Highly suggest a trap it took 2 super heats on official x1 rates to tame on top stat fire wyverns while alternating turns with 1 other tribe mate and yes it was a low level

Get a tapejara and a tribesmember. One of you ride on the back of the saddle, the other drive. The person on the back should have either a crossbow and flame arrows or a flamethrower, if you're feeling daring. Fly near one and eat a rare flower. The phoenix will chase you, so you can fly away and the person on the back shoots the phoenix. Make sure you have ghille and cactus broth, because they only spawn in heat waves. If you are on a server where you can transfer dinos, you can build a metal box with an open side on the back of a quetzal, let the phoenix fly in, and wall up the opening. Proceed to light it up...literally. If you follow the phoenix during a heat wave, when it deepens know that next heatwave it will spawn in the same place. Build a large platform out of any material under where the phoenix will spawn. Wait for a heatwave, then quickly bola the phoenix and box it in. You can either build a big box and go in with it, or make a window you can shoot it through. Good luck!

YOU CANNOT PILLAR WHERE ITS ASHES ARE. Use this to help pinpoint its location when building trap.

Sometimes it will glitch and spawn on top of your trap ceiling. Try placing two layers of ceiling 6 blocks apart - it will spawn on first layer and be trapped.

Darn thing caught me on fire when it spawned in. I was standing on the Nooblets trap. I climbed back up and it was out of the trap. I followed it on a wyvrn and when it turned to ashes, I couldn’t find it with a parasaur. I guess it despawned. I am sad.

If you're like me and still play ASE, use a parasaur's special to ping the Phoenix underground during a heatwave or after it. When you've found it... Build a trap and look at another tip I'm just quoting raasclark-Macncheezl

When heat wave start and Phoenix is back after it was ash pile use tons of oil jars and light them boom you have a Phoenix and they eat sulfur

The Phoenix is found on Scorched Earth during a scorch wave. After the wave is over, the Phoenix will turn into an ash pile and fall to the ground from where it was last hovering. The ash pile is not visible. Use a Tek Parasaur to detect exactly where it is and build a trap over it. It will come out during the next scorch wave. Flame it to tame it.

The Phoenixes eat sulfur once tamed.

You can use a fire wyvern to tame it

If you have a quetz, you can make a quetz catcher on it and use that to catch the Phoenix, allowing you to get close enough to flame thrower it.

Easyest way to tame it is to get a fire wyvern and use its fire breath to attack it and it will tame very fast depending on the leval of the phoenix

How to tame one: have parasaurus and a flyer that can take the para 4-8 oil jars and flame arrows set the para to turret mode and detect a phoenix underground and built the trap from nooblet now when the heatwave comes the phoenix should be traped and throw 4 oil jars in each corner of the trap now shot with a flame arrow on the oil and dada there is your phoenix

Why don’t people build a trap after u followed it in the last heat wave were it disappeared?

Two-person tame. Get one of you to eat a rare flower consistently, like have at least 30. Once you've successfully located a Phoenix (they're smaller than you might think), both people must be on a high-health fire wyvern. Then, whoever is the designated rare flower bait, start on your duty. As the Phoenix attacks, both must flame breath the Phoenix. IT tames in no time at all. Just remember to keep on those rare flowers, or the Phoenix will de-aggro and speed away from you.

To tame it i allways use a quetz with platform just build a metal box and leave the front area open if the phoenix flies in dismount close the area and use flamethrower

An easy way to catch a Phoenix is to use a fire stone and to use an oil jar

Follow during heat wave. Using a pillar you can locate precise location of its position on the ground. Use rare flowers if you want To agro this beast. Make it follow you to a prime location if possible (very unpredictable). Build a 3x3 square trap 6 high, above it's location and enclose with ceilings. (Stone preferred) Use any method to tame but it requires some serious flames to tame. If you don't get it the first time repeat your trap ontop of your current build now your 12 high with another ceiling ontop. So on and so on until it's tamed. It will leave your trap if you leave render distance(beware) when it spawns you better be there at the trap.

I've tried spawning them in the spawn might not work on Xbox by the way to tame it get a fire wyvern and spit fire at its face when it turns to ash shoot fire at the ash pile OK here's a cheat to tame instantly too click rb and lb at same time while holding those click x and y button to get the admin command bar up for Xbox then put in forcetame and before you do that tho point at the creature you wanna tame then type it in after typing it in click admin command then the creature you point at becomes yours and if you forcetame you can ride it with no saddle
