Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a otter? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a otter.
I can feed them sarco egg kibble too
Don’t let it eat anything, shot compy(s?) by my 60% tamed one and it reset and kept taming effectiveness ;-;
Tanning effectiveness is wrong for a lv60 each 1.0 piranha gives about 5%
Be sure to kill all aggressive creatures in the area before taming. I lost my 92% otter in a fight with a Baryonx
I had an Otter and named him Scarf. He completed my fur armour and kept me snuggly and warm on trips to the snow.
I got ambushed by an alpha raptor and we both died. I will replace my beloved Scarf.
In the mobile, you can’t use fish but you can use the normal passive taming method to tame them.
For anybody playing on mobile, it’s just a passive tame with raw fish meat and raw prime fish meat.
I saw one of these fellas in a nearby river surrounded by spinos, fortunately I was able to reach it, but the thing is I am a total noob so I tried to knock it out and feed it some fish but right after I did so my dodo murdered it without any hesitation, the poor thing squeaked as it was killed brutally, moral of the story, never underestimate your dodo, especially if you’re around a otter.
To tame an Otter, simply interact with it (default "E" on PC) while dragging any kind of fish. Sabertooh Salmon is the best, Coel is the worst. Fish size matters more than type, so Megapiranhas are often worse than large Coels. When dragging large fish, chances are high that it will obstruct the vision while standing still; Just walk/swimm to the Otter and feed it before coming to a stop in order to keep the fish carcass behind you.
Quite common on Aberration, Otters spawn at large numbers from where the Fertile River delta splits in two (not going to the Fertile Lake) until its fall to the Luminous Marshlands. It's also worth note that the northern section has neither large predators nor Megapiranhas and Mantas on most of its lenght.
No other map has such a noteworthy spawn, but they can be found on most Redwood Forest lakes except for The Center, where it is unadvised to look for them.
Found easily in rivers on Abberation, near Spino spawns and are easy to spot by the cluster of fish protecting them. Sometimes you will see a Carbonemys swimming on top of a group. They eat a lot.
When breeding otters throw Mum into a wooden cage, stand in there when she's ready to give birth and then it tends to make it easier to imprint on the baby. Saves you building a room for them unless of course you already have one spare
Where can I find an otter. Please tell me
If you can't find a otter in the normal spot you always do try killing some coel.
Oof. In ark mobile you tame this like any other passive tame using Fish/prime fish meat to do so
found some between the swamp and redwoods. (also I heard that if you upgrade their melee to 300 you won't freeze anymore. Not sure if it's true.)
If you tame it , it will die at soon .it s health slowly turns from 54 to 52 . Then it slowly dies
If you put the otter in an argy’s beak then you can easily drag a fish to it.
Everyone’s saying how they are extremely rare in groups.
I just found three decent level ones right by the cliff On the redwood beach.
Don’t be me and waste time feeding it raw fish from a jacked up fis, skip that process and just pick up the fish and feed it to it whole.
On mobile you can just feed it raw fishmeat instegs of whole fishes
