On ARK MOBILE these guys can't actually be found on the Island itself. It can only be found in dungeons as the eerie pegomastax.

The pegomastax stole my rocket launcher... be careful with these little guys, they appear out of nowhere.

Ok so I’ve herd people getting really pissed of by these things because they have stolen their stuff and they couldn’t find them so they lost their good items but their is actually a really easy way to find them. You are probably familiar with these things taming method you let them steal berries from you and than they tame. because of this method when they steal something from you the game thinks you are trying to tame them. So hypothetically speaking of the game thinks your trying to tame them you could use the taming tracker to pinpoint their exact location from all the way across the map and because their taming they won’t despawn (do keep in mind that they still are wild so if a Dino wipe happens they will despawn) please up if this helps

If ya wanna tame one of these thangs ya gotta let it STEAL SOME BERRIES after it steals some wait a little then NAME YOUR PEGOMASTAX will pop up! You can only tame it when awake.

If a pego steals something then you can k.o. Or kill it and open its inventory and you can get your stuff back.

Unless it’s food then you’re out of luck.

This little bugger stole my level 240 thorny dragon cryopod while I was teaching my friend how to raise a baby dodo. It proceeded to run into a high level, alpha raptor and die. Wow.

I can’t find these on ark mobile so I don’t think they spawn on ark mobile

to tame one, just put a mejoberry in the last slot and let it steal you, repeat this process until it tames

These guys are a passive tame and if you want to tame these guys, you have to allow them to steal berries from your inventory. Don't attack them.

This creature, the Pegomastax, is available on many islands and is typically aggressive because of its desire for peeking at your inventory. When it sees something it wants, it takes it, but they are easy to knock out and kill because they have a very low torpor tolerance.
