You have to be level 65 or higher to tame, if you try to tame one while below level 65 it will say "Must Be Level 65 To Tame." They also cannot be fed when aggroed. If you are on ume or pc they have genders so they can breed and have the mate boost, but if you're on old ark mobile they have no gender so they cannot breed or have the mate boost.

I think instead of them just sitting there they should hang upside down

I have 8 very high level bats protecting my Dino pen and during an offline raid on me the bats swarmed the three raiders and managed to kill all three of them. The had journeyman Flak and mastercraft weaponry. So in the near future I will be taming many more of them

To tame the bat, you must have bug repellent on to prevent the creature from attacking you. You must non-violently/passively tame it meaning you feed it by NOT KNOCKING IT OUT, the best food to use is raw prime meat.

I hope this is helpful because this creature is perfect for a bodyguard.

Tip: They do extra damage against armour and destroy it quickly making this tame useful for pvp.

If you breed these enough times, get lucky with mutations and all, the Oync becomes a force to be reckoned with, and in groups, will cause devastating amounts of damage.

Its a great creature for Defense and protecting bases.

Just forcetamed one and was able to ride it and it looked VERY silly.

Really You can’t ride them you can’t PUT THEM ON UR SHOULDER ALL THEY DO IS BITE THEY DONT EVEN GIVE RABIES IN MOBILE

If you use forcetame it is rideable

This bat does the same amount of damage as a Carno 35 damage, and due to this being easy to tame (kind of, I will explain later), a pack of these are effective against players and SOME dinosaurs. There are some dinosaurs with a large AOE like the Bronto so avoid engaging in battles with those types of creatures. I also heard that they have a rabies skill which drains the health of the victim, up if it’s true, down if it’s false.

These guys are good at destroying armor but don’t waste your time with it just get dimorphodons at the swamp.

They’re useful for combat but it would be nice if it could latch to your back and give you a second jump, to make it just a bit more useful like the rest of the dinos. Double jump Onyx backpack would be nice

Nothing attacks them even when attacked, they are like a super dimorpho

These creatures “Bats” I’ve been told, can carry rabies as in of real life if you have an Arthropleaura (Arthro) will not aggro them and makes it easy for the tame the best damage calculated from level 1-80 always need 20-30 meat but level 10’s use 10 meat and is actually an Easter egg I’ve been told I myself LIVE in a cave and have four of them. I recommend using these amazing creatures as guards as they can outmaneuver even the great Giganotosaurus (Giga) amazing tames and will inflict Rabies virus or Mega Rabies virus on its said enemies therefore making it the best guard tame and for an unknown reason, are EXTREMELY underrated in my opinion they should be given more respect and given credit

Honestly, they are not good tames (my opinion), they are a passive tame that is a "shoulder animal" but u cant put them on or shoulder, they just follow you, so they easily get stuck and u lose them.

Some people say that they are good for defending bases, hum.... They can be, but i think there are loads of other animals that are much better at doing this.

They dont farm sh#t.

They dont have any special atk ou abilitys.

They are small so u cant mount, but big enough so u cant put them on your shoulder, etc.

For me they dont serve any porpouse besides pissing u off in caves.

Iffff they got a buff, maybe it will be a nice tame, especialy if u can put it on your shoulder and have the ability to make the other cave creatures not agro on u, like the spider, arthro, etc.

But the way it is now, i think its useless
