Tips & Strategies

What are tips for pteranodon? Tips and strategies for pteranodon in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I tamed one not too long ago, I could not think of a name so I didn't name him. I took him flying and I didn't realize that he was almost out of stamina and he ran out. He started landing, I tried to stop him but there was nothing I could do. He ended up landing in front of a Therizonosaur (or however you spell it lol), a Baryonyx, and a Spino. He put up a good fight and made time for me to escape. He will forever be honered.
1 vot up = 1 prayer for my Pteranodon. #RIP
Beat place to find higher levels is in the south-eastern part of the redwoods on the island. Took me a few hours running around looking for a 150 to figure this out.
Only go for 115+ otherwise they suck megasoreass...
If it tast like chicken keep on licking. Tast like fish get the fu/ck out
The usual starting flier. Their spin attack can easily clean out swarms of meganeura and titanomyrma. You can also use it and other fliers to lure away imminent dangers you're not prepared to take on from your home by aggroing it and flying away. Later on switch to argy since it can travel longer and carry a wider variety of animals.
Everyone always goes for melee.... 2000 health and 2500 stamina then raise melee. Now you have a bird that can stay in the fight rather than killed when it gets grounded.
150 tames r the best but although they r high most 145 tame r better for lvl bonuses
.
how to tame:
get bola
bola pteranodon
knock it out
tame
tips: level up their stamina up A LOT, if it’s a high level, get the stamina to 2000 and then get the weight to about 400kg and THEN level up damage for a PvP pteranodon or Speed For PVE.
Big thanks to the person who posted the comment about using the spyglass while rolling. I take back my earlier comment about not recommending it as a way to kill gigas. In the past two days, without any backup or imprint, Shadowbeak has become my most valued tame with his score of 1 giga, 1 alpha Rex, countless rexes, brontos and paracers and a titanosaur. (Yes, titanosaur, which was easier and more relaxing than the giga kill.) Boosting his level from 209 to 240. Far more impressive than the spinos or the one mosa I've been keeping. Seriously, with this feature the pteranodon is definitely the hardest hitter on the island, if not the other maps.
You need to bola it and knock it out with a club. Use any type of meat, bio toxin, narcotics or narcoberrys. And to make sure there's no predators around. It will take a while and don't hit it or anything or it will wake up. And unconscious bar goes down fast and use at least 3 or 4 bio toxins and 2 narcotics also use 8 raw fish meat or just a few stacks just in case
Ok
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaru
The only time they attack you is if you steal their egg..I guess its reasonable
Dont know why or when this happened. When u knock out your ptera n the ptera takes damage in the middle of starve taming the effectiveness goes down so is there still a point of starve taming ...?
Never bola high level pteranodon if you useing club
Bruh for some reason my tame got away cause I could not deal damage to it for some reason (I used a bola and knocked him unconscious and put cooked prime meat from an ad and his torpor was getting low so I hit him once but then the second time it felt no damage and it got away) someone help me I search the web but it says nothing I’m on mobile
Can they carry doedics? Ujjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj (the tip wasn’t long enough)
Never ever go on evencher without a weapon cause a t-Rex killed me befor
