Another way to solo tame a quetz is with a fast argy and scorpion, upgrade the Scorpions damage, and set it to aggressive, then get on the argy pick up the scorpion fly up to the quetz and after 1-30 hits (depinding on level multipliers, etc) the quetz is knocked out,

To Knock it out u can use a Flyer and grappling hooks

Best way is to tame a tapejara and fly on the top of it and shoot the quetzal untill it falls

If you have a Gryffon or any other flying mount that you can shoot from while riding, just stay close to it and pelt it with tranq darts/shocking tranq darts. They’re not very fast so they can’t escape a decently fast tame with good stamina.

One word for KOing this thing: Griffin. Super useful creature, the only flier you can use weapons whilst riding. Grab a crossbow and loads of tranqs, find a suitable quetzal, and go crazy! Just watch your stamina though!

If on ragnarock use a Griffin for a easy tame. Driver of the Griffin can shoot a crossbow so it is a possible solo tame

If you have buddies, a good Tapejara can keep up with the Quetzal and angle some really good shots for your friends with it's maneuverability. If not, you can ride a griffin while using a crossbow, hope this helps!

You might be able to put a industrial forge on the quetzal so it's easy smelting

Platform saddle on a plesiosaur, add ballista turret and put chain bolas into it. A whole bunch of them.

Try and hit over land, then tranq him senseless with possible re-bola if he wakens.

All you need is a tek suit, a harpoon launcher, and some net projectiles to get one of these bad boys out the sky

Guys use pulmono max damage and an argy with good stamina, then you won’t have to spend all ur time trying to find Tapejaras and crafting tranq darts

I have 3 female quetzal what should I do with them up to make a egg farm with them or down to tame a male and breed them

For the person who gave their Quetz potent dust.

Potent dust does had low chance to cause someone or a Dino to get knocked out, which the thing happened to me when I'm painting my beaver white then it just fainted and fell down the cliff.

So whoever consumes potent dust for levels or painting their Dino's, look out.

Bring stimulants before you eat sand, just in case. It's not coarse, it's not rough, and it's not irritating - but it does clog up your nose, 'addictive', get you high enough to the point of fainting, because Rockwell said to consume the dust is to inhale it.

This isn't my tip, I havent even tamed one of these things yet. But my friend told me, use a dodo arrow, while someone with a griff or quetz with platform saddle brings you up to a wild quetz, hit it with the arrow, land, and proceed to knock it out. Dodo arrows aggro passive creatures.

Just get a revive platform make a trap around it muder the querzal take its implant go to the platform with your trap then find out you don't have enough amber
