If you take the egg from the female Quetzal it will agro to you and try to hunt you down. For the trap you will need a couple large bear traps then some Dino gateways then you have it trap and you can tame it.

I'm taming a 140 by myself and have the kibble for it But i would not recommend anything over a 150 if you don't have a partner and be prepared to sit there for a while I'm doing it with 1.5 speeds on public server and been sitting here for 2 hours only 40% (P.S. don't do it in the cold.)

To solo tame, grab an argy and a scorpion and set the scorpion to aggressive then simply get up in its grill.

Get up to its face and hope it likes you

If u are solo and don't want to buy one a easy way is get on a Argi and take a scorpion the pice the scorpion whistle it attack my target hit the quetz and the scorpion will do all the torpor

Use a packyrhino to lure it back to your base for maximum protection

A level 1 took about 14 tranq darts. Our method of tranqing involved two people one grappled to an argent and the other chasing the bird.

If it's your first quetz get a tapejara with loads of stamina! Makes downing this beast much easier. I got the first quetz on my official ps4 server lastnight with a different tribe flying there tapejara and me shooting, without him I couldn't of done it lol

Be prepared to be scared constantly while taming one in a quetz trap. They move around and it is frightening to say the least.

Ive heard/saw on youtube that you can just jump off your argentavis or any other of your tamed flying dinosaurs and land on the wing of thw wild quetzel. make sure your bird is following you to. You can then just shoot it in the head till it knocks out. Make sure you have a parachute with you just in case you miss the bird.

Currently this patch the quetzals are spawning alot at Red ob and if you have a wyvern you can clear the map then go to red and just kill and repeat til high level spawns by just killing it and flying away for a few seconds

1 or 2 will spawn depending hope long to stay out of render

If you already have a quetz with a platform, build a trap on the platform. 2 thatch foundation with 1 thatch ceiling around each edge (should have a 3x3 tile floor), then build thatch door frames and build them 2 high on every other tile on each edge except for the back. Have 4 thatch doorframes and at least 6 thatch ceilings ready. You will fly in front of the Wild quetz and let it fly into the box, once it's in the box, dismount and place the doorframes on the rear edge behind the quetz, then place the ceilings on all your doorframes and in the centre on the ceiling square. You can now knock it out and it cannot escape.

If you're trying to tame it by yourself tame a scorpion and put it on aggressive then pick it up with a arge and fly right behind the quetzal

Quetzal usually spawn by red on so if you could set up a bola turret by there you can chase it to the person on the bola and they can take it down after that unload your life of trans into it until it k.o.

I have found higher levels without having to wait and kill at blue and green oblisks.

Have 2 crossbows one with hooks and one with tranq arrows just alternate between them then you sould get it (of shot in head for better life)

Like that. Big bird can carry dinos also can make base on their back lol.

For taiming a quez u could use are scorpian and a argy and also if u already have a quez u can make a box for the platform saddle and u can trap it and knock it out.
