There will be a lot of sacrifice today. The Krakos will not be easily defeated.”

(On Mobile) I Finally got it using Argentavis and Grapple method, i got it on the second try, first try was a succeed i knocked her down and landed on redwoods but eventually get eaten by Allosaurus, good thing i have back up save before try to tame her in case something like that first attempt happens (sorry for bad English)

I was out traveling one day and saw one of these i was like yes a quetz!!! I Tamed him like 10 or 15 mins later i named him super jet. Me and jet one day went to a cave i went in the cave and got the artifact. When i got out jet was gone!!!!! I was so sad and it didn’t eveN say he died! I will find u jet iwiilllllll find uuuuuu budddyyy.

I’m sorry, but I’m going to keep writing fan fiction. I don’t care what you think, we fan fiction writers are gonna keep doing what we do.

So I was going to red obelisk to find one and I did it I guided him straight to south zone 2 and I had a great time with him until he went to the redwoods I tried hitting him to guide him back but he just kept running away so it was fun while it lasted 1 like=1 prayer for random quetzal

So I’m playing crystal isle right? And I wanted a quetzal really badly you know to have a sky base right? So I go out and I see one right off the bat right level 60 63 doesn’t matter I have a lot of tranqs so I say screw it and just tame it. Literally right after o tame the quetz I see another level 152. I am not joking when i say I found 23 QUETZALS in 1 go.so to all the people who say quetzals are rare.PLAY CRYSTAL ISLES.

I named mine amber because well my pteranodon turned out being too fast… luckily I was on mobile and was able to grab her implant… normally I wouldn’t do this but I had been eyeing that quetz ever since I first saw her near the red obelisk on my very first day. She was only level 14 (which still costs about 35 amber to revive 😬) but when she tamed she got an extra 6 levels… not a lot but it’s better than nothing but I was also doing the “tame a quetz” pursuit which gave her an extra 41 levels… luckily when I tamed her i was smart enough to not make the same mistake and instead build a trap around the obelisk so she couldn’t leave… I also tested the trap on a level two parasaur which was a good call because when I revived the parasaur it spawned in the roof of my trap which caused it to glitch through and escape… I can only imagine what would’ve happened if I revived the quetz without testing and improving the trap…

I intercepted a trade between two people who were trading a quetzal and right when one of them pressed unclaim and the quetzal started to fly away I shot both people hopped up onto my level 164 argy claimed the quetz and then went back to get the stuff from their inventories and found a ascendant platform saddle for the quetz along with a few guns and tek legs. I walked away happy with my new prises

So i knock down a quetzal that was lvl 270 and female, and it drop on a river and u know its about to die, so i give up and go with sadness, but turns out on my way back home i found lvl max 300 but male, i try to tame it and when its almost unconsious i ran out of tranq darts💀

If you do the mission we have to kill 10 Argie you get a qetal saddle

So my tribe mate found a quetzal.. so ofc we decided to tame it, it was 390 lol we didn’t have a tap like everyone says you need so she grabbed me with our argy and I was glitchy shooting it, and it ran into volcano and got knocked, so long story short now we have a quetzal. btw everyone says you need a tap to tame a quetz and it is probably the best thing to use especially for single player but we changed things up and used the quetz to tame a tap XD.

Fun fact, these things wing span is as large as a bus

I once had a Quetz named Copper. I tamed Copper with my Griffin, Ilana. Me and Copper did explorer note runs, found Gigas, and more. Then, came the day I had to tame a Titan. I had a cannon, cannonballs, and a Titan platform saddle. I had gotten two torpor shots and things were going well. Then, we got stuck inside the Titan. I couldn't mount Copper again because I could only target the Titan. So, I punched the Titan. The Titan stomped Copper and Copper fought back. I whistled follow, but Copper was dead. I grabbed her implant, killed the Titan with god console, and headed back to base. I didn't have nearly enough amber to revive her, so I decided to save up. I was going on a supply drop run to look for amber, and on the way back, I saw a Quetz. I grabbed taming supplies, my Griffin, Neyossa, and taming food. I knocked it out with shocking tranq darts and tamed it. It was a female like Copper, so it would lay eggs. I tamed it, and it was a beautiful blue. I let my friend name it. The End! R.I.P Copper.
