Moschops are very good begginer dinos not only do they gather most stuff at a decent rate but they are fat and they do some damage. So if you see this(not on mobile) you should tame one. Unless it wants some hawaii island coconut water then tame one

Freaking overpowered and underrated. Gathers gathers fiber by the hundreds

I play ark mobile on Brutal difficulty(xp gain is nonexistent and wild creatures go up to level 450) and this has been my most valuable tame since I started. Yes, it is a coward, but it is crazy useful. Mine is level 407 after taming, and it has survived EVERYTHING the game has thrown at it so far. I highly recommend taming one as soon as you start the game(not difficult to do and I tamed mine while at level one.) Here are the main advantages:

1: Tanky, so you can use it to take attacks from something while trying to knock it unconscious. Also, you

don't really need to worry about it dying if yours is a decent level,(A level 50 one can have about a thousand health in the wild and might gain a lot more after taming if you are lucky.

2: Crazy good at gathering resources(In a resource rich area, mine collected almost 5000 thatch, a thousand wood and a thousand berries in the span of 3 in game days. Set it to wander if you want it to go collect things for you)

3: Surprisingly strong. While attempting to tame a knocked out stego, accidently killed it with a single attack(Around 300 damage, and yes, I know mine is a ridiculously high level, but my level 40 one with mate boost and a few points in melee hits for about 80).

4: Because they're pretty easy to tame and pretty light on resources to do so, even if it is a high level one (mine only took around 11 berries and a good deal of patience.) You get a lot out of taming one, and because they are easy to get, they are a must have for new players.

I've tamed 2 moschops and they both died from idk so just use a sickle or get a monkey or the chicken of forsaken manicure

In ASA they do not run from conflict anymore! They can now be leveled in health and damage to become like guard dogs. I just lost half my dinos in a surprise therizino attack, and one of my moschops dealt the final blow!

Best Dino to start with, destroys dilos and do easy to tame. You don't even need a saddle to ride it.

It literally rips trees from the ground

Moschops are really great at gathering fiber if your playing on mobile just let it follow and let it stop on the top of a fern, jungle fern or other plants they gather a lot of fiber.

This guy is one of the best starter Dino’s, it’s smaller but quick and nimble and it can harvest just about anything you really need to get early on in the game. It’s also pretty easy to tame just having a rare mushroom in the last slot.

We bred two moschops they had a baby but the baby died and we harvested the body and

It gave us prime meat!! Someone in the dodo tips said they did the same thing and it gave them prime meat to!! So I think if you harvest

Any baby/ juniville animal with a axe it will give you prime meat ( I think pretty sure)

This is basically your pit bull that never is aggressive… still a good companion.

I tamed one of these who was low level and I managed to kill a level 80 trike then a level 4 tickle chicken these guys are way to powerful they must be stopped

Tip for beginners: if you tame one of these and set it on wander, it will harvest nearby trees and bushes. I got a TON of fiber and berries this way.

Moschops is a good early resource collecter. Build a wall around resources (ferns, trees, etc. no rocks) then put the Moschops in in the area with the walls (or the resources) and it will be incased in walls collecting lots of resources.

I got 77 prime meat from a single paracer on official during 2x using my moschops to harvest and around 50 organic poly per penguin. But be careful, they like to run away. Far!

-Easy to Tame Early Game Dinosaur

-Can Ride without Saddle

-Gathers Berries, Fiber, Chitin etc. In large Quantities

-Cute

-Can Focus leveling on one Specific Resource to Gather More of that Resource

-May take a while to find One that Eats berries

Without a moschops fiber isn’t very easy to get early game. You have to harvest it with your hands which takes way too long. These guys also help me get narcoberries when I’m crafting narcotics.

Tbh, almost useless on mobile

But on the PC (as you can ride them),

Really useful, to farm about anything

Don't get it near ANY source of danger, one pirhana, and that guys fleeing like usain bolt

It's ok to get it into danger if you have a transponder node and if it's a high level

If you look at the harvest rates on Dododex you will see how good this is and it has amazing stats I have one with 5000 health and deals 300 attack and you can ride them AND they are a passive tame

Only bad thing is they run away if you order them to “attack this target”

If you're in the need of Narcotics and can get enough Narcoberries for them in a short amount of time, Moschops can fix that problem easily, either manually attack harvestable plants and you'll get resource multipliers while doing it with a moschops or set it on aggressive (If you set it to aggressive it won't attack but will endlessly harvest corpses and plants until it's carrying too much to move.) A great starter farmer dinosaur if you're in the need for one.
