I just tamed and otter and put a hat on him.

If you have soothing balm give that to the otter after you feed it it’s first time then use soothing balm and feed it again that’s how mine tamed at the second feed.

If you kill one of these before you are a monster

Mobile how 2 tame otter:

1: Fly around on pt

2: find an otter

3: kidnap

4: bring it in trap / base(?)

( don’t hit it if it’s thatch )

5: get fish meat / prime fish in hotbar

6: feed for 1-10 minutes

7: HAVE FUN!

(Also I would suggest having spare otters, they die pretty easily. I learnt it the hard way it didn’t take long to find more though only took about A FRICKING HOUR! But I think I found a spawn spot it’s near swamp and redwoods, hope you can find it, btw it’s best to breed them, you have a chance of getting twins / triplets I got twins on my first try, their both female :) gl!)

You can fly an argent into the skeleton dino waterfall cave on ragnarok (argents spawn on the cliff above that cave) and you can grab the precious bean in its beak and then kill fish to feed it without it running around. Only coelacanths and salmon spawn in the cave. Near the path between the mud hill and the metal plains on ragnarok there’s a lake full of coelacanths that you can use attack whistles for Pearl harvesting! Hope this helps.

You literally can’t tame these thing without going into ghost mode cause the fish just envelops your screen I just tried to tame one and I couldn’t because the fish I was holding was in the way somehow. This bug will probably never get fixed just like every other bug in this game

Otters do not run when you are taming theme

I went to tame a otter a while back but got killed by a raptor so I left and forgot about it, after a long time I came back and I turns out I did in fact tame the otter who was just waiting there, I ended up being killed in the middle of a river and while trying to retrieve my stuff my otter got killed by a piranha

all i did was use my pteranodon to pick it up and bring it back to my base to tame safely upevote

Hard to find in the game by its self

On Valguero you are able to get otters in the chalk hills area! They are pretty easy to find ( This is from experience as I found 2 in the span on minutes) Listen for a low and quiet sound and give them fish ( Sabertooth Salmon are better and the otter tamed faster!) However on mobile feed it raw fish meat!

Idk if this true but alot of people saying MY OTTER DIED TO CARNO. Do otters spawn where Carnos spawn? I haven't tested yet but if you see a carno near a river/medium size water source. You might get lucky and find an otter also idk if this true lol
