Ok, so not sure if this works for everyone but it certainly works for me. I almost have 20 of these guys now on my official and I’ve found half of them without a heatwave or using a para. I use my skiff and because the thing is so fast it doesn’t give the Phoenixs enough time to render in the ground. So they appear floating right above the ground. Once u find it just mark it on ur map and build a trap around it. Also I’ve been finding them in the dunes more now.

the only problem with the Phoenix is that it's kind of hard to find it's spawns everywhere on the map so you're gonna have to look all around the map to find one I recommend a parasaur when you find it and it turns to ashes use it the parasaur and then use some type of trap search it up online and I recommend oil jars and a torch I don't recommend using a bow with flame arrows it will decrease taming effectiveness to the ground

Trap it in a stone /adobe monkey trap and put a roof on fast. My opinion is to get a fire wyvern or a catapult with fire projectiles and attack till tamed.

Easy, Wait till the heatwave is over then when ashes are down build a cage 5 walls up over the. Itll spawn and be trapepd, Then use oil jards. The more you use the faster it tames.

Use 2 mate boosted fire wyverns 600 melee pump Stam, trap in a 5 high 1x1 fence foundation trap with normal doorframes, place a 3x3 ceiling platform on the side to put your wyverns on 2 doorframes high, I tamed a 50 on 4x in about one minute on official servers

Flamethrowes and fire wyverns can tame it

Taming is a pain in the butt. However it is worth it since this thing is a refining forge, camp fire and heat source all in one. It can cook your meat, it can refine raw metal, and it can keep you warm during the nights. (Xbox one version)

If you transfer it to map with reaper kings, do not let it get it by the projectile attack. It will force it to land but since the phoenix can’t land, it will just stay near the ground and will probably die

Heat wave is best time to find it

they need to add fire wyvern breath taming and flame thrower taming and torch taming right?

Be ready to waste multiple hours waiting for a heat wave.

Use the Pay2Win Gene Scanner (Bob’s Tall Tales DLC) to find during heatwaves or before/after to find yourself a Phoenix on Official Servers.

With the phoenix you can use fire wyverns to tame it

You can use the new bobs tall tales gene scanner to find it with no heatwave going. I have found 3 on the map at one time with this. Once you found the spot using the gene scanner use a cryo to lock on to it to find its exact location underground.

Ok so anyone that haven’t found or tamed 1 yet or want a go at it just get the GENE SCANNER with the bob expansion …you can track a phoenix even if it’s not in heatwave ..found 2 different phoenix in the same heatwave using the scanner, I killed the 1st low level one and another was already on the map right after.

Trap it in a argy trap but instead of using regular dino gates use behemoth ones and then keep on hitting it will a high melee fire wyvern. Remember they only last for 5 mins so tame them quick

You can tame it with a flamethrower too, if you have someone ride a Tappy or Griffin, sit on the back and have the flamethrower at the ready.

Just wait for a super heat fly around on an Argie or a wyvern with para that is constantly detecting enemies once you find It wait until the super heat ends watch nooblet’s video and when a super starts again hurl oil jars at set them on fire repeat AND BOOM you have a phoenix

Really the thing that’s hard with them is finding them as they can be anywhere on the map and that only around three spawn and the fact they only spawn during heat wave. If you find one don’t lose it when it falls to the ground build a six foot high cage around it. If you hav le actually trapped it use a fire wyvern as they are the most effective but arrows and flamethrowers work as well
