it’s the level that increases range oviraptor picks up. NOT melee!

I might be wrong but if I think they should be given a drop point and when set on wonder they can get eggs and bring them to drop point(s)

Don't know if it encourages egg laying, but I've never seen so many dino turds in my life.

The bunny version off this creature lays Dino candy’s feed them to your dinos to change there colour and give them a buff (only at Easter)

Don't waste your wyvern eggs on these. Would think it would be a big boost but no only 2%on a lvl 20 on official servers...... waste

It will run away from you it’s very fast but for some reason it runs to the water

You can bola it but make sure u do it from a far distance as they tend to freak out when they get near u :)

ASA Auto egg collection with oviraptors!

You want to have two oviraptors tamed,

1 for the egg laying boost (On Wander)

1 to collect eggs

The one used to collect eggs should be as high of a level as possible to increase the range it can pick up eggs. (No need to level a specific stat like weight or melee to increase range just level!)

Contrary to what I read below, you don't need to level up specifically melee or weight in order to increase the range of picking up eggs. It's the overall level of your Oviraptor that matters, so you can level up any stat.

If they pick up an egg the parents don’t aggro

You can tame it with Dodo eggs, just just need more, ~10 for a level 1.

On Ark ASA leveling melee damage does NOT have increase range of egg collection or buff. The only thing that increases its range is the total level of the creature. Only the number floating over their heads will control the range. The only stat you should be leveling is food to keep it fed longer.

The pickup radius for the Oviraptor is a cube not a circle. And the square is lined up to the North, South, East and West. So if your base is not perfectly lined up with the compass it might be harder to get the best range for egg collection.

Unless you have one of the top 6 eggs listed on this app, stick to small ones. The lighter the egg, the faster they eat it. Unless it’s one of the top 6, they all give it the same amount of points for taming. For example, a Rex egg will tame it faster than dodo eggs, but dodo vs. titanoboa? The titanoboa will take longer to eat, but you’ll need just as many in the end. At least on Mobile. Just get a ton of light weight eggs and go at it.

They do eat meat when tamed don’t waste your eggs

Tamed ones can steal eggs when on follow bring them to nests with cryopods

These guys are a must-have if you find yourself needing to clean out 0:00 spoil timer eggs from nests. If you set one of these on follow near an egg, it’ll steal it without any aggro. You can then take it out of its hands without worrying about 6 wyverns chasing you down for that insta-spoiled lvl 20 poison egg that no one will touch. Up if helpful!!
